what a day... interesting close.
All I can say is... Durak govarit
OK, don't shoot me.... What if this has been going on for years? As Wolf opined - group of individuals buying you to 4.99%, only to form a corporation later. Is it possible - perhaps. But most likely not.
Great summary, thank you. Added as a sticky!
Thanks Sleuth. I guess Jonathan Miller is representing a few clients.
I think following the industry as a whole is the way to go. Frankly, personally, I am tired of the comparison of CW to CVSI to ABC to ???. IMHO, all of this is moot until FDA gives guidelines.
One takeaway from yesterday - California is OK with MJ in products and foods, but not CBD! Hopefully this will turn around soon, or it will be with us for a very, very long time as there are leaders who are heavily invested in pharma. IMHO CBD is more of a threat than THC to pharma. Just my opine, no DD on this.
Ania, I too do not have the time for deep dive into this, here's my take - April - June - new product lines - not sure of how much inventory change went into costs, discounted sales were offered on products, not known if any warehouse personnel reduction occurred, so unknown PR impact to OC.
With COVID-19, I don't know if standard analysis is prudent. I am more interested in the direction the company(s) will take going forward. A few of my staple investments are directly affected by COVID-19; only 1 is faring well, the others have fallen below expectation. It's fun >.< rebalancing a portfolio now...
As far as CVSI goes, I think this is bottom quarter for it, and there should be improvement next quarter. I am making no judgement for company longevity until then.
Not referencing SP, but Q results.
This happens every earnings. Some folks just don't want to wait, and are short sellers (Short term). Once they reach their 10% goal, (or whatever) they begin to sell, and sometimes it causes a sell off, but I really don't see this with today's volume.
I like your perspective.
Well, I think that we have hit bottom. Mr. Dowling painted, IMHO, a very clear picture of the industry as well as the direction the company is taking.
:D
Have no idea, it was a question.
agreed.
It can, and it will, the path is just a bit longer.
I did not overlook that at all. If you look at what has happened in the mean time.... Mona III is gone, along with some others hired by the Monas who played key rolls in accounting functions who are no longer with the company. (DD on key staff members shows this), I would think that CVSI had a whole bunch of house cleaning to do. That was not completed until Dec 2019, at the earliest.
So by the time house was fully clean, price had dropped below accepted levels for NASDAQ. Mr. Dowling is working his B--- off for CVSI, of course he gets remuneration, but hell, so do the LT holders.
'nuff said...
We'll see what happens once earnings are released. There has been much speculation on the board this week about price action reasons. None on this board are clairvoyant enough to know the reasons. But are there insiders on the board? Who knows.
I've come to the conclusion, that SP is definitely in the hand of MMs to be "manipulated", but DANG if you have proof that anyone, I mean anyone, is manipulating the SP, turn them in to the SEC.
We don't know that earnings were a disaster, and we don't know the timing of ER release. Could be anytime during market open, even 30 minutes to close. Too many people, read too many things into "signs" and seemingly get upset when things don't work out the way they wanted.
If only......
I think there are at least 2 camps of investors here (if not more).... Day traders and ST holders, hoping for the next swing up, and those who are true LT investors and accumulators; with maybe some profit taking. I agree with you, that many SH do not understand the implication of us staying on the OTC, as opposed to doing a RS, in order up uplist to a bigger board. Most have ignored what management had written - an RS only for uplist purposes. But perhaps some of the SH want us to remain on the OTC board, so they can continue playing with it, knowing the company is solid. All games come to an end...
CVSI is not some fly by night doing RS constantly in order to keep the SP above sub $0.10. They know what they are doing, and they are also not a "POT" company, but have shown that they are ready to develop the pharma side of the company, as well as to expand by offering non-CBD plant wellness products.
This is not the run of the mill MJ company, yet most treat it that way and continue to compare performance with what appears "out of line" with other MJ companies; bamblasting management strategy.
Sheeze.... Perhaps I give up as well... :)
Maxwell, I think there was a typo in an earlier post, last quarter CW posted $1 million a WEEK, not a day. I don't see their finances 7x worse, I would expect them to remain even, as stated in Q1 release, Q4 is expected to show a "positive" return. I'm not sure if that means only for the quarter, or for the full year.
Just being realistic here.
second page of COAs gives you the 3rd party lab.GB Labs is one. new products not listed yet.
1. 007 approved
2. CV Acute, non CBD product introduced, pulling from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulas
3. NASDAQ, Last quarter report, Mr. Dowling mentioned we do not qualify, at that point the SP was below $2.00 for quite a while. Hoping onc we are over $2.00, there will be more info
4. CVSI took out a PPP loan to weather the storm
5. Shelf Shelf Offer filed, for future use to raise capital, if needed
6. There was a reduction in work force, so we should see less OH this quarter
7. Tomc is still educating
8. McKay is still advocating to FDA
9. 2 research studies published
10. CBD/dog clinical trials are ongoing
11. We are all waiting on FDA
BTW - welcome back, it is good to be appreciated and needed at work. Hopefully, it is not related to posting on stocks..... lol
looks like the lead lawyer withdrew, the rest (4??) are still representing lead plaintiff, Ina.
Curiosity.... Covid-19 related, or something else?
PS sent you the .pdf
Just a wild guess... Not reasoning, but I figured it was as good as any other.... :/
Actually.... The shares held in Aegean Limited were part of the divorce settlement between the Monas. ex-Mrs. Mona's shares are held at Aegean, for various reasons, the stock had to remain in Mona Jr's name. So when I see shares from Aegean being sold, I think it is Ex-Mrs. Mona selling.
Additionally Mr. Mona Jr and Mr Mona III are no longer insiders, even though they may be large shareholders. A bit of a distinction there.
DD is awesome....;) :D See note 1 and 2 on the 2nd page.
possibly just the run up before earning? but I hope it's more then that.
Ahh... So clothing is already issued to someone else, and because the label contains THC, a patent cannot be obtained for a still federally illegal substance and the USPTO states there is no intent to use the brand, as, technically, it is not allowed.
I guess it's kind of silly, as they can sell THC in Colorado, as well as ship to bordering states where THC is legal. This will be a logistical puzzle, as their product cannot travel through 8 states legally, so they need to be sure of their carrier's route to avoid seizure. But how does this apply to states with only Medical use approved? Can the product travel ground through these states?
I guess the THC industry has a lot to work out still....
Try 88380592; this is the one for SB om supplements,
Good one! I wonder if a warning letter will go out.
Congratulations Beth! Wishing James McNulty well.
8K filing
off topic, you are discussing non CVSI company strategy here. what does this really have to do with CVSI? have you seen them make such a claim on their packaging or ads?
I think it is a brilliant move to expand into other traditional plant medicines now. SHL has a great history of helping with asthma and other lung issues. There are many more plants out there, and many more products to be produced.
:D
I thought it was funny that holders of CVSI stock would band together to sell CW. Too much credit given.
But on the topic of SHL - SHUANGHUANGLIAN - it is a composition of 3 plants: Honeysuckle, fructus forsythiae and Scutellaria baicalensis, all of these are grown in the US. Just because something is traditional Chinese Medicine doesn't mean it has to come from China.
Have a great week.
Too funny!
This is soooo good to see. CVSciences if finally expanding into Sciences.
Curiosity.... CV (TM) and packaging... Is this for the look for the new pharma division?
What do you base this on?
good one.
Thank you for this. Hopefully we will soon learn what the guideline are; hopefully during the next 2 OMB meetings.
Thank you for this. It shows me that they are definitely looking to capture the market with derivative products and not only chewing gum.
It's interesting to me that the gum, has a nicotine center, and a CBD outer shell. I could hazard a reason for this, but I don't have the scientific background to do so.
:D
