Looking for the article, but I thought I saw a headline where all publicly traded companies are going to have to return any money they received intended for small businesses.
Maybe they had been, but the demands where just too high from the generics... after all, they DID settle with Teva long ago... so if the demands from Hikma and Dr Reddy were too high earlier, they are probably much higher now and management would rather just roll the dice and hope they win the appeal.
But, it is another one officially on the books and can be used to demonstrate its efficiency in action, rather than as a concept, to potential customers/investors. Another feather in the cap for our new leadership!
Awesome! Thank you!
Can anyone on the call please provide basic info that is said? Thank you! - Sincerely, Those of us still at work in essential jobs, but checking our phones.
While it is a possibility, I think they would have to come forth right away with that info, rather than schedule a conference call 5 days in advance. So I think it is to showcase better-than-expected quarterly numbers (why else pre-announce given the situation) and to indicate happenings in Europe or elsewhere overseas... I would not be surprised if they announce a European partnership before the call and plan to discuss it on the call. That is just MHO though.
Where was the reference to FCEL in it? Did I miss it? I know the author frequently writes opinions on FCEL, but I did not see a mention of FCEL in this piece.
I don’t know if they can expedite the appeal... I figure it will be probably 14-18 months until the decision is made on the appeal.
Man, you are one ANNOYING MOFO... welcome to my ignore list.
Hopefully an injunction against the generics while waiting for the appeal... and watch current scripts grow and grow.
Lets not forget future royalties from China unless something happened I am not aware of.
Would you be saying the same thing if the judge decided the other way, like most of the experts expected her to?
That was the point I was making in reference to the post I was replying to.
But what will stop doctors from prescribing the generics "off-label"?
This is like waiting for the results of any of the AdCom votes.
Awesome! Thank you! I anticipate a halt in the stock as soon as Amarin finds out and can halt the stock until they are able to get a press release out to the public. In the meantime, I hope my boss doesn’t notice me checking my phone often, LOL.
Are you at least able to glance at it and post “Yay” or “Nay” before posting all the details for us to read? I’m at work anyway and wouldn’t have time to read the details until I get home this evening.
Yes on a loss... I say closer to $17 on a win (at least right away... then steadily up from there).
I’m not talking about any drug. The rate has changed simply due to the availability of more tests and a lot more people are being tested, not just those in the worst conditions.
As of last week, according to the WHO, the worldwide death rate for influenza (considering people diagnosed with it who either died or had fully recovered) was 0.02%. For Covid-19, it was 4.2%, and that was down from 9.1% a couple weeks earlier.
Yes, but it is the perspective of those not taking Covid-19 seriously enough, which is why is has spread so much here when we knee what was happening in other parts of the world.
Then why are you comparing it to the flu then?
That is my point... everyone that is comparing this to the flu is comparing apples and oranges. Globally, this is FAR, FAR more deadly than the flu and MUST be taken seriously. Those that say, “well, the flu kills more people every year” aren’t seeing the forest through the trees.
Please tell us the DEATH RATE of those who contract the flu versus those that fully recover, and then tell us the DEATH RATE of those who contract Covid-19 versus those that fully recover... I'll wait...
Ouch! Thankful it wasn't any worse and hoping for a full and speedy recovery!
Saw one on NBC Nighty News tonight too!
I got that too. Where in Florida do you live? I libe in Leesburg and work for The Villages.
The longer this takes, the more nervous I am getting... don’t tell me Judge Du is going to hold us at the edge of our seats until tomorrow, as isn’t that the official date for the decision?
I think a favorable ruling moves us 10-20% on the positive side (and slowly drift up from there until next catalyst). An unfavorable ruling sends us down 30-50% right away and then slowly recover from there as scripts grow still and it takes the generics time to get moving.
Can we get to a decision already??? The anticipation is killing me... I have a weekend of being cooper up in the house or outside in the 90+ degree temps doing lawn work to look forward to. LOL
It hit us a lot later than other places... let’s see where we are on the death list in 3 weeks before saying “we must be doing something right”.
Once the company knows, they can halt the stock until it becomes public, whether through their own press release or through PACER.
It is a material event and not everyone would have access to the information right away, IMHO.
Exactly... which if you look back to my post yesterday I actually asked if the decision had been rendered and there would soon be a halt until Amarin put together a press release... but nothing materialized on that matter, and nobody could really explain the sudden jump in share price that fairly well maintained the rest of the day (it happened around 2:45 pm eastern).
And it was up yesterday, with the market. But I had posted a question if a decision had been rendered or something leaked based on the 35-cent jump in 1 minute and about 75-cent jump within 5 minutes. It was seeming information that maybe someone else knew.
Due to the lack of PPE available to healthcare workers, I am following the directions of NOT purchasing such and simply maintaining social distancing as best as possible... especially since it is still “business as usual” ehere I work (for an essential company doing IT for a large area).
Hmmm... yesterday, there was a sudden jump in stick price in the matter of 1 minute that stuck... today, the futures are down dramatically, and we are now down in pre-market action like most everything. There is also the fact that the trial decision has been expected any minute now all week. Thank you for showing your otherworldly intelligence (or lack thereof?) to the entire board. Have you covered your short position yet?
Then answer this question:
If Trump, using his words here, "knew it was a pandemic long before they were calling it a pandemic", then why did he not start responding then and get out ahead of the curve, rather than being so far behind it?
So yes, then it is just in reference to those hospitalized with Covid-19, NOT hospitalized in general which had been implied by the original post I was replying to. So I suggested that maybe it was just those with Covid-19 that the percentage was referencing. Thank you for confirming my clarification.
