Awesome green movement today, something up?
My question is will the EOS printer be listed? Maybe we'll finally know how it was "acquired". I'm also looking forward to how much $ has come from the Honeywell agreement. Maybe the purchase of a Printrite module or 2?
Knowing this company we'll probably see something from left field like Materialise consulting money
And who knows, maybe a PR tomorrow or Thursday?! We're overdue!
LEAP production pressure is building. They need these parts working perfectly from the beginning. Wonder how they're going to make sure they're produced with quality standards being met?
"The first Leap-1C engine has in the meantime been transported to Victorville where it will be attached to the first of GE’s two 747 flying testbeds with the aim of starting flight tests in early September. The first -1A, which is due to arrive in California about a month later, will be installed on GE’s more recently acquired 747-400 testbed. The two engines will then be tested side-by-side for several months from the fourth quarter onward, marking the first time GE’s flight-test unit has undertaken such an intensive evaluation period."
"We are in the final stages of build of the next –1B engine, which goes to test in the September-October period."

Bought a few more today...keep telling myself I'm done, but I just have this feeling BIG news soon.
I don't give them any credibility, but lots of other people do! That's the point.
Yes, and I believe they have about $700mill in assets to acquire more companies? IMO that is undervalued for SGLB's patents and potential. Never know though?!
Latest Projections: Stratasys (SSYS) Executive Team To Travel To Santa Fe As Sigma Labs (SGLB) Advances Additive Manufacturing With Avant-Garde German 3D Metal Printer Predicts Sierra World Equity Review. Look for SGLB to be on the short sheet of innovative small 3D company buyouts by SSYS forecasts Sierra.
I know Sierra is kind of a crack, but ANY Sigma publicity is good to me!

Awesome to hear! These "bargain" prices aren't going to last much longer...I'm locked and loaded and ready for this little gem to GO!
Deform testing related?

Welcome back. You won't get any shares from me!
Positive news is coming...
Nice Sigma name find!
BIG things are happening and we're going to see more of these articles naming Sigma here soon.
GLTA!
"Major aerospace parts manufacturer"
Any guesses?

Thank you!
(This why I love this board, so many willing and knowledgable members ready to discuss new information that may or may not effect SGLB)
Thank you, that's where I had seen Plasmo mentioned before. Sure wish JJ was still around!
And Honeywell.
From my limited 5 minutes of research it looks as though Plasmo's program just monitors, again unlike Printrite3d's goal, it doesn't adjust "on the fly" so to speak. Again just a quick background look.
Why does it seem like Plasmo was mentioned on the board before?
Also, one more thing, see that awesome picture at the head of the article with two professional looking men shaking hands, sigma NEEDS an article like that, Mr. cola or Mr. Dave shaking either Mr Morris or another GE or Honeywell big wig. It's just a 2 second photo-op guys but I think it makes a huge difference when an article/PR is released. Just my 2 cents...
Is this competition at all?
EOS, market leader for integrated e-Manufacturing solutions for Additive Manufacturing has joined with plasmo Industrietechnik to develop a high-performance online monitoring solution for additive manufacturing.
With Melt Pool Monitoring concept, the two companies aim to develop the online process for monitoring Direct Metal Laser Sintering to minimise risks and reduce costs to customers.
With headquarters in Vienna, plasmo has been supplying automated quality assurance systems to the manufacturing industry since 2003 through tailor made systems that cater to customer specific applications.
Dr. Tobias Abeln, Technical Director at EOS, said: “We have been working successfully with plasmo for some time now. With their know-how they are accompanying us as an expert partner in a field of manufacturing and process monitoring on our road towards additive series manufacturing.”
plasmo uses a monitoring system called fastprocessobserver in association with dominant algorithms which are specifically designed to target the dynamics in additive manufacturing.
Technical Director at plasmo, Dr. Thomas Grunberger, said: “Process know-how from EOS coupled with our expertise in the field of optical quality control systems results in solutions that fulfil requirements in additive manufacturing perfectly.”
plasmo has a wide portfolio of customers across a number of industries including Tokyo Steel, Audi, Suzuki, Volvo and Volkswagen and EOS hopes to combine their expertise with plasmo’s experience.
Abeln added: “The key to successful process monitoring is the intelligence of the system. Many are able to record data. Understanding the data correctly and evaluating it appropriately brings the decisive added value. Our goal is to set new benchmarks in this field and we are very pleased to have found the optimum partner for this is plasmo.”

1 week to Q2. Predictions of what we'll see or hope to see?
My hope is the agreement with Honeywell has led to purchase/contract money with Deform, but just IMO.
News brewing? Maybe Cramer discussing Stratasys?

I know Cramer is a nutball but anytime he mentions a stock or sector it's always good for publicity:

Materialise is already with Amazon. Not directly tied to Sigma but nice to see more big companies involved in 3D printing.
Retail giants Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) and Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT) could give 3D printing a much needed boost in the nascent consumer market. Both retailers have pilot programs in place involving 3D printed objects.

Ditto.
Awesome. Thank you!
Doing a little DD and remembered this post regarding uplisting. Where was It stated they were aiming for uplist 18 months from January '14? Was it an article or the online conference? Didn't it have to do with the Rockville asset private placement? Just trying to find the original source for it.
Lots of new members on the board lately so thought this would be beneficial for anyone new to additive manufacturing (3d printing) and/or nice refreshers for members who have been here awhile. Enjoy!

Excellent post. I too think we watch GE because it seems to be in the spotlight everyday, but odds are the first announcement of printrite software sale could be anybody. Glta and long and strong!
I'm still new with the bid and ask, why is the bid $11.38 and the ask $12.90. Why the wide spread?
"GE had to pioneer the development of new forms of non-destructive testing and inspection to ensure the safety and reliability of their 3D printed parts."

Nice find! I'm not expecting anything to change until we see some contract/sales money in Q2 filing. Not sure what to expect, but hoping for some clarity as to what is bringing in profit.
Glta!

Amazon launches 3d printed store teamed up with Materialise.
Anything specific to look forward to?
Agreed. It's like the whole market is asleep. I don't think much will happen till next week. :-/
P.S have we uplisted yet?
This is the longest dry spell between announcements from them in awhile. Hoping they're super busy and waiting to drop the big "one". I.e pre-orders or orders of Printrite software with $$$$ attached.
Glta!
Found this article this morning to maybe shed some more insight into "build times",
Hi Sarah,
Thank you for joining the call-in last week on the topic of 3D Printing at GE. You asked a question regarding the build time for one fuel nozzle. Unfortunately, this is not information we provide, but I will generally tell you that we are talking about hours, not minutes. Still, the time to build is less than the time to construct a similar part by traditional methods. So, although it still takes a long time to make our fuel nozzles, it is still economically beneficial to use this technology over conventional means. I would also suggest that the technology is changing and maturing quickly, so future machines may eventually get into the ‘minutes’ range, but that will probably be a little ways off.
Thank you for your interest!
Best Regards,
-Greg
That's great! I got an email Friday about Q&A and they said they'd be answering them today but didn't say how, so good to know it's through personal email.
Looking forward to all the answers!
Got an email back from GE regarding the Q&A session of the webinar. He said they will try and have our questions answered Monday. Not sure if they'll be emailing us individually or altogether.
Just FYI.
Have a great weekend everybody!
Glad your here Mduffy, I can do DD but you have the software/engineering knowledge to help clarify what everything means. That's why I love this board because everyone contributes in some way, even Herring.
