Yep... I with you 100%!
Thx. I thought it was next week, lol.
Thx... HODL is all we need to do.
When is earnings call?
Exactly!!!!
Is that why Swiss National Bank (13f just released yesterday [along with a number of other high-dollar tutes]) increased their investment into AMC by 138%-- with an avg price per share of $47!? Have you seen The institutions who invested or increased their investment in AMC? Out of 547 institutions invested in AMC, 471 (86%!!!)are longs. Obviously, they disagree with you. Link
Also do you realize that many of the high-revenue generating movies were released in Q4, not even included in this report. My bet is AMC will be profitable by end of year.
It appears the FED is blaming "Meme stocks" and "new investors who share tips on social media" for potential financial instability. No mention of the over-leverage, naked shorting and dark-pool manipulation.
https://www.barrons.com/articles/fed-meme-stocks-financial-stability-51636420320
It all relative, my friend. Do you know how much they lost last year, last quarter vs this quarter? The will be profitable by end of Q4. AMC is back baby.
Did anyone read the Barron's article, "Fed Says Meme Stocks Pose Risks to Financial Stability"? It looks like the FED is blaming Apes but not mentioning the over-leveraging/naked-shorting!!!
No more AMC shares available at Fidelity/IEX!
I did. What's the problem?
I would think it would depend on the cost of AMC popcorn. IF AMC charged Movie prices for their supermarket popcorn, some Apes may buy it. Other would take the money and buy the stock, imho.
I don't want to argue about AMC's popcorn business. It's cool that they are trying to think of ways to increase revenues/profit as well as improving branding. I just don't think this will do anything worthwhile in the next days, week, months or years.
I don't want to beat a dead horse or imply that the popcorn business is bad. It is a nothing burger-- it doesn't add much to AMC and doesn't take away anything either. It's a "meh" issue.
I hope AMC is focusing on trying to find a legal way to uncover and publicize the number of short shares vs legitimate shares.
To add a link, cut the URL (i.e. http//xxxx.com/whatever) from the web page and past it into your post.
I understand that grocery store margins are 1 - 3 percent on average for all products. Some products could have smaller margins and some larger. Nothing has 85% margins though. I cannot find specific margins for supermarket popcorn. I'm saying I do not believe popcorn sold at the grocery store has an 85% profit margin, period.
Look at Costco's example below. Are you implying that Kirklan, who is selling 44 3.3oz personal servings of microwavable popcorn for $13, is making $11.05 profit from each box it sells?
I hope you are right. Given all of the hype regarding earnings being thrown around, I am afraid many new apes will give up and walk away if earnings are not spectacular and the pps falls to the 20s.
IMHO, we really should hope for the best but refrain from hyping (my word) anything as a catalyst for the squeeze.
Here's a similar video for you DTCSUX. I am quite sure you will like it.
I wonder how well that would have worked with small pox back in the day.
Easy...the "real" price is 41.70.
LMAO!! Newbie you said it would $30, right?
No the popcorn market does NOT have an 85% profit margins built in. The only place AMC can make 85% (I think it is way more actually) profit margin on popcorn is in it's theatres and they are already doing it! You simple cannot make 85% profit margins in supermarkets or malls. The average profit margin for supermarkets products is 1 - 3% (link).
Do you think kirkland makes 85% profit margins on this:
IMHO, the 85% profit margins is obtained in movie theatres only and AMC is already selling it in their theatres. I don't think AMC can increase the price of AMC popcorn in the malls (that were going bankrupt even before the pandemic) or in supermarkets to get 85% profits, where its numerous competitors will be priced significantly lower. Nothing sold in the supermarkets have a 85% profit margin.
By the way I am not saying this is a bad business. I'm saying it will NOT affect the bottom line and therefore will not change the "fundamentals" narrative or serve as a catalyst to the squeeze in any way. It isn't a genius idea. But it is a way for AMC to stay in the news and foster a "we're getting at it" attitude.
Sometime I am critical of management...but I never forget that I do not have access to the info NWBO has and my critique comes out of impatience and disappoint and with the understanding that I don't know a damn thing about what LP/NWBO is doing (which is why, instead of running a biotech, I post on bulletin boards, LMAO).
Very well stated biosect.
Me thinks this is not even worthy of mentioning but maybe I am wrong. If anyone thinks selling popcorn at home or in the malls are going to change or enhance AMC's narrative or serve as a squeeze catalysts are fooling themselves.
Does anyone think AMC will be able to sell popcorn in the malls (which were closing in record numbers across the country even before the pandemic) or in supermarkets at the prices in the movie theatres? I don't, other than to us die-hard apes.
Just saying...
I wonder if the UK will be the first to approve DCVax-L.
Oh, pleeeeease.......
T!? Do you have a link that T1 has been implemented? I thought it was in 90 days or so for some reason.
Very plausible explanation:
I agree.
I'll take it!
What is the time factor regarding pulling the trigger to exercising the options. Is it significant? Just curious.
Wouldn't 100% require absolute foreknowledge?
Merck better buyout NWBO or they will certainly make less after DCVax-L approval (not even mentioning Direct...which is DCVax-L without the brakes)
Hear! Hear! I think LP/NWBO knows this... which is why they haven't increase the shares yet or raised additional funds via stock offering.
Great video. Every ape should watch it!
Great video. Every ape should watch it!
MartyDg,
I get it. I felt, back in 2017/18, as you do now. But you have to know, now is not the time to throw in the towel. The trial ended. Data analyzed. Manufacturing ready to go. Flaskwork automation probably ready to get implemented. We have more evidence/support of DCVax's efficacy then we ever had!
This is the darkness just before dawn, meaning that things always seem the worst just before they improve. Get mad. Feel frustrated and irritated...but don't let these fudsters steal what is yours! We saw through all the bs for all of these years, hold on partner. It would be a shame to sell out your entire position and then days/weeks later learn that you sold what could have been a financial legacy for your future generations!
Just saying.....GLTU!
Thx... just wanted to be sure...I'm planning to buy more some shares soon..
Exactly.
Why the "no hope for TLD"? Did I miss something?
People believe in NWBO. They've looked at the trial data and and the 60+ oncology experts who signed off on the findings. They recognized the data got even better one year later. They considered the development of DCVax manufacturing as well as the purchase of Flaskworks that would lead to manufacturing automation. They looked at Dr. LL's statements and many others and have concluded that DCVAX is real and will likely be successful. I concur. Many of us have been here for close to a decade 7,8 + years, DCVax hasn't sanked yet and are still in the green at the moment.
But thanks for the enlightenment...lol.
Wow! WTF is going on. I was nervous about selling 30% of my holding a while ago. I may need to get back in.
Haven't been following lately, but have little doubt buyers are dragging it down to get in. Or, perhaps this is the last attempt to steal retail shares before tld/approval.
The only questions for retail is how low is it likely to go and how can we take advantage of it.
