Higher lows and Higher highs, except the Colorado kind…. :D)
Almost forgot; The IRS taxes you for taking all the risks, as they still get their "cream off the top." Their cut.....regardless of the risks you take. I realize ROTH accounts help, but it has it's limitations, the IRS doesn't want to miss out on their cut, that's why they limit you on the amount you can set aside.
Did I mention Required Minimum Distributions (RMD's)? The IRS wants it's piece of flesh. You can't die and leave your children an inheritance. Of course your estate is taxed as well?
Hmmm? So, when I volunteer and give my services to my community and use my God given knowledge and training for the good of my community, I should send them a bill?
Problems I have with the IRS? They were established in 1862 to pay for war expenses. They've now morphed into an "All Powerful" Agency who can take your house and property without remorse. They can garnish your wages regardless of your predicament. They crush small businesses who have a hard time making payrolls. They still want that payroll tax and whatever kind of taxes they can bilk an employer out of. They still tax the crap out of you when you live abroad. You have to essentially secede from being a US Citizen in order to escape their clutches. "They tax you for dying." They're like a pariah that never goes away. You know the old saying; "Nothing is ever constant except "Death and Taxes." If you think your free, think again. All we can ever hope for is to leave this earth debt free and not be a burden to those we leave behind. The IRS is always there waiting and watching.
If you want to get in contact with the IRS forget about it, they don't respond to phone calls or emails. You can't really setup any kinds of appointments, believe me I've tried. The common man has no chance in resolving issues with them. Their word is law. They don't want to hear about your problems. All they want is their piece of flesh.
Do you now understand my gripe with the IRS?
I mentioned Banks as well who are #3 on my list. These scumbags make Danny DeVito (Matilda), look like a cub scout. They entice people into getting Cash back credit cards. They love putting people in debt and keeping it that way. Credit scores, mortgage insurance, really? Credit card interest rates 20% plus? What's not to like about money lenders? They make Ebenezer Scrooge look like a philanthropist. They're almost like drug dealers, except they push money.
Agreed; IMHO we are seeing accumulation occurring, just pull up the Historical on AMRN. At least Yahoo is good for something; Their definitely not good for much else. They're the new Twitter for anti-Freedom of Speech.

I thought kiwi would leave once the Baker Brothers sold?
Speaking of insurance companies, they are in my “Top 3 of my most hated organizations.”
In order:
#1 - the IRS
#2 - Insurance companies
#3 - Banks (money lenders, credit cards, mortgage holders ect.)
Did you know? My insurance company raised my rates by 25% this month for a combination of things. My mortgage lender automatically increased my house replacement cost from $278k to $351k, this increased my insurance premium by ($23 per month). The second thing, I just turned 71 years, my insurance company increased my premium ($63 per month) because I’m now an unsafe driver according to their actuarial tables. Then of course they tout the “inflation” factor which allows them to adjust their rates anyway they want. A win-win for them. I do understand the increases, but to the tune of 25%? I’ve also learned the “birthday” thing is not consistent, most insurers charge the “teenage driver” rates when folks turn 75. I’m shopping around for a better deal. My Social Security didn’t increase by 25%, come on Joe, throw us a bone.
1.28 AH.... Nasdaq was up a whole 1.08 points today. Keep em rockin Super Joe
Are you English? Brits use the "Bloody" term a lot, given the inference it has a wide spread connotation. Cheese factory? You mean have a little Whine with your cheese? Understand your point.....
World Cup soccer paraphernalia? Tax from offshore oil wells in Guyana? Reruns of Pepe' Le Pew cartoons? Jean-Claude Van Damme (actually Belgium) promised to give a portion of each new movie he makes to benefitting the French medical System. Did you know that the Wokesters want to ban Pepe' Le Pew cartoons?
Yes, I hate to admit since I’m of German descent. The French are smarter in several ways. They’re research and technology serves them well. They designed the Concord SST, they designed the first Maglev Bullet train. they produce 70+% of their electricity from Nuclear, they make very good wine, better than Kalifornia even.
Obviously their medical committees are superior to the rest of Europe.
Hmmm, I stopped getting my Vascepa from my local Walgreens because they stopped stocking it. Last script I paid was $56 for 90 days. I apparently can't use the $9 coupon with Medicare.
thanks duke,
Forgot.... Dear Santa... :D)
duke; please define your acronyms, what is DS? Google says, dear son? daylight savings? darling sister? disease state (good one rose)? dimethyl sulfoxide? I have an idea the other acronyms you used in your post, just not DS.
Thanks,
Nuke
shadolane; I definitely will keep the board informed of any response received. I also just now sent the same email to Dr. Carlsson, I should have Cc'd her before.
thanks Raf for posting scripts. decent scripts, at least the downward trajectory has stopped.
Man, what to do with Lovaza? This is nuts....!!!
ramfan; The Cardinals are a "cursed team", oh the days of Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald. Those days are gone.
Problems as I see it are; Murray is too short to see over the heads of the defensive linemen. He's fast but not fast enough. Fran Tarkenton was also short, similar in some ways. I'd like to see a better Offensive Line, a line that will protect the Quarterback. Like Brady's Offensive Line.
I'm not a stats guy, but quarterback ratings are a good indicator of overall team efficiency. If a quarterback has time and protection then a team usually does good offensively. That's my two cents. Defenses are important too, but a good Offense creates a good defensive momo.
Yes, the University of Wisconsin. Here's what I wrote to them.
Hello,
I'm writing to you because I saw your article on the BRAVE Clinical Study on Alzheimer's.
The study refers to the use of "Fish Oil" which is not a correct statement.
The study is utilizing a Purified EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) which is derived from not only Fish oil but other Omega 3 oils (like algae, plants ect.).
Actually the use of the term "Fish Oil' gives your article a negative connotation. As most Fish Oils sold today are a mixture of Omega 3 fatty Acids. Whereas the form used in your study is a Purified (96%) form of EPA. Fish Oils sold over the counter are just not the same as Vascepa. Please update your article so the world will be aware of this important aspect of your study.
Downtown; I found a contact page. I'm going to send them an email about they're reference to "Fish Oil." At least then they'll get it right or correct it and resubmit the article.

Monk; Thank you for your service.
I never enlisted, I was sent my draft card in High School (18 years old), 1969, it was Vietnam, I was scared. I remember the flag draped coffins they would show on TV. The Student riots, probably did more to scare me than anything. My draft number was 286. So, I got lucky, I guess? Shoulda, woulda, coulda.... To this day I regret not enlisting, but Kismet (fate) saw things differently. There were a lot of young men who didn't come back from that war and for what? A country that didn't want US there, the French had left, then we took up the cause of democracy. The rest is history. A turbulent sobering time for our nation. Yet we continue to push our democracy on countries that don't necessarily want it.
Downtown; agree with your thoughts, however this particular article doesn't quite do it for me. They make reference to "Fish oil" and not Purified EPA Vascepa as they should.

That's great to hear Monk, you sound like a good grandpa. :D)
You should talk, you never served a single day in the armed forces. I will take your money however, it's about $1600 for a round trip ticket. send it to eatshit@yahoo.com.
My dad would be tossing in his grave if he would see the shenanigans going on in Washington DC
Monk; Yes, I've watched his videos, pretty amazing stuff he makes. His wife is gorgeous, his kids are too. He sure slugs down that home made wine doesn't he? Did you see his car? It's got YouTube decals plastered on the sides. He's a real opportunist.
Another one to watch is WildernessCooking: The guy made Lamb testicles kabob. Yum!
You must have missed World History class. I'm going to stop this conversation before either of us gets into trouble with the board monitors. Have a nice quiet evening Kiwi.
My ex-wife is Russian (only one), so her family is Russian, living in the Ukraine for almost 60 years. They have a different perspective on who's doing what to whom? They're tough people mentally, have gone through a lot of hardships.
Yeah, like wanting to place missiles in the Ukraine. That's akin to putting North Korean Missiles in Texas. I won't go into the Foreign Relations fiascos the US has been involved in. My dad was a WWII veteran, my brother a Vietnam vet, my Oldest brother was a retired colonel in the Air Force.
But again this is the Amarin message board. My opinion is like well you....everyone has one.
And if I'm not pro USA? The Super Power that meddles in all world affairs?
Burmurk? I don't get it Libtard?
Ha ha, don't think I could get from Moscow to Berdyansk by any means except by car. Besides, I'd never make it past the border. American Passport, they would think I was friends with "Super Joe" Yes, Mariupol the center of the fighting. This is the city where the AZOV Regiment was holed up in a Steel Plant. I've taken a Train from Mariupol back in the 90's. I rode a bus once to Melitopol through Zaporizhzhia to Kiev. So it was Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Always an eye opener.
These people are having a hard time feeding themselves and staying warm let alone to be able to buy Vazkepa. Lots of cigarette smokers and alcohol drinkers, poster children for what not to put in your body. I'll say one thing these people in Eastern Europe walk a lot more than Americans do. I didn't see any drive throughs.
Ex-wife really wants to go to Ukraine to be with her mom and brother. Not possible now. We went in October 2021. Do you know it's 37 Degrees F in Berdyansk, Ukraine @ 7 AM? It was 21 degrees F here in Camp Verde, AZ @ 7 AM this morning. Unreal.
Heard Super Joe is in South Africa, something to do with coal reserves?
That's really unfortunate. Can you give us some insights on how they did it? I had a friend who got his bank account drained, he thought it may have happened at a gas pump. There may have been some type of reader that was placed on the stations reader. It's called "Skimming."
https://www.bankrate.com/finance/credit-cards/how-to-protect-your-wallet-from-gas-station-scams/#:~:text=The%20most%20common%20scam%20is,used%20to%20make%20fraudulent%20charges.
I’m sure as heck not traveling to Europe anytime soon. What if? I had a heart attack? What if? I needed a labotomy? But, I’d rather have a bottle in front of me…. :D)
Medicare would say….we don’t know any nukemtiltheyglow? Plus, even if I was admitted to the hospital, it would be like trying to find help in Home Depot or Walmart?
That’s insurance just in case the “Russian Hordes” were invade? Funny thing is, you can’t eat a plane?
The problem with this board is you folks way “overthink” this dilemma. The what if scenarios….blah, blah, blah. It’s the economy, no wait it’s Nissan, no wait maybe it’s the insurance companies, no wait it’s the FDAs fault….? Really?
During hard times (caused by ineptitude), human behavior goes into survival mode. Guess what? When folks can’t afford to put food on the table or stay warm they’re surely not going to spend it on their health. It’s the Popcorn and spaghetti mentality.
Don’t tell that to Novartis, after their purchase of Medco for $10B. Heck, who’d want to pay $7k a year for two (2) shots of Inclisiran?
Thanks North, So, the IDMC oversees Clinical trials. However, it's not a one stop shop from what I'm reading? Although Clinical Trials are vital to the industry. Is the IDMC a truly highly recognizable Peer Organization in the Pharmaceutical World. Or is it a minor blip on the radar? Is it staffed with Professionals who are respected in the Industry? Does it provide a roadmap for all drug producers to follow? The words "Standards of Excellence." come to mind?
I'm afraid the Generics wouldn't stand up in the real world of High Standards? Whereas Vascepa has withstood so much headwinds, it's unbelievable what this drug has been through. It's like there's been a concerted effort to destroy this little company from the beginning? management is another issue.....
Creates honesty amongst thieves. It surely wouldn't allow people like Nissen to exist, here's why.... In our Usta plant INPO would evaluate and rate each power plant. After their evaluation they would provide a rating to the plant management. This rating was valuable in that it provided our insurers (yes, Nuclear Plants have insurance...!!!) the basis for setting our Premiums if you can get the gist of that? Sound familiar?
A Peer evaluation of Nissen and his organization or who funds his studies would "hopefully' provide a no-nonsense approach to drugs. Now, the question remains, where do we find an honest man or woman? In the end it's all about money. There-in lies the mantra that should be upheld...The #1 Priority is the Health and Safety of the Public. Who oversees that?
Not for a shell company?
ORBAPU; Understand the dilemma. Aerospace Industry shouldn't be any different than the Nuclear Industry. The number one Priority is to Preserve and Protect the Safety of the Public. Looks like Boeing lost sight of that. Three Mile Island, Chernobyl was another Fubar. We call it the Swiss Cheese effect. Even with barriers in place Murphy rears his ugly head.
You mean the software problems with Boeings 737? https://www.fierceelectronics.com/electronics/killer-software-4-lessons-from-deadly-737-max-crashes#:~:text=Instead%20of%20increasing%20the%20length,raise%20its%20nose%2C%20Travis%20noted.
So, the FAA had oversight and made recommendations on Boeings Software? Or chose to rely on Boeings Expertise with the software? They apparently bought off on the idea because the FAA had no experts who could analyze the software? If Boeing made it, it must be okay? Who Peer reviewed it?
Who Peer reviews the Opioids? Is the FDA smart enough to provide guidance on opioid use and the dangers there of? I haven't seen any evidence that they even regulate dangerous drugs. I guess educate me about Peer reviews and shoulda, woulda, coulda....
