MXC I came home from an appointment to find all my orders executed and I no longer own any. Doesn't look like any specific news?
Would that affect brokerage logins as well? The sites are coming back up, but I can't get logged into any brokerages. Scary feeling
Website Outages This Morning? Curious if anyone else experienced something similar to this. Nearly all major websites were down for me from 9am eastern time until about 1230p eastern time. Couldn't log into a single financial account. Google and youtube worked and that's about it. Amazon, ebay, craigslist, and every financial site down.
Kik, just one final question re Quodd. Is it somewhat normal to get a company's news on Quodd before it hits the major wires, or is this instance with SRTS more of a one-time fluke?
SRTS Yeah, my question wasn't really about this particular news release or even this particular company. It was more just the idea of where can I get a news streamer that releases the news on companies before the major wires do. That's a huge advantage.
I'm guessing this particular instance was a mistake by one of the smaller news wires who was supposed to not release it till after market hours.
SRTS Interesting that the press release is now hitting the major wires after market hours. I wonder if this was one of those instances where the company issued the PR and then told the news wires that it wasn't supposed to be published until after market hours -- and somebody mistakenly released it early.
By the after hours reaction, sure looks like many people are just seeing the PR for the first time and didn't see it during regular hours.
It's interesting. I'd scribbled it down before on a piece of paper watchlist, but didn't enter it into my broker watchlist, so something about it had intrigued me before. Just wondering how repeatable the earnings are vs one-time stuff. We'll see what they have to say on the call.
Thanks again.
Thank you, Sir. I appreciate it. I'd never heard of that.
But with your broker, or what site? I'm serious, not being sarcastic. It doesn't show up on my broker news, doesn't show on otcmarkets, doesn't show on marketwatch, or yahoo finance, Ihub news doesn't show it either, etc.
I'm not doubting that it exists, it obviously does. I'm asking which news streamer or site posted it, because yours are better than mine
SRTS KiK, may I ask where did you happen to find this news release? I'm not seeing it on my news streams
ISSC Nice quarter. Unfortunately the old CEO, who had a great sense of humor, passed away and didn't get to see the nice quarter:

AFACW expiry date. Etrade shows it as 11/10/26
LMB I've noticed the nice price action as well, but have no idea why it's moving nor have I seen any news
Still not bad, congrats! Onto the next strategy that can make nearly 5% in two days. :)
Pretty good percentage gain for one day!
I'd guess that selling in the first few days to maybe a couple of weeks give you the best idea of just the recovery bounce from tax loss selling. Beyond that, I'd guess it's pretty much just up and down with the market.
Best of luck however you decide to approach it! Thank for putting it on display.
Sounds good to me!
APVTW - Darn, was fun while it lasted :)
Typo? You typed FIFI, but did you mean FIGI?
I had just the opposite happen once. When I was much younger, I logged into my Ameritrade acct, which should have had about $20,000 in it, and instead it showed a balance of like -$532,000.
I nearly had a heart attack. I was worried I'd have to file bankruptcy if this didn't get corrected. Called immediately and they were super non-chalant about it. "Oh yeah, it looks like somebody shorted a fair amount of stock and it mistakenly got attributed to your account. We should get it fixed in a day or two. It's not a big deal."
I was furious and couldn't even imagine such a thing was possible. What if I had been on vacation and didn't check my account for 3-4 weeks? Would it have EVER gotten corrected, or would they have just said, "any errors need to be reported to us within two weeks, so there's nothing we can do now." Or some such nonsense.
Haha, time to return the Lambo
APVTW -- a 100-lot sale today sure made the value of this look better on my screen :)
BGFV Don't currently own the stock, but I grew up in California and always liked their stores. Have gone there for decades. Good selection, great sales. I used to look forward to their sales ad in the newspaper. So my opinion of the stores is just the opposite
BGFV Already went ex-d on 11/30:

APVTW Sure seems like somebody's got APVO on a yo-yo string. Back down to around $14 after hours
Yeah, the low floaters sure can move crazily both ways
APVO Should have kept my mouth shut. It's down about 30% since I posted lol
$APVO up nicely in premarket on some good results. Hopefully it carries over into market hours
APVTW - Mgt certainly doesn't look good for turning down a $50 share buyout just a year ago
APVTW Yeah, just noticed that as well. APVO has just collapsed over the last week. Don't know why, but somebody wants out
Ihub Posting Feature
Saw this on another board and was not aware of it. Not even sure if it's helpful or annoying.
If you put the dollar sign before the ticker symbol in a post, Ihub automatically highlights it in yellow, and then the reader can hover over the yellow highlighted area and it brings up a quick chart of that ticker as well as a few quick links. Give it a try by hovering over $MSFT
I just typed the dollar sign, Ihub did the rest.

And NOW, they finally post a reasonable quarter. Still can't figure out what happened to this one, but keeping an eye on it
APVTW - Seller taking the day off thus far. No volume after several busy days
OT: A little end of the day fun. 10 minutes well spent:
APVTW ($.10) - Price either keeps getting better or keeps getting worse, depending on how one looks at it. Sure looks like a large holder has a deadline by which he must be out.
PATI Did you see the company put out a press release using the term "ex-dividend date?" If so, could you post a link?
All I see is them mentioning the record date was yesterday.
