Haha. Sweaty shorts I agree with your pricing thoughts. And i can't wait for the science updates on deck.
Tracking this company is anything but boring.
Glta
you know that show Shark Tank- come on admit it, you've watched a couple to see if the entrepreneurs get deals. The sharks always low ball offers and pressure the guests to deal down and give them more stake for the $
There was one episode I remember where this guy presented his detachable acoustic guitar to the Sharks..seeking additional funding etc... It was a great idea for the travelling musician and apparently a quality instrument.
Anyway the sharks were interested in the idea, but offered a bad deal so he walked away. Everyone was shocked saying he missed out on a great opportunity to grow his instrument with Shark contacts and $
He ended up getting a insanely better deal after the show aired from another venture capitalist who saw the show.
this reminds me of our current situation. We got an offer, we did not take it. Mgmt sees stronger value in what is offered on the table for sale But what we really got was huge global exposure that Ariad is up for grabs at a certain premium
just food for thought
Agreed!
Good work BR. You made a great move. I'm still holding my shares. Glta
As frustrating as this is Gotta hand it to the team for not selling outta desperation. Unlock that real value. I look forward to brig and nM updates.
Amen to that. How bout that buy spilt this afternoon. Niiice
Fitz still has 200k+ shares. Gee I thought I was the only one! :)
Hahaha. Wow. Now that's a solid holding
Doesn't last long in the high $8's. That's for sure folks
I thought if you when that happened. Good call! We shall call you the Oracle of the taconic!
Good luck to all
Some of you guys go way back. Remembering the posters of Ariad's yesteryear. For me it began with grandma blabbering on and on about dancing at the gates of hell etc... Pretty hilarious zany poster
I bet they are already in the ring
Yes. I've always appreciated SS's input. Enjoy the weekend folks
Per Meg tirrell. ARIAD reject baxalta first offer. Was on cnbc
Great action. Let's get the deal done here. Glta
Per Adam F per Bloomsburg. Baxalta looking at a hematology oncology $2b acquisition of some sort . Looking into more info
Any truth to the baxalta buyout rumor? So far it's pretty weak. A daily mail post
If u find today a bore then something is wrong with u. Glta
Good add. Again doesn't take long for things to rebound. The panic plunge gives it away. Good work
Vvus definitely going through a rough patch. But I'm not worried about denner's overall cash position. Look at his wins. Major $$ made.
Your fear the 6's comments look to be here. This stock is driving people to madness! Hold tight folks!
Vvus cfo just resigned too
Good work. Ebio also halting and breaking out
Yall missing ebio is running
Haha. So true.
correction Clackson is only 49! lol
what are your thoughts on Clackson? I have been impressed with his talents over the years. I think he is a real asset to the company, Harvey can leave any day but Tim Clackson I am hoping remains the skipper of the Science for years to come. He's not young however
As I mentioned on Stocktwits, I find this current activity very intriguing...considering the miss for the quarter and that we are currently green...the $ available to fund brig is cheap and a good deal according to Harv on the call, the details of Brig must be significant...perhaps the recent CT orders harbor some of its weight.
I got the feeling that the company has been approached several times about partnering for Brig and perhaps a overall buyout. the fact that they passed over those options is significant
I'm glad analysts asked targeted questions about the CEO search. however I didn't take anything away from Harvey's responses as being significant. His answers were relatively basic standard lip service....we continue to search, by years end....We leave partnership decisions pending until a new ceo can chime in....search is ongoing....yada yada yada.
I could have answered those questions.
Just saying IMO the CEO search issue doesn't shed any light on the axing of a buyout in the short term.
Well there are plenty of analysts on this call
That would be swell. It would be great to get brig updates in the near term as well as a killer sales quarter! I'm holding tight
Stifle the other
Citi I believe is one
I totally agree here. Stay strong now folks
Thank you. See a real example. I read today's PR and am very happy about killing the short term needs for financing brig/dilution threats etc. This is a great deal
Also I read the pr and have no worries about this eliminating any buyout talk.
Folks. Anything is possible. SS's IDIX case demonstrates this
All that our synthetic financier needs is a specific number in cash returned back - referred to as IRR. Once this is met the deal with ARIAD is successfully complete. Meaning giving ARIAD up to 200mil in cash then getting repaid to the terms is all that matters here
Once ARIAD is sold the cash generated will provide this. Who cares about this obligation at that point? No one cuz every one has what they want
We should be very excited. ARIAD has the resources now to get 113 on the radar, the confidence in pona revenue is strong or this would not have happened , AND a buyout IMO is certainly still very relevant
Logical. We shall see!
hahaha JP, have a great weekend. I'm long and strong here. I have a few thousand that I'm movin off the hot coals to the indirect over here! Just givin you props for supporting HB all this time. look at those numbers, that guy got the votes for sure. lol. dragged through the mud since '13...and a landslide
Is this a maneuver? Could we be seeing a tactical play? Time will tell I guess.
Is this company ripe for a buyout? Heck yeah! I agree, however, today's PR suggests many outcomes of Ariad staying the course for a bit
Have a great weekend to all!
I'm trying to digest the voting results. I'm pretty surprised to be honest. HB has the support for sure. wow. I offer my congratulations to someone I've been rather critical of this past few months-the one and only JessPro. I logically figured that HB was old news with Denner on the rise. That looked to be correct with the abrubt retirement of HB without any punch or wrassle The tutes ownership increased since...all ready for that BO. whats denner gonna do with HB still at the helm at the board meetings?
well I'm still long as I believe in the science. however, I do not think that golden ticket of a buyout is as imminent as I once preached.
Is a buyout possible? sure, heck yeah? anything is possible look at some of the recent M&A activity catching the shorts off guard.
I guess I'm a little confused!
Have a good weekend everyone!
PV
Thanks for attending. Bummer we can't listen in on a call. Looking forward to updates from attendees.
Glta
Wasn't this the same firm who said Ariad was fairly valued at current levels (then hovering between $5.9-6.8). After which the stock proceeded to run through $9?
Sorry. I do my own research. These guys aren't as in tune as they preach IMHO
