I am sure that I have saved the email, so can go back and quote Victoria's email to me, if necessary. To suffice, as I recall, I had expressed my interest in a PR in early April 2010, as I recall, that had mentioned the MRNJ patent application or maybe it was patents, don't recall for certain - you can go back and probably find it in a MRNJ PR around that time. Anyhow, Victoria got back to me via email that the company had a patent in patent pending status and was hopeful to keep it there as long as possible because as soon as approval was granted the patent information would be public and subject to being used by others - not her words but basically what I understood. I am always interested in patented technology and hope that we will get some good blog news or an updated PR on this before too much more time goes by, as it has been 8 months since I last heard about it. Being on the BOD of a company for about 15 years that has reaped its rewards by owning patents, I am always impressed by the moxey and insight that it takes to get a patent and that to me is usually a signal that the company management is not sloppy but rather smart and worth real consideration.
That looks very good, Stormking. Can you guess/infer what % of MRNJ apps in development are owned by MRNJ?
I guess that Icahn and the new capital investment group was fully aware of how the dominoes were going to fall down today. I would be very surprised if anyone putting down $22.5 million for a 30%+ stake would be left out of the plans. There was a contingency plan for NDA approval or disapproval and we have seen them unroll the more aggressive of the plans, that is my opinion. The investors were in line and informed and can't imagine that they object, so we have Icahn, investors with $22.5 million to pour in all complacent with a stock buyout of a smaller company. Its molecular technology, and as I understand patented, is worth something for some reason that the small fry are left to wonder about. Obviously, BIG investors in-the-know are on the program now, so I am staying with it.
Agreed, and the worm can turn again, too.
I liked Victoria, she was good to answer my emails. She seemed to think that MRNJ had the right approach to it patent pending status, and that has certainly NOT been discussed very much, either, by the way.
Seems that for some time the same investors, the founders, basically, were buying up the cheapies, which is okay, of course, but as discussed here some time ago, many investors left from April to December, while the faith-keepers kept adding, yet, it would be good to see those who left come back in. I suspect we are feeling the calm before the storm...stock has gone in the right direction for 3 weeks, totally related to the new blog, in my opinion.
Agreed...circular interest seems to be the mainstay, expand the scope...was good to see that MRNJ was mentioned on the Glenn Harold blog yesterday, yes, would be nice if E. Tolle would mention the stock or someone like him would comment on the quality of the apps that MRNJ is producing on their behalf, that might also help interest other celebs.
Good data...makes sense about the daily total falling short of the record day, but maybe we will get surprised?
As I recall, the R/S was announced right after major capital raising announcement, this is a pattern.
I think with continued trends, perhaps 10 cents near the end of the year, that is my guess.
Good suggestion, thanks!
Great insight, thanks!
I agree Stormking. As I recall the 2010 Q3 stated something about expenses expected to be less in the future, presumably Q4. Consequently, I think there may be some significant profit, I mean well beyond the less than $100 for Q3, so I whole-heartedly agree with you that formal press releases should be made as an investment in the promotion of the company, not just the shareholders interests. Yes, any very important news would be best advertised to the largest possible audience, can do the blog, of course, but spend the $$$ to do a formal PR,too - yes, yes! If Metatron is serious about becoming the #1 digital content provider then it needs to assure that it is the #1 GOOD NEWS DISTRIBUTOR,...Apple is certainly NOT shy about promoting itself, for example!!!!!
Great post!
Some days - it is just in the air - momentum just won't break the inertia, hard to understand, must be one of those mornings. A day or two, who knows, some obscure catalyst and everyone may buy at the same time. Sometimes it just works in a contra-intuitive way = zeitgeist.
"Conference Culley" has something to really talk about - should be a good advocate to generate more interest = more investors. Perhaps older investors, too, will return and scoop up shares now and drive prices up.
I want to buy more, too!
I think the timing of the company blog is not accidental, seems to have coincided with the resolution of property rights on the Michael Jackson app/s.
Impressive ramping up of production, and we must commend management for the foresight to recognize the value of library content it has acquired, savvy insight! Can't wait for the Michael Jackson apps to start rolling out.
3-4 Bonetti apps added today, that is great - didn't Stormking say the other day that the first one had very strong sales, if I recall?
Thanks for the post about today's blog, I will go check it out now.
My nephew tells me that everyone under 30 is saving $$$ now to buy an i-pad.
Also, if shareholders diligently try to keep the rapport going on this board then it will have an effect of diluting the effectiveness of the naysayers.
They did allude to making their own tablet device in the Dec. 30th letter to shareholders, so perhaps diversification is something that is consciously on the agenda for the future?
Perhaps making a few hundred dollars is not the only motive, maybe there is another goal involved, for example, perhaps they want to keep the price suppressed for some obscure reason and that is a longer term goal than the small $$$ involved in buying or selling a few hundred dollars worth of stock. Could it be a competitor, perhaps, because what is the value to anyone in keeping the value of the stock suppressed? It can only cause the company more difficulty in raising needed capital $$$ for growth, so perhaps it is being manipulated to preclude Metatron from opportunities for growth through capital raising? That strategy could allow other companies to better advantage themselves - by possibly delaying Metatron's ambitions - if they were more highly capitalized, especially. It is something to ponder. The making a few hundred dollars a day would not be a sustainable strategy, Metatron is NOT in a vacuum and NOT static, as we are clearly witnessing lately. A bigger fish might foresee an advantage to keeping Metatron in the doldrums - boxed-in, so to speak. Just a possible theory, of course. Who knows?
Stay focused on the positive.
Thanks JJ. That would bring revenue to over $1 million per year, logical it IS within reach by year's end, if production can keep up, and keep in mind, too, that Stormking qualified his analysis with the note that he had not taken into account the huge increases expected in i-pad ownership in 2011. I had read recently that Apple will introduce the new generation of i-pad this month and expects to make 7 million units per month before year's end. Three factors will drive this 1. Content 2. Fast production schedule 3. Population of user base. Anyone who reads the Dec. 30th note to shareholders can see that the management of Metatron has an aggressive business vision of the future and its role and goal to become #1 digital content distributor. They quoted, "content is king" so they very well understand the need to get out as much stuff as possible as fast as possible. Aristotle said, "if you reach for the stars you will not come up with a handful of mud." Think big, get big. Think small, stay that way.
Storm - what would the numbers yield if you use the upper estimates instead of the lower end? By the way, always look forward to your sharing of thoughts and ideas!
I agree about apprehensions regarding dilution, I can't imagine a stockholder who likes it - ever. So far, does not appear it is being implemented badly. Hopefully the remaining a/s will be used when stock price recovers to add computer programmers and, of course, it will be appreciated by all if/when that some explanation appears on the Metatron News Blog.
Wealth is mostly created in volume of sales, so in my opinion, the more apps they put out the better, fast as possible, too.
Is that something new?
Letter to shareholders on Metatron News Blog for Dec 30th, 2010.
