L & L Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: LLEN) ("L&L"), a U.S.-based company operating coal businesses in China, announces that it has confirmed with NASDAQ that its common stock will commence trading today, February 18, 2010, on the NASDAQ Global Market, under its current symbol, "LLEN."

Chairman of L&L, Dickson Lee, stated: "Our move to a senior exchange is a significant milestone for our company, and is the result of our continued strong growth and diligent efforts to vertically integrate our coal mining operations in China as well as the diligent efforts of our management team and other employees. A NASDAQ listing will increase market visibility and improve liquidity for our shareholders."

L & L expects to have a bell ringing ceremony at the NASDAQ center in New York City sometime in the near future.

Prior to the listing change to NASDAQ, L & L Energy, Inc. common shares were traded on the Over-the-Counter (OTC) Bulletin Board.

Lender CIT Group has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, a potential blow to the thousands of small and mid-sized businesses that rely on the company for loans to keep their operations afloat.

CIT made its filing in New York bankruptcy court Sunday, after a debt-exchange offer to bondholders failed. CIT says the majority of its bondholders have approved a prepackaged reorganization plan which will reduce total debt by $10 billion while allowing the company to continue to do business.

CIT's move will wipe out current holders of its common and preferred stock, likely meaning the U.S. government will lose the $2.3 billion it sunk into CIT last year to prop up the ailing company.

The Chapter 11 filing is one of the biggest in U.S. corporate history
