McCain is a gambling man. I'm sure he was one hell of a fighter pilot!
His bravado plays well on the battle field but will not play well in the White House.
Watch for McCain to start gambling some more as his numbers slip in the polls. He will take some huge risks here.
By the way, expectations are so low for Palin tonight, that I think she will do well in the debate.
No one really knows the value of WAMUQ at this time. Maybe JP Morgan has a good idea. Maybe it will reorganize and recover from the chapter 11, maybe its creditors will file suite in the Chapter 11 to recover assets. Will you be sticking around till then?
We are all speculating and gambling. Let's call it what it is.
Please convert from Pesos to dollars.
Smart move on your part.
Rain,
what's your advice on taking losses. I watch my penny stocks plummet in pps and do nothing. Are you of the opinion that one should sell at a 20% decrease in pps and then buy it back?
Cheers,
D
Thanks. Will be watching for this.
These times of financial doom and gloom are impacting all aspects of our economy and making me feel weary about investing further in the stock market. I dont think I'm the only one. Hopefully, the S3 uplisting will come at a time when investors have a better mind set about our economy.
How certain are we about the scheduled uplisting on October 15?
Nice looking fella.
Sounds like a weight training program, eh?
McCain had more than melanomas removed from his head. By picking Palin, he just demonstrated that his good judgment and common has also been surgically removed too!
I guess youre saying that WAMUQ (the holding company) can emerge from bankruptcy and continue as an ongoing concern. That's one theory as to why there's so much buying.
On the other hand, those buying the large blocks could be hedge funds, right? No regular mutual fund has the authority to dabble in the pennies. So, its those hedge funds taking a huge gamble. Or its big time players.
I just want to get out before it tanks. FRE went upto $2.5 and then down. What's your pps range?
They should have special visa privileges for Aussies!
Because instituions are buying really large blocks?
What type of business can the holding company engage in? Who has all the WAMU bad debt? Probably in the bankruptcy.
Why couldnt they come out of Chapter 11 as a reorganized entity and continue to do business like all the major airlines?
I hope they do. What assets does the holding company own, the one in bankruptcy?
Anyone got Level 2 to post?
How are those little Tassie Devils doing? Have they found a cure to the disease that's killing them off?
I lived in Melbourne for 11 years. In Melbourneopolis, that is.
Bought WAMUQ firt this this am at .085.
The little island of Australia is known as Tasmania.
Stop rubbing it in!
So fools (possibly me) will rush in tomorrow and buy it at above .08 so that you and others can sell and then you buy your little island!
Why should anyone buy WAMU at this pps?
Cheers,
D
After all the doom and gloom in our financial markets and bank failures and seizures, we are due for good news on SRSR. I don't even dare look at my 401K.
Merle's statements that shareholders will be happy with what Scott has been doing means an uplisting to me.
After the uplisting my friends, and the NI43-101 report, we all will be very happy campers.
Cheers,
D
A capitalist liberal?
Sounds like an oxymormon to me.
LOL. Looking for someone or something to blame.
Can't take you seriously,dude.
Is it too much to ask that you keep an open mind?
Why buy WAMU?
What assets does it still own? Suppose it converts from a Chapter 11 to a Chapter 7 liquidation?
In this financial climate, who is going to pay attention to PR releases.
And proud of it!
How can we solve this financial mess by attacking each other?
For the past 8 years it was Bush that was in charge. Have you forgotten that?
Hopefully, the bail out plan will be passed soon. Warren Buffet as well as Bill Gross of PIMPCO support the plan.
Take care my Right-wing friend,
D
Who cares who is to blame for this. Lots of Republicans made a ton of money during the bubble. And many of us took advantage of these loans, I know I did.
We now need to focus on a solution to the problem. First, we need to understand the issues involved.
Can you cycle around the lake? Are the roads good.
What else did you see up there. Like maybe some drill rigs?
D
House of Reps rejects the bail out plan.
House rejects bail out bill.
Great, and what does the House of Idiots propose to do now?
Even this San Fran liberal reluctantly agrees with you.
Term limits make sense at this time. Those folks in DC get too cozy with all kinds of special interest groups.
Relax dude, its not that bad.
If Obama is a borderline communist where does that leave McCain?
Yup, he's (McCain) a gambling dude and was probably very brave in combat and took lots of risks. All good traits for warriors.
But I don't want a hothead or an aging warrior in the Whitehouse. The time has come for cooler heads, with brains in them, to run our country.
Why oh why did he pick the bimbo Palin? Do you trust his judgment on the palin debacle? He only met the Bimbo once. Took a huge gamble on this one and lost.
OT
No offense taken.
The Dept. of Fatherland Security the Patriot Act are Bush admininstration policies and initiatives.
its Bush that is leading down the Big Brother road. Am I wrong?
Thanks for your thoughts on this.
I agree, its a very interesting story.
But now that we are in this mess, we need to find a way out.
May your son come home to you, soon.
OT
Was it for the WMD? Or are we in Iraq to stabilize the region to protect our access to oil?
We are in Iraq in an attempt to install a sympathetic gov that we hope will stabilize the region and bring peace to the Middle East. Noble goals indeed. That's what W should have told the Nation, instead of the BS about WMD and the threat of terrorists on our shores.
We cannot impose our will on another nation that doesnt want us. They want us out! Why dont you get that!
Thousands of soldiers have died. Many more iraqis. That in itself doesnt justify continuing this misguided war.
How would you like it we were invaded by a foreign power that knew what's best? Not! We are not the saviors of mankind or the Middle east.
OT.
We live in a democracy where everyone, no matter what derogatory term you choose for them (ie whiny), has a right to voice their opinion.
The fact that you have two sons in the military and are a vet, does not elevate your opinion in the matter of Iraq or anything else.
I'm sorry that your sons are in harms way, but that does not justify this stupid war.
Ours is not to wonder why,
ours is to do and die.
Some of us, do wonder why and at what cost.
Take care,
D
Does it really matter who is to blame? Lots of Rebooblicans got contributions from Fannie and Freddie execs.
Lots of people made money on cheap loans that they used to buy and sell real estate. I'm one of them. That's capitalism, buddy!
Why did appraisors and bank loan officers accept out of control valuations? People made a ton of money of this bubble. Now that the music has stopped, you need to blame just the Dems?
Long live capitalism! We are in a bust cycle and it hurts, but dem is da breaks, dude!
D
Amen Brother,
There's plenty of blame to go around regarding Fannie's and Freddie's demise, but the stupid war in Iraq has not helped matters.
We need to get out of Iraq and not let our "post-Vietnam traumatic syndrome" that we need to win this one at all costs, impact our judgment.
McCain is wrong. Victory at any cost is not an option. We need to disengage from Iraq and let them run their country.
Once again, we ask the question, why did so many die? For what purpose? To protect the homeland? From what and from whom?
D
Let's be fair here. Both Reboobplicans and the Democrats helped pass legislation that allowed FRE and Fannie to be able to buy junk loans, package them up and sell them off as investment vehicles.
It sounded like a good idea at the time, allowing more lower income workers( and others) to purchase homes they otherwise could not afford, if it were not for the no-down, low-down, no doc loan products.
Both parties must share the blame. The party was good while it lasted and now its time to pay the piper.
