At these prices HMGP is quickly becoming a stock for longs. We aren't going to double or triple every month going forward. Ok, well probably this month and the next at least it still will, but after that it will probably go in multiples less that 2. So we are leaving the flippers behind and the daytraders left long ago.
What we need now are people who are serious about energy stocks and who understand them. Unfortunately that is not me, I am a flipper. So as much as I hate saying this, it is time for me to go and learn something new. I think I've already learned how to hold, now for the energy stuff.
This weekend's homework, memorize all of the following definitions:

That 5000 was for you brikk. ;)
Well, the PR was nice and all.
But, it didn't have any meat. It just hinted at what is coming next week. Sure there was some new stuff about gas wells and more hints about newly discovered payzones. All great stuff, especially for the longs that know what some of it could mean.
There was a lot of confirmation of what we expect to be happening in the next few weeks, however. I am really excited. This will still go into the the $.40s really quick and likely stay there with the threat of all the good news coming. However, I wonder if we will really see much of a volume increase today.
Still, I don't think there was anything there that is going to spark interest in a new investors at current prices. No production numbers from January or details on the current operations or geo report stuff. Of course, I don't really know what the dollar amounts are that can be tied to that amount of NG. Someone start buying and prove me wrong.
I'm not always sure I am speaking the same language. It seems to be some mix of English and investor pigeon.
I'm green, so I am content to wait, I suppose.
No, not personally. It sounded like he was pretty busy and I figure you'd been keeping in contact.
Same reason I've only bugged Keith once and let lowman handle being point man. Plus I've been pretty busy this week.
LOL. No. I've been wondering what they'd be worth at the end of this week, but it's looking more like they'll be worth about what I paid for them.
Next week can wait I supposed. Just more time to buy more cheapies. I nearly doubled my position yesterday.
Thanks lowman. Congrats indeed.
And even more thanks for bringing in the action, even if you killed yourself with kindness by doing it a few days too early.
I still remember you complaining you hadn't loaded the boat enough! :)
Yes, this isn't a typical cup and handle by any means, even if the handle continues. It looks right, but usually the cup isn't quite so deep. I doubt the handle will get much deeper than this either.
However a 36 to 27.5 drop is 8.5 out of a run from around 2-36 or 34 cents. That is a full 25% down. It may not be a full 1/3, but 1/4 is pretty close.
One wild ride is for sure. Glad to know you rode it out. I doubt many did from those levels. At current levels HMGP has moved my retirement up by at least a decade. When it breaks a dollar or two... well, I try not to think about it too much yet.
See ya around.
Ditto. I even nabbed a few at .15.
Hey dumbas! Sorry man it was my turn in the $.19s. I think it is bedwards turn next.
Nice call. ;)
Personally, I don't have the stomach for flipping HMGP. I'll do that in my other plays but not here.
Completely understand, I'm in the same (loaded) boat.
So far greed has been on my side for once, but reality keeps trying to sink in.
It hasn't yet though. :)
I was actually watching when you bought those shares. I had no money that day and wasn't sure if I should anyway. Now I know I should have.
Congrats on a great play.
I brought up my daily chart and there is something new. Those pretty little candle things on the chart, you know long and green. They're kinda shaped like the side of a mountain over all?
Well today there is this big funny reddish looking one? I've never seen that before. What's it mean? Kinda feels Christmasy.
I know what you want to hear, but I am afraid there isn't going to be any visible, immediate response. It isn't like it wasn't visible from weeks away, anyone who likes to invest based on that could easily have gotten ahead of time.
Does it add some validity to Hemi? Yes. Did it/will it probably attract a new set of investors? Yes. Is it going to make the stock run to $1 overnight? No.
That will take at least another month. :D
Braden112 I don't believe it has changed at all, the float is still 16M. Last year the O/S increased 4M to help get leases and such, but the float didn't change.
How about a 5 day run from $.20 to $.36. Wasn't that enough?
LOL. If you think a stop loss is going to save your butt when you own 1M+ shares you are sorely mistaken. If I were to stop loss my shares at say $.25 and market sell them we would be in the single digits before it was over.
And a stop loss isn't going to save you if the stock halts. I guess someone already mentioned CKYS.
Heck stupid scottrade (I am in the same boat) won't even allow market orders on a penny stock, much less stop losses.
Wow, were bleeding here.
If I didn't have 100x as much money in HMGP right now I would be pretty upset.
I just ducked into the DTC and took a picture of where they have been storing the extra float for HMGP...
Yes, Keith mentions in the big 4 post email that lowman posted that they will maintain a controlling interest no matter what.
A good thing, indeed.
I hope this isn't happening. There seem to enough little investors right now to keep us moving. I'd much prefer Big Oil to get involved later and take us from $1.50 to $3+.
Looks like the answer to #2 is no. Soon, meaning soon.
Two questions.
Any progress on figuring out the complete share structure? What's the issue there?
Is this shell ready to go or are there any other milestone filings we would expect to see between now and a RM?
Thanks!
Look again at Jagman's chart:

We had one day, one! where we hit $.40 and the volume was practically nothing. During the brief period around it while we hovered at $.35 the volume was even less.
Yes it looks like a cup pattern if you give the same weight to the trading last summer as we are seeing right now. I don't. If anything, there will be psychological resistance at $.35 maybe. Was there any at $.25 where the chart showed we should have at least paused? No.
I pick option #3.
They have been quietly collecting leases for a number of years. Things are just finally starting to move to where they are making some of these holdings known and even developing them. They start drilling wells next month.
Yes, it would take a lot of shares, but enough small holders with 50-100K could do it. And that is when the MMs try naked shorting it a little to help it along.
Still, I don't think it will be soon. A few months from now we may have to be on our toes.
Consolidation and bases are indeed good. Shaking out weak hands is good. Because as strange as it may seem right now, one day we are going to retrace. Will it be at $.75 or $2.50, who knows, but at some point someone will feel the need to take profits.
If this is done responsibly and smartly at the ask we will see it as a resistance level and move beyond it. However, if someone starts bidwacking it will move down. We've seen it move down before, no big deal right? But what if it isn't 2 cents? What if it is 25 cents and we are at $.90? It could happen, who knows. You better ask yourself now what you are going to do. Are you going to panic and sell it down further. Or are you going to realize that the HMGP story hasn't changed and wait it out.
At this point, that is what the MMs are waiting for. They haven't been able to bring it down themselves, because they don't have the shares to make it happen. We have the shares. So they will wait until someone cracks and then they will do everything they can to make it worse.
So, if you think you are long, then be long and be prepared. Keep watching the Hemi story and not the PPS (unless it is going up and you feel the need to do a little jig now and then.)
Bidwacking is the 8th deadly sin.
I have only one lifetime anyway, so this 'once in a lifetime' stock should be enough for me.
What's beautiful is the movement we are getting now that resistance is largely gone on NO news. I could cry happy tears.
We could be pushing $.50 before we get that next great news. Like you said Keith is very timely with the PRs. Everytime it moves without help, is one more PR he can save for a rainy day.
We've done really well on tidbit PRs lately. Image what happens when we get a bombshell.
It a good little Oil&Gas company pretty much unknown until two months ago. Lots of good things going on. I've been in since $.02 and was buying more recently at $.195.
The emails from the CEO linked in the iBox are quite a read.
GLTA.
Yes, we've been doing very well. I've been in from $.02 and buying at recently as $.195.
It's one of those plays where people think they've missed the ride and two weeks later are kicking themselves for not getting in. Great fundamentals here. February is going to be a great month from what we hear.
GLTA.
HMGP - Golden Cross tomorrow.
No debt. No dilution. Tightly Held. Consistent flow of positive PR.
Looking good.
