Yes I know but maybe after label expansion- all bets would be off at that point
How about a 1-1 stock deal with BIIB who needs to pump up their PPS after recent setbacks?? It would make many on this board millionaires and multi- millionaires with a stock that would only go up with V onboard
Im only relaying what my sister told me after her visit to her Cardiologist I told her previously to ask for a V prescription
Its true. My sister said her Cardiologist was part of the Adventist Hospitals Cardiology Group of 100 Docs who studied V and are not prescribing. She was told they considered it just another fish oil drug and that all she needed was a statin. They had been contacted by an AMRN rep also which tells me either they had a bad rep or are stupid. Calling it fish oil really is disturbing
I have contacted AMRN.
Give me a break
LOL The GIA crowd has a problem understanding with how a small company competes with BP or should I say doesn't compete. When AMRN gets a label expansion it will soon thereafter be gobbled up by BP ( if not before)
Youre correct. The general public and most Docs know ziltch about V. If they have heard of it is is simply as a Trig reducer. The numbers dont lie.
Thanks- will text her now.
You are correct sir. This is exactly what my PCP told me this week That and sheer ignorance— the fact that people cant get V prescriptions at one of the
largest Cardiologists group in Central Florida because they think it is just “fish oil”[.
No they arent snake handlers but are largely vegetarians who worship on Saturday. Their Cardiologist are apparently locked in on statins like many others
No but cannot tolerate statins
Just talked to my sister agsin and she says the AMRNreps have tslked to her
Thanks. Thats the one. The AMRN Rep has some work to do with their Cardiology Group
Its part of Fla Hospitals now the 7th Day Adventist. Her Doc sounds pretty ignorant
This is The Florida Heart Group 100 Diocs in Orlando area
They think its just expensive fish oil
And I would add the cardiologist told her there were many other cheaper fish oil alternatives. This is why some on this board realize AMRN needs a BO
My 65 year old sister asked her Cardiologist to put her on V. No dice She was told that the 100 Docs in Florida Heart Group researched V and said they wont prescribe. She was told Crestor is all she needs which makes her sick. This is what we are up against folks
Just V. Never have been on statins
Had a lipid panel done today. After 18 months on V my cholesterol value went from 275 to 148. Trigs went from 175 to 149 and surprisingly LDL. —Went from 184 to 75. My PCP was very impressed. V is the real deal folks- but you already knew that. No statins for this boy!
Excellent point. The PPS can only tread water or go down like AMRN is doing for so long. Every company is for sale
I have no beef with what he says- its how he says it.
Agree completely. AMRN needs an articulate charismatic public speaker. JT is a bean counter and sounds like one. Sales and marketing 101.
Yeah I agree but this is typical JT- sandbagging- I hope
I hope AMRN knows a lot more than they have indicated. These commercials only reinforce what the street thinks of AMRN- a one trick pony to lower trigs. The only thing I can imagine they are trying to do is establish some name tecognition
Youre very fortunate. I would never take it
Cipro is bad news. I have a friend who took it for two days snd his tendons started to snap throughout his body. He is in severe pain and has been for over 6 years. He expects to die from this eventually. Just pathetic
I agree Kev. But it will get a double boost with a legit BO offer upon expanded label approval. I hope we are talking late Septemberish
It will boost it a little temporarily and then the shorties will do what they do everyday
Im in. I just think the GIA scenario is a long winding road. Sept 24 was nearly 8 months ago. The PPS is lower now The expanded label will start a bidding war but nobody on this board knows for sure or has any say in the matter. BP knows V is golden- thats for sure
Im long and accumulating but tend to agree. The elephant in the room is—- WHAT IF we dont get an expanded label??? Dont like to think about it and have to believe it is improbable BUT ———
The next position to be created should be sales and marketing director and public spokesperson for AMRN. Qualifications should include great communication skills as a public speaker. No offense JT but you're a bean counter- we need those kind of people but not on CNBC
Thats got to be what it is- I sure hope so
I agree- only a strong BO rumor or actual offer will move PPS upward until label expansion
Actually I posted a couple of times on this board about having prostatitis for 30 years. After 3 weeks on V I could empty my bladder fully for the first time in memory. Of course I never expected that at all having learned to live with the condition for a long time. My prostate has shrunk- not inflamed anymore . Hope you can get on V- it will help
I doubt that —- $37 is a joke unless NVS threw in a 1-1 share deal. NVS is at $81 now
For what its worth this also from Stocktwits early today——
“Novartis (NYSE: NVS) is rumored to be in talks to acquireAmarin Corp. (NASDAQ: AMRN), according to a source claiming to have knowledge of the matter. Talks are said to be advanced but it is unclear if the discussions will lead to a deal.
Amarin has seen shares surge nearly 600% from the fall of 2018 after the success of Vascepa in the REDUCE-IT study, which showed the drug met its primary endpoint demonstrating an approximately 25% relative risk reduction in major adverse CV events versus placebo. Rumors have been swirling around the company ever since.
In addition to Novartis, Pfizer (NYSE: PFE), Amgen (NASDAQ: AMGN) and AstraZeneca (NYSE: AZN) have also been rumored to be interested in acquiring the company.
Over the past 2 weeks there has been significant call option purchases that generally precipitate a formal announcement. Our source has indicated $31.5 is the price on the table while the company wants $37 per share”
From Stocktwits. Interesting speculation on a “what if”———May 11th, 1:55 pm
$AMRN So impressed by Friday's scripts - just flat out awesome. Imagine $AZN / $PFE what that number would be if the drug was in your hands - with your large sales force, marketing prowess, ability to influence formularies, and revitalizing Crestor / Liptor sales with a combo drug for even more revenue. Now JT, imagine being part of that monster.
Make that 2020
