Still thinking it'll bounce back?
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2016/05/ktov-what-just-happened.html
At some point it has to rally....but long term I think its done.
Wrong stock....LIX is at a much earlier stage
I don't even think they're permitted for any of their claims....let alone have FS done...I think they're still in the process of raising capital.
Can Lithium Americas break the $1 CDN barrier?
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2016/06/can-lithium-americas-break-through-1.html
For those who want to read it just click the link.
Fair enough.....
Heretofore their filings have shown as being "unaudited"...
http://www.otcmarkets.com/edgar/GetFilingHtml?FilingID=11366874
If their auditors sign off then maybe they can get off the pinks and onto the OTCBB
Link to info about ABRW's auditor?
Thanks guys....I can't find any info on ABRW hiring MaloneBailey or any other company.
Well then....I'll look forward to seeing them off the pinks
Can you link up something to confirm that? TIA
Who audits their financials?
In the post Sab/Ox world its easier to trust a company's audited financial filings thankfully, but still some firms have run afoul of the newer more stringent regulations.

Cott Corp. shares jumped more than 12 per cent

Did you really think.....
That all the email blasts and social media pumping were motivated by people who were buying and looking to hook total strangers up with a big money making Penny Stock 'investment'?
More institutional selling, Univ Tex opts to sell out....
I know some think UTIMCO was forced to sell by some mandate, but that's for shares distributed to a couple of funds, (PUF and GEF) not the license and incentive shares they received to "partner" with Ziopharm.
Its all explained in my latest blog post complete with a link to the relevant SEC filing detailing under what circumstances UTIMCO might sell the shares and what effect the sales will have on Dr Cooper's compensation:
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2016/06/ziop-institutional-ownership-drops-univ.html
Back in my day it was A&P....
I don't even think they exist anymore, last time I went to NYC I stopped into my old home town for a visit, and the neighborhood A&P had turned into a liquor store.
What part of NJ are you in?
I spent part of my growing up in Bergen County....but please don't ask how long ago, its going back a ways.
LoL.....well said
No worries....
You go with power point slides, I'll look at the filings.....we'll see where she's at in another few months.
Thanks Joenatural....
My first post about ABRW got so much positive feedback I couldn't resist writing another with more research and analysis.
ABRW - A sure fire winner or just another OTC hype job

New post at AvoidTheBag
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2016/06/will-nemaska-rebound.html
There is no such thing as a no brainer or a slam dunk....
The only time I am able to identify a no brainer is in hindsight, I bought Nemaska in 2015 at 15 cents and rode it for more than a 500% gain before bailing too soon. In hindsight NMX (I'm a Canuck so I buy on the CDN exchanges) was obviously a slam dunk, like a lot of Jr Lithium miners out there that have seen similar and even better gains.
Does EGT (again the CDN symbol) have the potential to turn into another hindsight sure winner? I think it does.....I don't think this battery storage and related components space, I don't think its gotten near the exposure that it could going forward.
If that happens another 500% gain, up north of a dollar....that wouldn't surprise me, and if it happens I'll probably cash out too soon again, while at the same time bemoaning the fact that I didn't buy even more of it when it was still cheap.
Just wait...this whole sector could pop
I can see this going the way of the Jr. Lithium mining space....with newbie companies popping up all over the place....and the older more established small caps getting the biggest bump.
Are reverse mergers ever a good thing?
I remember one that turned into something spectacular:

Cute....
If the first therapy does not cure disease xthe treatment is considered failed and the patient goes on to the the next one.
Do you have a link for this? Not that it matters....cancer in many cases is considered terminal, which by definition means it is incurable....However that doesn't mean it can't be treated and that chemo is sometimes successful in shrinking tumors.
Here's a quote and the link:
Chemo may be used to shrink tumors before surgery or radiation. It may be used after surgery or radiation to help kill any cancer cells that are left. It may be used with other treatments if the cancer comes back.
http://www.cancer.org/acs/groups/cid/documents/webcontent/003321-pdf.pdf
Then all therapies that don't cure cancer fail???
Call the FDA and tell them to stop approving treatments unless they totally cure the disease. Obviously if a treatment extends a person's life, even if its just a few months...that is success. Whether its 3 months, 6 months or even a few years. Even 3 months is huge, it can mean birthdays, anniversaries, graduations...so many important life events.
Trying to characterize something that extends a person's life a failure just to put a positive spin on some hyped up stock.....puke.

Funny ain't it....
Back in 2012 some guy published a blog and Ziopharm put out a PR that refuted some blogger's claims. Okay....fair enough, if they thought the information was false its their right, besides it might have hurt their share price and a lot of the compensation they pay to senior people is stock based...Kewl.
But now you have this slimeball RobCos posting about a #miracle and putting up stuff about a clean MRI for a guy who failed all his other treatments, totally made up stuff....
And what do we hear from the company? Crickets....but then maybe they like having people thinking they've got a proven #miracle cure or something, that sure couldn't hurt the share price.
Only refute social media postings if it is negative, but if the lies are bullish...hey that's kewl.
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2016/05/the-pr-ziopharm-should-put-out-in-my.html
When resistance turns to support....
40 cents was resistance for a while there...hopefully we'll see it turn into support and then move up from here.
I don't post anything like Rob.....
No outlandish claims, negative or positive. ZIOP is running out of cash, that's a fact, fully disclosed in their filings. This ph I trial they just PR'd the results about is estimated to have a study completion date of December 2018, a full year after their filings say they expect to be out of cash.
Long investors think that a partnership, a merger or a buyout will come to the rescue before the cash register is empty, and maybe it will be....that's speculation but it isn't fact.
No question ZIOP is an amazing trading vehicle....But as a long term hold I see it as being massive risk and grossly overvalued based on the fundamentals. Weak cash position, paying big bucks to guys like the CEO, and nothing in late stage development.
I ticked him off.....
He was mad because I wouldn't approve his pumper claim about ZIOP having a miracle cure for cancer on my blog.....Makes me think of Bre-X with the guy who seeded samples with shavings from his gold wedding ring. Guys like RobCose think fooling the public is okay, as long as they're macking it.
So you're saying its okay to sucker people....
If they're dumb enough to believe some #miracle cure bravo sierra posting about a clean MRI. That's very much a boiler room mentality....ah well they're stupid, its okay to take them down.
There's a prolific pumper touting false info all over the net.....
Anyone who follows ZIOP in social media has likely come across the user ID RobCos or pharmamaven....one in the same person. This guy is posting blatantly false info about the PH I trial and a blogger who is taking part in the trial, claiming that this patient failed other drug treatments when they succeeded in shrinking his tumour, and saying the guy now has a "clean" MRI which sadly he does not.
This guy is a disgusting human being obviously:

If history is any guide...
The equities that stockreversals pounds the table about, while the overall trend is down there are always big pops and drops, lots of volatility...a day traders dream imo.
The perils of drawing a cause and effect relationship
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2016/05/a-science-lesson-for-investors-in.html
Intelligent people ask questions...
This is science, not kindergarten. You can't draw a cause and effect relationship without a control group....The 10 patients who are still in the trial might all have survived without treatment. There is only one conclusion that seems reasonable based on the very little data presented.
The trial is meeting the goal of a ph-I study...its proving safety. If people started suffering Adverse Events (AE) or death after taking the treatment, then you have to stop. Thankfully there's only been one death, hopefully it had nothing to do with the treatment...and I assume it didn't.
But to infer that the reason the 6 patients dosed longer than 6.2 months are still alive, and the 5 dosed less than 6.2 months as well, that its due to Ziopharm's treatment....you can't do that and only an idiot would.
Yes they're receiving treatment, and yes they're still alive...but that doesn't mean one led to the other. Using that logic one could say that as the population of whales has decreased world wide, the incidence of divorce has increased in the United States, ergo killing whales causes divorce...or divorcing causes whales to die.
Obviously that's ridiculous...which is why you need control and placebo groups if you want to draw cause and effect relationships.
I'm looking into it.....
Given that they've achieved "breakthrough status" from the FDA I think there has to be some published data....but of course with Duke not being like a public company with shares to sell, they're probably not gonna be putting out press releases about their results...
this looks like some of the info from clincaltrials.gov
https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01491893
New blog posting on Lithium Americas
The up trend is back:
http://www.avoidthebag.com/2016/05/lithium-americas-resumes-up-trend.html
Yeah I saw the 60 minutes show....
Duke looks very close, that one woman being cancer free for 4 years and now in nursing...WoW!!! I know they lost some patients when they increased the dosage of polio virus...explaining that when something works well during trials, SOP is to increase the dosage to see if they can make it work better. Science is slow and painful at times.
Also in the 2nd follow up that I saw they're now looking at combining their method with chemo to address the issue of inflammation, and that its shown promise so far....nice. Duke is so far advanced compared to so many others, and the clock is always ticking.
If Duke is ultimately successful I'll be cheering, even though I don't have any money in play with them...I assume they're private and not pulling in anything close to what Cooper made last year ($15 million?). I think the lead at Duke (freeman? friedman?) should be making double what Coop is based on these results.
Yeah I heard of this guy....
He's survived for years after his diagnosis if I'm not mistaken.....has undergone all kinds of treatments and keeps beating the odds....inspirational, I think a lot of people get a cancer diagnosis, and while they fight it, most resign themselves to the outcome and depression sets in which weakens the immune system....while some, like this Peacock guy, he keeps that PMA going and lives far longer because of his attitude.
Glad the trial is working and meeting its primary endpoint, I'd hate to see people trying a therapy or treatment only to find out its toxic or something and kills them. Sadly that does happen, whether a treatment works or not, that requires more complex ph II and a ph III trial obviously. Single arm studies are okay just to prove safety though.
