Yea, I read that. I will definitely base my decision on today's behavior.
I only have it in IRA so I guess I could hold it longer term.
What do you think? I am thinking to sell for a loss. I hate holding bios that I'm down on more than 9-10%
Yea, got some 5.53 ave.
BIAD... been a turd for a while but it's gonna move sooner or later. Nice to see you adding here (I've added in same area couple of times over the last few months)
You called it, Stevo
why did it drop so much?
MEIP... thoughts?
Welcome back Bob!
MEIP weeeeeeeee!
What a day, huh? huge vol
MEIP weeeee
LOL, no... I can't watch much during the day. Just checking once in a while. Glad to hear this
MEIP, I guess it is basing here to go higher. I thought it'd break down but it recovered and looks good
Did you find out how they are getting paid? Hopefully not with cheap shares.
How's that "swing" trade with 100% gain target and "perfect chart" treating you?
From my experience 99.9% of PRs on Friday AH are really really bad news.... It's like an unofficial rule.
You don't want a PR AH on Friday, trust me
Your analogy is a stretch to say the least but in any case what are You doing besides complaining on an trading message board?
I care about making $ to improve my life (AND my children) and being emotional about what's happening (I am well aware of debt, etc) is always causing my trades to go worse than could have been so I always try to tune all of this out.
Reading all these articles, complaining on iHub, etc. doesn't improve CB situation so I really don't see the point. Sorry.
What wave? Stocks? No, stocks don't always go up but I bet 30 years from now those good name stocks will be multiples higher.
SVXY? Yes, it will always go up from points where volatility spikes. It's a simple fact.
OK, I see. Just don't be too emotional about this because negativity will keep you out of good trades.
By the way, the market pretty much recovered so even if I had some stock positions, why would I lose my ass?
I short volatility when it spikes so naturally I was mostly all cash at the moment. And naturally I made big gains since then. You can check my post history....
All I need is few spikes per year to make great $$ and then just sit and wait for the next one.
My biggest trades are long SVXY and I just have "fun" with speculative plays.
Edit: I have some AAPL, etc (big names) in IRA that I don't even look at because it's my holds for 30+ years from now.
Weeeee! The usual run into holiday season.
nice. you nailed it today
Yep. You also announced you will be waiting for 5s
Interesting... So you bought pretty much at today's LOD and yet posted an hour later after it's up from this point? And yet you post nonstop otherwise?
In this case, I am in at $6.20 LOL
Just FYI, ZeroHedge is a Russian sponsored FUD outlet. If you follow Ukrainian conflict, ZeroHedge is basically Kremlin's propaganda "megaphone" and since this conflict started, it became very evident.
Well, today I sold even more at $63.50 from very low $50s ave. It is probably too early (just take a look at that beautiful contango) to unload but I gotta take such profits.
SVXY made my year, to say the least.
Probably closer to 13 although this is a "normal" level right here... basically no volatility.
Red market does NOT automatically = volatility and this is precisely (well, one of main reasons) why TVIX is nearing all time lows and is just a fraction of a penny from where it originated.
RS is the norm with UVXY/TVIX. Look at all-time chart
Thanks for MEIP, guys! Market cap ~= cash position. A no brainer
What support? There's no such thing for TVIX. Technicals do not apply here.
Contango looks really ugly for TVIX longs and at the moment going long is pretty much like gambling on a slot machine.

Excellent read, thanks.
More folks on this board should read this carefully
Historic drop in VIX? How is going back to normal a historic drop? It surely was a historic spike and time spent in backwardation but there's nothing historic about the "drop". It's absolutely normal and expected
How do you like that dump now? Almost at $9 (after RS)
I'm all out at a small loss ($wise). Started position at .69 hoping to add on strength and some significant event but it didn't happen so gotta move on.
Gonna watch how this plays out.
Good luck all.
I don't day trade so can't "hold" TVIX or watch all day. Instead I short it and let this position ride... Easy $
