That is usually the intention of a CEO. To get the best deal possible for the company. As for License fees...depends on which side of the equation you're on how much cash is needed, but nothing gets done for free. Any company in any business needs cash. If you don't have enough cash it becomes increasingly more difficult to grow the company.
All I am watching for is the "how" It's no longer a question of "if" and the "when" (while still being speculated on) is not an event sometime in the dim future, but something that will happen soon.
Keep your crossed fingers tightly wrapped around your rabbits foot that whatever the deal is...that it isn't dilutive. If that turns out to be the case you guys may have underestimated the potential. If however the financing is dilutive...you may have underestimated the downside by quite a bit.
Best of Luck to All.

MM,
You misunderstand.
It is perfectly OK for you (or anyone else) to prefer one particular style over another style. This does not invalidate the style of either party.
I commented on TLC's childish "I'm leaving cause Jenna deleted me" post. LG chose to support my comment. You proceeded to attack him on such important issues as proper word use, when you also seem to have the same difficulty.
What I have difficulty in comprehending is this incessant pounding of "IH is unfair" from a select group of SI devotees, while at the same time hailing Bob Z as the second coming. Last time I checked Bob Z *IS* IH!
Face it, if you want to post here your welcome to. Even if you are Jenna. Even if there is no way to verify whether or not you made 20 or 50 winning trades in a row. Even if you make statistically impossible claims, whether or not they are true. Even if you occasionally misspell a word or make a grammatical error.
But there is one thing you aren't going to be allowed to do here at IH... operate a personal vendetta. Doesn't matter who it is that doesn't think so and so should be allowed to draw breath. You have to leave them in peace.
So if you have a system that is making you money, trade with it. Share it with whomever you wish. Sell it if you want to. Just don't whine about someone else being able to do the same thing.
TLC and you present yourselves as "superior" to everyone else. Maybe it's intentional, maybe that is just who you are. Either way it probably has more to do with why your posts get deleted than you might think. It is very easy to grant folks a little respect, you should try it sometime.
The Bird of Prey
If it was irrelevant(sp) why did you bring it up in the first place?
I do agree that you and TLC are "like minded".
The Bird of Prey
Um...Ahem...well...
He might have simply started with a copy of this message that you wrote...before he made the post you refer to.

Or it could be a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
Didn't your parents teach you not to throw bricks in glass houses?

I always prefer friendly and respectful to the alternative. I also agree that a financing announcement will be soon, some have predicted it will be necessary by the end of the month. I'm honestly expecting something before the end of the summer at the latest.
Three legs to stand on...management, product & money. Any one absent and it will not hold.
Best to you and yours.

Pete,
No apology necessary, we all get a little carried away at times. I became interested in NPCT only recently, when a certain unnamed very inflammatory individual was trashing NPCT and several users here. My research agreed with several of the points this negative person presented (CEO history, dilutive financing, lacking sufficient cash for growth, etc.) but there were several positive factors that have kept my interest in NPCT since that unfortunate individuals departure. Anytime I see a stock double I want to find out why. Besides, I do a lot of work with companies that provide traffic control devices and there is some buzz about LED's, etc.
While I will grant that the CEO has had troubles in his past, it was a long time ago and he has managed to attract some talented individuals as you correctly stress in your post. It does appear that there is a viable product generating some interest. The only major hitch is the financing. I suspect this may be the reason for the current "ceiling" at $1.75.
I am looking for the announcement concerning the financing before jumping on board. Yes, I may not make as much as those that bought in now or before now, but I like my Risk/Reward ratio much better post financing than pre-financing. After all, if the financing were to be toxic as some have speculated I would have nothing at risk.
The Bird of Prey
Don't sell yourself short. 8>)
Both links provided some information about where people think the money to expand this company is going to come from. That is useful in and of itself.
One source indicates a number of potential sources of financial support. The other shows *how* such support might be executed. Neither gives the impression that financial support will have a dilutive effect, and in the scenario described it wouldn't be dilutive typically. Given the recent strength in this stock price it seems that a good number of people are finding the described scenario plausible and therefore a good reason for plunking some cash down on NPCT.
I simply found the Moe Green reference humorous. Thought I would see if anyone else was of a similar mind.
You are right about there being a number of bright lights posting here. I am hoping to see more discussion of real issues as opposed to who is the minister of whatever. Though such discussions can be entertaining, they don't help much with learning what is going on with the company. As I see it, the biggest issue facing NPCT is adequate financing, preferably non-dilutive or minimally dilutive.
Thanks for your help.
The Bird of Prey
OK,
In the message you pointed to on the agora site as an answer to my question about financing... a quote from the movie the Godfather was referenced. Specifically the one where a Las Vegas operater named Moe Green responds to the offer to be bought out by saying "You don't buy me out...I buy YOU out!"
Shortly thereafter he is shot in the eye while getting a massage.
The Bird of Prey
I appreciate the links to the other sites...
but since there are several people here that do a fine job of DD (muell, kloock sarals, etc.) I would think that there should be adequate resources to post DD here.
Especially for those of us that are die hard IHUBBERS and don't like the idea of traipsing off to other boards. 8>)
The Bird of Prey
OK,
But do you recall what happened to Moe Green AFTER he said that line?

Changes to settings for favorites page working as expected.
And I like them very much. Thank you.
The Bird of Prey
IF...
it continues to trade near it's current price (+/- 5%) for another week or two, then you would be correct in calling a cup & handle.
And that would be very bullish indeed.
Any word on financing?
The Bird of Prey
Understood,
I'll take this back to the csstest board where it belongs.
Thumbs up on the new settings effects!
The Bird of Prey
Ok, but I'm still gettting it. I can't open the favorites page at all from that directory. Thought it might be one of those undocumented features.
Just reporting not bitching.
The Bird of Prey
Well,
The new sorting scheme was really cool...until i got this error message

Although it wasn't a comprehesive list...
IH was deliberately excluded for the following reason.
Since I was grandfathered in (but sent in some cash anyway) I would only see a single banner just prior to logging in. The totals were an example of what one gets on every page of the site mentioned. It would be like comparing apples and oranges to include IH, from my perspective.
Besides, it was just something interesting. I was surpised by some of the totals once I started counting.
The Bird of Prey
Earlier this week
I saw someone commenting on the number of ads on a particular site. While I was going over some of the sites I usually read, I decided to take a quick review of how many ads were shown.
I limited this to just graphic links (banners, boxes & buttons) though several sites deserve special recognition for gratuitous use of text ads.
My Results:
Yahoo - 3+ and a pop up (ads shown varied but three was most common)
NY Times - 12 and a pop up
USA Today - 4+ and a pop up
Orlando Sentinel - 6
MSN - 2
Sporting News - 3 and an occasional pop up
Free EDGAR - 5+ plus a host of text ads at the bottom
CBOE - 4
Stock Charts - 1 plus a number of text ads
See what happens when I get bored! 8>)
The Bird of Prey
I remember "turbo" buttons!
In fact, I'm still using a case that has one, for the wife's toy 'puter. It is disabled though.
However, there has been no mention of the staple of the code monkeys diet...Pop Tarts!
The Bird of Prey
It's not like you'll be missed.
So for a week you posted a few trades in "real time". Promised so much more to come. Then went silent. Finally come back at the end of this week with a "look what I did" post, and follow that with a renewal of your personal vendetta.
Remember what they say about the door on your way out.
The Bird of Prey
Bob,
Thanks for fixing that "bug" on the favorites page. Tonight I noticed on favorites that the break between cells within the tables is showing when it wasn't before. While your at it the # of messages column is a wee bit too wide, some of the boards with long names could use that extra space.
Still testing, looking for any undocumented features in need of exposure! *>)

Warring days?
Those weren't even limited altercations! Glad to see you didn't lose your sense of humor. And yes I am still pointing out when the arrogant get too enthusiastic with their chest thumping.
BTW, wasn't commenting on your post, just jerking ola's chain. He doesn't namecall you know. He said so.
Your style has improved some. Maybe that trip to Alaska did you some good. 8)

Wrong again.
Not my definition. Someone started calling them Mirror sites and Mirror posts long ago. Before it was even called the WWW.
Face it. You are an extremely arrogant fellow that thinks you are smarter than the rest of the world. And you can't handle it when you are proved wrong.
The Bird of Prey
Bob,
I just found an "oops" in the Favorites page. When clicking a research link it no longer is opening a new window. I preferred it the old way.
The Bird of Prey
In a word... kewl!
I especially like the individual message layout. Once you get all the boundaries optimized it will be really slick. Thanks for the preview. I shall have to go and brag about you at Q&A. Matt will be so jealous! 8-)
The Bird of Prey
I take it your standard response when your in the wrong is to ignore the opponents message and post nonsense as a "refute". Very boring and not especially original. Even Joe does a better job than that.
Mirror Post - similar to a mirror site. An exact copy of the same post made on another board to allow access by a different group of users. Often used at foreign language sites to service their users with native language versions of English language posts.
The Bird of Prey
buzzer sounds...
"I'm sorry, that is incorrect." You have misused the term 'Mirror post'. Please return to remedial posting 101.

Nothing adversarial about that response. 8>) No namecalling either! Nah! Not from such a "superior intellect".
So, you work the fishing boats up Alaska way?

Will do.

I can use the site through the csstest directory just fine. I'll take a little time and see if I can find anything "odd".

I could not agree more strongly. Let's hope that it does.
The Bird of Prey
It was using a lot of bandwidth, making things slow to load for folks on standard modems. Not wanting to ruin my "nice guy" reputation... 8>) I removed it. I might add it back to my profile though one of these days.
The Bird of Prey
No change. Correction... change only shows in CSStest directory. like it much I do, really make them thar tables jump right out at cha.
The Bird of Prey
BB,
There was a time when a bug allowed a user to put a sound file at the beginning of a message and other users could here it when accessing that message or the board it was on. I "think" it may have been fixed, but I'm not sure. You'd have to ask Matt or Bob.
The Bird of Prey
OB, thanks for posting that PR. When you said yesterday that it had been addressed, I knew you were right but I couldn't remember when.
Now if we only had some idea about ongoing sales. Was there something in the last 10Q?
The Bird of Prey
Sorry, "just" the screen background color.
The Bird of Prey
The current scheme would be fine if you'd just turn all of the FFFFFF to EEEEEE for me.
The Bird of Prey
Bob,
Everything tested out fine. I'll try to be available for testing each morning for the rest of the week.
Looking Good!
