Yes YJ no sell of this company until at least late 2011 or 2012 please.
Stock, What do you know about a company called Nextcode? It was mentioned earlier this week and maybe some connection to Neomedia. I did a little reading about them last night and it seems they had a program that would enhance the camera quality on older cellphones. I was wondering if they're still around and if this could be a potential source of revenue for Neom in any way. May be no connection but I was just curious. Thanks
SRM, quit that! You're making me want to go to Tunica. LOL And I can't afford to go again until my Neom stock comes in.
A dumb question, but I am dumb about much of this. Can MM's accumulate and hold shares of stock in a company and wait for a major event such as our settlement and then sell them when the PPS has climbed higher? Anyone?
racquel, In a couple of years when our friends are telling us how smart we were to be invested in neom, we don't have to tell them that we "stumbled" into it now do we? LOL
racquel, I stumbled into Neomedia also and had I not begun to follow this board I would have long since been gone. Stay with this stock and stay with this board. They are a great source of information and a great "support group". I also thank the entire board for all the great work all you folks do. This is going to get big with a little more time. Thanks P.S. It's the best stumble I ever made!
JP, based on Iain's timetable in this interview, I'm going to change my moniker to Lotsashrts in 2012.LOL Who knows, maybe a little sooner! [By the way, I've read estimates of as many as 12 billion cellphones in the world by 2012]. CLICK CLICK CLICK.
good post beacon.
futureguy, when is the next financial report due out?
Talk about hitting the nail on the head, WOW.
happy birthday les. wait until you see your Christmas present. lol
pro, I agree. Which one are we going to buy first? LOL
NO, They just became one of our best customers!
The part that says Neomedia is "paid up" on Scanbuy's patents could be settlement for Scanbuy's past infringements.
jcg, I never meant to imply merger. I was thinking license agreement, probably through Neustar hence the notable absense of clearinghouse and registry wording in the newer version. Also Scanbuy could claim to be world's leading "provider" and Neom still be leader in "technology".
jcg, A careful reading of this PR from ABOUT SCANBUY on down has a completely different meaning to me as the claims in the PR linked in Success's post 189148:[notable exclusions and notable inclusion of word provider, notice exclusions of registry and clearinghouse claims etc. Looks like they cleaned it up per legal advice. The new version could be accurate only with Neom's patents included per licensing agreement. IMO Could someone who can post links post latest ABOUT SCANBUY claims with old ABOUT SCANBUY claims from success's post and see if all percieve the differences as I do?
edc, I get your point. I guess I mistook his meaning. He probably meant you wouldn't see laptops out in public but back home on people's desks. Makes more sense. Thanks [Please excuse my slowness to reply, I'm a hunt and peck typist.]
edc, I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner had used up 15 posts, I formed that opinion after listening to the Cisco exec being interviewed on Fox Business news about Cisco's 2.9 bil purchase of Starent. He said he believed that handhelds and specificaly talked about the camera scanning uses being developed; would become the consumers mobile PC of choice. He even mentioned they would replace the laptop with the consumer. Even if Cisco is wrong, they bought into the manufacturing of hand held devices and it will still help us one way or the other. edc, I'm not qualified to dispute what you're saying and won't. I just wanted to share what the Cisco exec. said. Thanks
le-bon, you got that right, I'm here til the cows come in.
spongebob, I think this technology in the hands of the public is going to help make laptops obsolete if this gives you a clue as to where I believe it's headed. Neomedia is well situated in the foundation of it.
Spongebob, I'm the least qualified person in the world to answer that. I suggest you read this board as far back as you have the time to, Very knowledgable people on here, you will learn much about this company, where this technology is headed, the hurdles this company yet faces. I know this stock has had a checkered past but you will learn it has turned a major corner. I am so proud that I own some of this stock. You'll have to decide for yourself if it is the type stock you would own to meet your investment practices. [I play golf at Chesley regularly.] Charlie Brown P.S. I know others around Cullman who own this, thats how I heard about it. Yes it is a small world.
Thank you 'le-bon ton-roule' your post with those links help a dummy like me see where this technology is going. I'll never understand the technical aspects of all this but I can see where it is headed, just imagine all the brilliant people at work right now on applications of this technology that we haven't even thought of. Also I'm sure you've been asked this before but would you mind telling an old dummy from North Alabama what your moniker means? [CULLMAN, ALABAMA]
neomfriend, I listened to the CC in real time and got madder than a hornet at what I perceived as a bunch of weaving and bobbing by IM and MZ but listened to it again a couple of nights ago after the news we've had and it took on a whole new meaning to me.
clawmann, I know you explained all this a week or so ago, but will some acknowledgement of const. claim filings show up on Pacer. The part about the lawyer saying that "they were filing" I took that to mean "are filing" if that's the case then filings would be late. If that be the case why no extension request on Pacer by now [ Could have just been the semantics of the way he posted what he heard the lawyer say] but interesting to me none the less.
Ryan, add the uses of 2D codes in passing prescriptions from Dr. to pharmacist and the almost total elimination of the errors we read about. The prescription pad will be a thing of the past. The list just goes on and on. click click click.
Thanks hangdog and 1jk1 and jeff.
Thanks, hangdog. I'm no attorney, but if I were I know one thing, I would never ever lie to or mislead the judge in any communication with him. Those two requests for extensions speak for themselves.
I do to.
Thanks yellowjacket. Maybe money will get a little easier to come by for Neom pretty soon.
yellowjacket, If YA chose to convert all obligations into common stock, don't they have to give 65 days notice? What are Neom's rights or options upon recieving that 65 day notice. Would Neom have the right to raise the money if they could and pay some or all of that off, providing they could raise the money in that 65 days?
always, I'm also aware that lots of folks have accumulated lots of this stock and made lots of money trading it with YA's pumps and dumps and MM's movements but I'm not good enough at this to do that. I bought Neom because of their patent and hoped it would eventually pay off. I believe the landscape with this stock is rapidly changing. I believe that with a little time this company's stock will be truly a first class growth stock. Time will tell. Right now very few people have ever heard of Neomedia, but that will change. I believe in a couple of years Neom's name will rank among some of the better known tech companies we've all heard of. Keep in mind I don't know much about all this but that's my honest opinion. As a marketing tool this barcode scanning is the best thing since sliced bread, but its use as a marketing tool just scratches the surface of the uses this will be used for. I think that funny looking little symbol that looks a little like a ctossword puzzle will be on practically every thing we see. With recent events, I'm now convinced Neom's process will play a huge role in all this. IMO Sorry about no paragraphs LOL
always, I'm new to stocks and made every mistake in the book. I honestly believe I'll get my shirt back on this one. Lack of patience having been my biggest problem. I'm not going to make that mistake with this one. I will sell some at a point but unless this company [Neom] sells out, I'm sure there'll be some Neom stock in my estate. That is how good I believe Neom's future is. By the way, I'm a small fry but it's important to me.
Joey, I love that Warranty of proprietary rights section. It sure don't look like a company who's afraid of a patent case loss does it? I view this as a strong indication that worry is behind us.
yellowjacket, Your opinion is one of many on this board that I pay great attention to. Thanks from someone who needs all the help he can get, and I'm not the least bit ashamed to admit it.
elliot, I'm sorry I'm so slow at this but followed up with what I heard as soon as I could. I hope others saw it and could report better. Rest assured, I play no games here. I just got excited about what I saw on FBN and wanted to share it as best I could Sorry again about my speed posting.
I think the conversation centered around Cisco was betting on handheld devices. Cisco buying Starent for almost 3bil.
Talking about the future of hand held devices and all the potential including camera uses and even predicted the handheld devices would even replace the computer with consumers nobody but businesses would need desktops even laptops would be replaced with handheld by most consumers. There was much more but my memory is the second shortest thing I have. I'm sure others saw it and can report better than I.
Anyone watching Fox Business News? Just saw one of the most encouraging conversations I've heard since owning this stock.
I'm 64 years old and as most men my age I can look back at many financial "could haves" and "should haves" but I honestly believe that owning all of this Neom stock that I can afford will wash away many of those. I've never owned anything with as much potential as this. It's coming.
Thanks clawmann, appreciate you checking.
