I hope your/Banker's advice etc is not misguided on this. I stand to lose a fortune if this loses, but my problem is I bought all the hype and have a very high average around .014 with no capacity to avg down -- a drank the cool aid big time. My view is we will be lucky to get back to where I'll break even. This used to be a reasonable investment based on false information. Now this is a gamble based on essentially no information, other than past failures and slim chances of recovery. Silence is not golden at this time.
If there were good news, we were in a good spot and things were promising, it is my belief we would have heard about it already.
The silence tells me there is a lot of work to do, that silence is preferred to reporting the miserable state of things.
While there could be some hope, it is not enough to report about. This is definitely a lotto play, but I bought in at far higher prices and I can't average down because I bought into the hype.
We'll eventually get an update, but there must be a lot to do, and hopefully it's even possible to advance eventually.
The doubters have the upper hand for sure right now.
Great find Masscommuter:

Quote:Do you have a link that shows the tests for MS were re-scheduled for October? I seem to have missed it.
". . . [CROMAC] Director Pavkovic and Director of Mineseeker Operations UK Limited (MOUK) Mr. Edward Cross signed a Contract on Technical test and evaluation of Ground Penetrating Synthetic Aperture Radar (GP-SAR) and Electro Optical (EO) sensing technology.
The tests will be conducted in the second half of October 2010 at HCR-CTRO test-sites Benkovac and Cerovac."
Now we just need confirmation that this will benefit Quasar! Show us the money Jeff!
Are we sure that Quasar monies are funding the MS demo in October?
It's great that MS is making forward strides -- I just hope we get an update soon on the current status of Quasar and Mineseekers' relations, which will also entail some sort of update on the status of funding.
Hopefully good news coming soon! Good to see Mineseeker progress; great if we see this in conjunction with confirmation of Quasar's stake in it.
Today proved what I felt was true. I did not doubt the power transfer before, but we simply broke even where we had announced previously. treading water for now, but even that is an improvement!
We'll see about the funding and so on. Let's hope!
I hope so, but so far there's been no need to rush into this with past history downtrend...hoping for the reversal to come soon. go Jeff and Team!
Thanks for your and Jeff's service now, in the past and going forward. I wish us all the best! I wish I could buy heavily in the morning...
Great Post, I agree.
Mineseeker seems like the most promising acquisition, correct? But considering QASP's dismal current state (from a financial health standpoint), plus the fact that MS is itself a risky investment - it is not a (very) profitable company now, right? maybe it will be? but why go through quasar? maybe there are some things I'm forgetting or not considering enough, but I do wonder what is so promising in QASP that is going to make their getting funding promising as well? I do like all of the optimism; presumably there are reasons for it that I am not fully appreciating.
It's been a precarious, continual drop for those of us in at .015 and up, and it's sad I have so long to go just to break even, but it's great there is at least some chance for recovery, even if it is still a long shot. I'm not sure that we share the same understanding of "promising," but I hope it's promising enough.
"imminent" was in retrospect not the best language. Now "promising" sounds hopeful in the circumstances, and I do doubt Jeff would step into this role if there wasn't some real potential here (as opposed to another course of action), but I'd still like a bit more nuanced understanding of the odds here, on what basis qasp can borrow 10's of or 100 Million in its present state...hoping they will put this together somehow, where DB failed.
I do understand skepticism about funding being promising. I can only hope that coming from Jeff it means a lot (likely to happen). I would like to better understand, like the chief, why funding is promising, but there is at least a light at the end of the tunnel with Jeff and the team...we have a chance (will see how this plays out, give it some time). I like the changes made and hope it makes a difference for the better. GLTA
I'm down with the team. We're in way better hands now IMO
Jeff is a hero is without question! Excellent post! and I agree 1000 %
I like my chances, despite your comments on the situation. Sure I could be being duped, but I am very pleased by current developments. Our prospects couldn't be much better from where they just were.
what happened to fisher and this scam of a company? i don't see any progress here whatsoever.
I think so too. Jeff didn't seem very concerned about funding in the PR, and he's not DB. Jeff seems like the real deal to me.
Huge volume today, although it didn't increase in price after the PR -- but it didn't drop and volume went up BIG too.
Should keep going up next week. I doubt Jeff would have stepped in if there wasn't a real chance to save this, and I also acknowledge he is a great shareholder advocate to be in charge. Great that he stepped up!
PR seems to hint that JL may be CEO in future, a current trustee of the preferds, If/once funding is secured. Jeff is serving a vital, though possibly temporary, role for all longs now. Best of luck to the team!
Questions remain, but our prospects are a lot better now IMO. GLTA great PR
that seems like a likely possible outcome to me!
I'm still way down, but keep going up!
Hopefully he and we are all lucky, whoever is still in this! Starting to rebound...let's see that continue...
that's true, but I hope a turn around is in order:
I am sticking around.
I'm glad you are optimistic. I hope Dean will be stepping down on favorable terms to all. It's a matter of time and seems most imminent based on transpired events and banter. Let's hope funding is in order.
I hope the uptrend doesn't stop for some time. I'm guessing news next week ...probably good based on the recent pps increase and volume. There must be a lot going on behind the scenes. We'll see once the curtain is lifted. Hopefully the perpetual red days will become perpetual green days...long way to go still. Hanging in there...perhaps the right decisions have been or will be made and all hope is not lost. GLTU all
That is my average too, ouch!
Sounds good. I can't write PM's on here, but I will look for yours later.
hey Stocktrotter, good job! The rumors must be good because the pps is going up. Let's hope for a nice follow through by next week sometime.
I am more optimistic now than I have been; there seems to be some hope for us, although not out of the woods yet.
I will need to work on my trading strategies going forward.
GLTU as well, and hopefully we'll have more reasons to smile soon.
Hoping everyone's shares will be worth a lot more soon.
anyone who was able to load the boat so low was really lucky. They will hopefully double, tripple, quadruple and then some and then I will break even! That's where I am, but any movement to the upside will be and is welcome...long way to go though!
That is interesting: it's hard to know the true state of things, but hopefully they are bad only before they get better...certainly not doing so well, but hopefully there is still a light at the end of the tunnel.
EXACTLY! change the jockey - the horse is still good.
I am in favor of the new team and all that Marty is fighting for on behalf of the shareholders, licking our wounds, hoping for a recovery in the face of annihilation.
I don't know about the mud either, but there seems to be a certain amount of mud slinging going on, threats of that and so on, so I rather just say ok everybody pay attention and focus on working to accomplish what really matters: getting the house in order and doing that required to increase shareholder value over time, having a successful business, etc.
Seems to be waring factions and so on...honestly the impression I have is that it is time for Dean to step down gracefully and perhaps retain some advisory/working relations with, but let's really do what is best for shareholders...we are going to need new managment sooner or later...market seems ready for new managment, and that alone I think will improve value of QASP immediately. Hopefully Dean and his beloved own enough shares as he made it seem "we are buying heavily," "if I was your daddy..." etc...so if he does care to look after shareholders, sometimes you have to be the bigger man and back down.
It is my understanding that Marty saved the day in the past for Equus leading into QASP, and I value his attempts to "put the house in order."
There really is no evidence that Dean has done anything to benefit shareholders; quite the contrary.
Whether or not Marty is a saint, I do not know him - nor is he required to be a saint..but what does seem clear is that there is "mud under the bridge" and we can only hope that truly the best interests of the shareholders are acted on the behalf of, because if not I am going to have a problem with the decision makers!
we are walking on egg shells here. hope it all works out.
I hope this is resolved in the shareholders' best interests.
I agree
Verity, your efforts are appreciated. I hope you, the team or somebody can talk sense into Dean in order that the best decisions are made on behalf of the shareholders and company. I am at the mercy of the winds, but I hope they are managed in one way or the other to turn this around. Please keep up the good fight on our behalf, in hopefully the best manner possible for all.
In my mind we are pretty much dead in the water, and I just hope that somehow I'm wrong. This turned out to be the worst decision of my life, to invest in the BS. Here we are, a few ticks away from .0001 and oblivion. I hope that we can recover somehow, but I do not think the odds are in our favor, especially hearing how bull-headed and ultimately idiotic Dean is in his stubbornness or worse.
I care a lot about not losing my investment money as well. I care more about that than what happens to Dean. However I want Dean to pay for any loss of our investments that occurrs due to his actions, but I'd be happy to let him go free if he will just get out of the way and hopefully with new management, i.e. "the team," we can somehow salvage our investments. If we get investment money back...that is absolutely the most important thing.
