and i will take my final disbursement hahahahah (had to be said), i am just glad it stopped raining, i was afraid people were gonna start taking the life vest with them after the flight instead of the blankets.
somebody knows something, thats a lot of volume, we will find out soon, so when are next announcements for earnings, and loads for competitors, ect.. what dates are we looking forward to
down 6 figures, too late to sell now, just gonna ride it out, profits will be too much, to not recover, eventually.
email AA.com or twitter (politely) that you are trying to book a nov flight , and surprised it has nothing avbl already, they typically address twitter on the spot, AA.com with in a day. at least you will know for sure weather it is full or a web problem, or that you might have missed some new step, GL
great take off, is it just a test run around the air field? or is it headed to cruising altitude. just keep it green baby, my plan is for it to move up a dollar a day until we are where we were last week
they are nuts to get out now, we are on the bottom now, its recovering, its bouncing back, what ever you wanna call it, its undervalued, you won't find anything with a better upside. just hang in there, once the powers that be get all there shares at a cheap price, we will FLY. there are nt buying the shares so the can go down. American airlines, the LARGEST airline in the world. American airlines, THE largest airline in the world.
even if you don't believe the stock is being manipulated, NOW, you can see proof, how incredibly easy, just a few words, taken out of context, or a hint of a rumor of a comment, can swing the stock incredibly. hopefully the manipulators bought what they wanted and now are gonna push the stock up
yep, but just like that aircraft, scary ride, safe landing and then take off again. patience and trust, it will happen
the fare wars don't work for anyone, never that many cheap seats, and the high price of the last few seats more than makes up for it, the HUGE savings in fuel, will more than make up for just about anything, with lots left over. capacity needs to be controlled, of course. but many have already delayed receipt of new aircraft. everything is still working in our direction, economy improving, jobs up, new routes, signed contracts, synergies starting to happen, more codeshares, and on and on. and did i mention FUEL prices? just between "us" hahahaha i think a lot of this "fare-war" is to appease customers expectations that, fuel is down so much, then fares should come down too. its marketing, its advertising. the non-flight related fees, the new ala carte system i.e. luggage fees ect. cannot be over estimated. the airlines are killing it with these new fees, that are just now beginning to be figured in to the formula, as a very profitable source of revenue. when the stock was at 54.00 and dipped to 48, i bought in like crazy (i thought it was a bargain, and still do) course would loved to have sold everything and re bought everything at 42,) but it is what it is, and i haven't found anything with a better upside. i am not changing my sells, taking a little profit at 55 and the rest at 61. its very doable, we should already be there, but alas, it just may take a little longer, but i have no doubt we will get there. GLTA. this company is very shareholder focused. and we have more employees being trained every week, coming in, with starting wages that are a third of the cost of the ones retiring. all that being said, AAL needs to fast track the buy back. if this isn't the bottom, (and i think it is) we are really close. what a difference a week will make.
i am feeling a corrections, in our direction, if it can fall for no reason, it can rise for no reason, or so i can dream. i have had to adjust my numbers, that are more like dreams, now, but we still have a great upside potential
$AAL is rated BUY, 58.1% upside by Wall Street analysts based on average ratings/targets http://manyratings.com/AAL
someone tell me this is the bottom and we won't be here long
sorry this still is nothing compared to the BK or the DOJ days, they will have to pry my shares from my cold dead hands. i know what they are worth, and not selling. holding strong, i bet they cleared a lot of stop limits, (and today was a day i wish i had one) but hey we could be green by tomorrow, who knows
looking at the hourly chart as opposed to the daily chart helps with the nausea
i vote we do the whole 2 billion dollar buyback and close green. (laughing thru the tears) hahahahah
hope this is the most incredible BOUNCE, from the number one stock pick of last year, and projected of this year. cause it will need to be a record, stop the bleeding please, someone needs to pull out all the stops and get all the buybacks in NOW, cause you won't see these prices again, Parker didn't take an all stock salary, just to take this kinda paycut.
news flash, price wars,? don't get me worried, not only is AA experienced in predatory pricing, but WE DONT HEDGE FUEL, we can undercut them and still make money, with the consolidations, airlines make it up elsewhere, and they are short and far and few between, they watch each others fares closely already, and have been, this drop is insane, i know the market is speculative, but dam, over react much?
9K shares = 900 bucks, but i will gladly take it while i wait for 60.
man, there is resistance at 49.05 and 49.06, just can't break thru, crossing my fingers and toes, thats a pivot point and we can get a micro explosion, looking for a 1.50 swing (in the right direction of course)
anyone think we will break 50.00 today?

Over The Next 12 Months Airline Stocks Will Be 'A Lot Higher,' And Here's Why
11:00 am ET May 17, 2015 (Benzinga) Print
Host of airlines stocks have been soaring high in the past few months.
Although a lot of it has to do with the decline in crude price, the surge in travel due to a buoyant economy can also not be ruled out.
Gary Bradshaw from Hodges Capital Management was on CNBC recently to discuss his outlook for the airline sector overall and to share his favorite picks in the sector - American Airlines Group Inc (NASDAQ: AAL), and Southwest Airlines Co (NYSE: LUV).
Reversing The Downward Trend
“We actually think that the airlines are poised to move higher, Bradshaw said. “And they have cut their capacity, they have consolidated, they have pricing power, operating margins are improving and we believe that this oil will stay lower for longer and so we think that’s going to provide a big tailwind for the airlines.”
He continued, “We love American at the Hodges fund, we like Southwest Airlines and we think their earnings and cash-flow will drive higher and move these stocks up that will reverse the downward trend in the transportation averages.”
A Lot Higher
Bradshaw was asked whether it will be better if oil prices stabilize here and move higher. He replied, “Well, we think it will stabilize in this $55 to $65 range and we think that will be a benefit to the airlines. They make great money when oil was $100 a barrel; we think they will make a lot more this year.”
“They are all giving cash back to shareholders, returning cash in the way of dividends, they have got great share buybacks and we just think this is a buying opportunity and that looking out over the next 12 months, the airlines will be a lot higher,” Bradshaw said.

colleague found some AMR stock certificates that she bought in 2003, some investment web site told her they were worthless, but wouldn't those have been converted to AAL? told her to go to a bank/brokerage place and have them research it. any thoughts?
i really need to learn how to day trade. this isn't "head and shoulders" this is "bungee jumping"
when is the dividend awarded, money goes into acct?
what about the voting proxys i received, is there any importance in this, at this time, or let the chips fall.....
yeah, i just got my email, with directions on voting, hmmmm
i would recommend low altitude 5K preferred but definitely below 12K
super 80 would be perfect (while they still last) drop the tail cone, right down the stairs, and then drop, exit behind and below the engines, just like a military drop, the side door exits are a bear
