Looks like LPC will be a thing of the past.
I will refer to them by their name(*****).
How someone could sell into this news is beyond me. They would not have been shipped unless they match the specifics required by *****.
RJ- If there is one bet you can take to the bank- those teller windows are bulletproof. Easiest solution would be to call in an air strike and drop everything they have on the target. I think it is time to cull the herd.

Next Lightwave ASM in August. I will be sitting next to the gorilla in blue when the chairs start flying.
Not really anxiety. Most of the posters have been here for years and seen this donkey do nothing. If the stock was trading in the 3 dollar range, then we would have some nervous shareholders. Most of us expect more of the same and would be thrilled if something actually comes to fruition.
What was Tom going to speak about on the February CC?
It is March 1 come Friday and no news from Lightwave. Since they are obligated to announce anything material in a timely matter(?), you have to wonder why he even scheduled a call. From what I hear, he was given advice to cancel it.
This company is badly in need of business expertise. If Tom has inroads the DOD, then that is great. Otherwise they should have brought in a whole new management team early in the spring of 2012. I have been working to find new people that could help this company for the betterment of shareholders and will see if they look at some new faces. I have close to 100,000 reasons to see the fortunes improve for all of us.
Niocorp
Pros- 1)new personnel are have best interests in mind.Hagel(if confirmed),Lavon H.,Fulton,Smith. Hagel should support expansion in his home state.
2) little if any debt.
3)Niobium price is very volatile and thinly traded.
4)Nebraska should be mine friendly. Elk Creek area is very poor and could use a blast of economic expansion. Environmental groups said to be friendly with Niocorp.
Cons- 1)Rare Earth market in the gutter. Nio gets lumped into the group.
2)Smith left on uneasy terms with Molycorp and cloud hanging over the company. Should not be a problem with a new start but who knows.
3) Zero visibility in the stock market right now. Investors want to buy something that is ready to rock. or has steady returns. Nio should be dead money until we see a JV on paper. Simple as that.
Overall, the company will need money very soon and might have to go back into dilution. Smith announcement seems to have stopped the bleeding for now but we need his skills to attract a large player to get us going. I like what the company has done though and the CEO,BOD ,and IR should be commended for their efforts. They seem to be out there hustling.
Buz, we have not gone anywhere in over a year . I would expect Tom to have some news from testing sometime soon because they should have the material by now and are testing. Imagine if they pass the buck again and push the next call back. That could be the final straw for large shareholders.
Buzz,
I would speculate that it will be a matter of less than 30 days from now if not sooner that we will know the future of the company for the next few years. We have one shot at the LSS and they should have our material by now.
How could Tom schedule a CC without something to report is beyond me after the last debacle. This will be the last straw with some investors if they still have nothing to report and reschedule this one as well.
I hope Bucci reads this board.
I would love to have Fred Leonberger on the call if at all possible. He will be the one running the show and has been absent from the last ASM. No offense to Tom but when I want vital news, let the big guns come to the show.
I believe everything is contingent on the LSS using a LWLG product that passes their testing requirements. That will probably get the wheels in motion for the private company to join forces with us.
From what I gather, Fred Leonberger is our key man and that suits me fine.
Should have looked at it that way.
X, you said we were on the one yard line over a year ago. Idiot Marcelli was looking for imminent deals close to two years ago.The management has their homes located in the western part of the country.
No one questions the science and I believe they are doing more with less than any company today. It would just be helpful if they had a stellar team guiding us to the next level. I have to believe Fred Leonberger and Joe Miller are calling the shots very shortly and Tom can do his thing with the military.Get rid of the other two guys and hopefully the other player in the merger will have the personnel to take us home.
I do not give a **** if the nut from North Korea signs on with us to run the show. Get it together people.
Six, I have a feeling this will not resonate well with shareholders. It is about time that some of the big boys take notice that this is an amateur operation. Miller and Leonberger should realize they have a stake in reputation here and the management has become a sideshow that is not worth viewing.
It appears to me that there was no news coming before the conference call or the news has been delayed. I distinctly remember Tom telling me he will put nothing out unless they have something to report. He was either told to cancel the call or decided to wait until the results were in. Mind boggling to me how they are making the same stupid decisions a year or so later after the last major CC.
What role does Steve Cordevano play in this company? A waste of money that could be spent elsewhere.
I would get better answers talking to Charlie Sheen or Honey Boo-Boo.
I have learned that Marcelli and Tom are two guys that should not be running this company.
No matter what the final outcome of LWLG is, this is possibly the worst management team on record. I am hoping that there is change at the top and I will be doing my part to see that it happens.
April Fools comes early this year. This act is getting real old.
X and Proto have the same track record as the Washington Generals against the Globetrotters. They would be the first to admit it. Put it this way RJ, none of us have a winning record here. It is a brutal stock to trade and there has been only a few stellar moments on the PPS side in the past few years. If they hit the nail on the head, we all win big, some more than others.
The dots have been connected by some here. Hopefully they have Marcelli locked in the storage closet and Fred,Ron,and Joe running the show.
GLTA here. We all want to see a nice run. It has been too long. I have heard the IP alone is worth 10 or more. We need to get this going or hire new management.
Sean,
What is the definition of material news? Would positive testing be considered a material fact that has to be put out in a specific time frame. A signed contract is one thing but positive results might be considered a grey area that can be released on the CC.
I agree that anything is open at this point.
If Tom comes to the CC with just another update, we might be under 75 cents in a heartbeat. I have to believe they will have some bit of news but it looks to be a well kept secret or a big dud.
Maybe they are giving Jim Marcelli the keys to Newark Delaware.
Chasing the stock has not been an issue.
LWLG has been churning all week in anticipation of some good news and an update from Tom. Assuming it is a business CC and not science related, we are looking for 3 items:
1) Some sort of news from the contacts with Celestech.
2) The LSS has our material in hand and they will give us an update.
3)The speculation with a merger between Lightwave and a private revenue producing company.
Numbers 1 and 3 should have a muted response. Number 2 will be a big deal. At least 1/3 of the poster here know who 2-3 are and throw hints on the board. I am hoping we get a straight answer form Tom because the next update might be in late August. Keep Marcelli's mouth taped might also be a good option.
86 is a credit to this board. One of the nicest and smartest guys you will ever meet.
I hope you and Six are right . I have attended the last 2 ASM's and was most impressed when Joe Miller had the microphone. Tom was ok but had to defer many questions to the science guys. Hopefully this CC will be the start of something big.
Unless there is something very solid beforehand in the form of good news, they are better off not having one at all. I cannot believe they are using the same people again after last year's debacle. Leonberger and Miller are 1 and 1a. Tom and Jim do not even show up on the rating scale.
Just hope the news PR trumps this mess.
LWLG has become the Boy Who Cried Wolf. The excitement is just not there until it is and something major is leaked. Retail and momentum traders last year got burned unless you were in and out quickly. The volatility was incredible before the CC and then the balloon popped.
I agree with Pitcook that they have a duty to release material news within 72 hours to the public. What looks like a scenario now is results from Intel concerning our slides and then a merger with a private company. I am quite sure over 50% of this board knows the players involved. Intel is the easy guess for the LSS. There are only 3 of the Fortune 100 who would have a look at us.
After being in this stock for over four years and seeing countless excuses, I am with Sixshot in my feelings about what will happen. Forget connecting the dots and let us see what the CEO says on the 15th. If they have nothing for us, I would bet heads will roll from large shareholders. Cannot imagine that Tom would be that stupid not to have a nice surprise for us.
Long and hoping for the best.
It is a shame if a run up does occur that we are not starting from 3 o4 instead of this measly number. Still waiting on the proposed merger that is being mentioned or some other piece of news. I believe they had a CC 1/25/12 so we are in that timeframe for this year. The positive is that it cannot be any worse than last year when they held one without the proper handlers. What a cluster**** that was.
Only people to speak should be Miller,Fred,Eaton and Tom. Let Olson chime in if he is ready to talk about his customer. I would send Marcelli to Syria with Hillary Clinton to find potential customers. Just give them one way tickets.
It is pretty sad when you are cheering for LWLG to hit 1.00. I expected we would be cashed out now at 20-25 a share.
You should be cheering for the volume to skyrocket and the bids to be 30,000 or more. I know you are a long time shareholder and hope that you get rewarded for your patience.
At this point. I would hope for anything positive.
They are in the midst of trying to combine forces with a private company. I would hazard a guess they need as many hands on deck to complete the deal. I imagine Simmons ,Bucci and Fred are the point men here. Maybe Joe in the background.
This would be a win-win for both companies. I am hoping the deal is done this year.
You are exactly right. It appears that no one is allowed to question management and their faults but we have to go with the wheel.
I am not questioning how hard it is to break through in this field and the growing pains they have to endure. This product will be ground breaking if it succeeds and we do not know if it will. I am just looking for the right team to take us to the next level on the business side. Have any of you ever spoken to Tom or Jim,Steve, and others in this company? Some of us have and done more DD than most. How many of you have been to the ASM's and spoken to these guys? Probably only a handful here.
This is only a message board and nothing more. Agree to disagree. I happen to believe we are within reach of a scientific marvel and are being led by people who are not the generals for the fight.
George, I could care less what you think of me. You belong to the Clark Griswald's of the world. Actually more like Cousin Eddie.
When did paranoid come into the picture? Investors were led to believe that things were imminent close to 18 months ago and nothing has been accomplished. We have no idea if they are working hard or hardly working. The CEO and COO both reside out west and could be working from their homes for all we know.
Hell, X tried to crash the lab and got scolded by the Admiral for that. That set back investor relations quite a bit. I say do what you have to do and let the independents know you are not happy. If these guys cannot cut it, there are many smart guys looking for work. I am still wondering how the Admiral has not kept up on clearance issues with the DOD. Thought that was his specialty.
Where is Doctor Norwood and his results? I am not paranoid but intrigued(lol).
You need some large shareholders who are disgusted by the thought of being misled to make waves. The last two years have been a disaster from a PR perspective. I did like the end of the year update from Tom but it does not fly from what we were led to believe last January and before that.
Funny they never addressed Norwood again after his PR. Not a good idea.
The one thing I am liking here is the fact that bids are showing up in the five figure amount. If you want out, there seems to be some liquidity. Still cannot believe that trade at 1.15. Maybe it was my good friend George Jones and his jelly of the month purchase.
I used to own Worldcom stock and watched that crash and burn.
Not to hard to figure out who the LSS company is.
X, that was a great post. I just put things more bluntly and some take offense. The problem is that no one is held accountable and LWLG screams out for fresh blood. I have a great idea for a new employee but am sure it will not be well received. Worth a try though.
Some of us had lunch after the shareholders meeting. One of the gentlemen there said you will know they have it when there are insider buys showing up. Shareholders take the risk here. The BOD still has their First Holy Communion dollar in their wallet.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ir?s=LWLG+Insider+Roster
Most of us own more shares than almost all of the management team.Call me Mr Vegas but I would be lining up a replacement squad just in case.
Can you believe the opening trade for LWLG
That is a disgrace and should be taken down.Be nice when this trades on a reputable exchange instead of the black hole where it resides.
Now is that any way to start off the new year George.
Try to think for yourself and not follow the herd. Go against the wheel. It might be tough for a person with a cinder block for a head but give it a try.
