Is Paul selling indulgences now too? Guess I need to go nail my 95 thesis to the HQ door...;)

That was them, I just know it...
My guess is that the partners see assets as worth around $60-100M right now, and that the Bayou Boys put the value around $100-140M.
Pure speculation based on the PR's and rumors. Still that puts the book value at close to $.04-.05 per share without considering future streams of income...
OT - It's scary to think that 4 shares of Berkshire stock is worth as much as my house...and I have a pretty nice house! Crazy what the price of paper has gone to...
Thanks.
However this all plays out it's going to be big. Big explosion or big implosion. I've bought my tickets too. Here's goes...
PS Don't listen to Lakedweller. He's one of those PBLSers that needs real details. I don't know what his problem is...
Their HQ don't bother me at all. I work with a gentleman near my home here whose company is worth probably $200M but his HQ looks like a flea market stand.
I don't like calling the company but I agree.
You're asking for to much....
What is this Berkshire Hathaway?

I call pretty much everyday. Don't know if I would trust me though as I am but an alias on this message board.
Agreed on the PR.
As to spinning off Best Jets, you probably couldn't do that until there was consistent revenue streams with it. And would you spin off Best Aero as well or would that stay in the pile of "quiet" O&G companies we own?
Wouldn't you think the more likely spin off would be the mining related businesses?
Could be. Who knows? I'll call the TA later but I think this acquisition is already represented in the O/S so either way it doesn't hurt us. Either way, classic PBLS PR. No specifics given that aide in valuation of the acquisition.
Could this be a double PR day? Let's hope for something with a bit more meat on it...
Or it could have been 1M preferreds. Or a combo of both preferred and restricted common.
I'm only psychotic on Mondays. My psychic powers don't kick in until Thursday when I start predicting the end of my work week and weekend plans.
What PR? I'm hoping for 2Q2007 but I'm not expecting anything. Are you?
Hopefully we'll get news after the bell today. It would be nice to see 2Q2007. Any ideas on whether or not 2Q2007 is all we lack now to have the yield sign removed?
PS And no I don't know that a PR is coming...
P&D's are nice because you see them for what they are. You don't get emotionally attached so it's easier to hit the sell button and less easy for you to get trapped when it starts going down.
Agreed about the coal and limestone posts.
I don't know if we're a good board or not. After all, the claims of this pink stock are BIG. We might all be crazy. I know that we do try as mods to let all opinions be heard. I get tired of consistent negativity by some posters but it makes everyone think, ask good questions, re-evaluate etc.
Either way, scam or no scam, this stock is going to run. Too much time invested in developing the story by the Bayou Boys IMO.
Anyway, have a good day Coy. I'm off to church. Got to go be a crazy charismatic for a while...then watch Tiger win the PGA Championship while I avoid cutting the grass...

To quote Homer Simpson..."Doh!"
Jags did look sharp in the first half though. Defense is going good. Just need to tighten up that O-line...
Well, you can add a new rule to the books. Never ask a preacher how to bet.
Good luck. I'd take the Jags. But then again, I drink the kool-aid.
Let's see what the "new" offense does...more of the same with one of the best backfields in the NFL but no passing or will the new "deep attack" offense work? It all comes down to Leftwich. I have to pick the Jags over the Fins in the regular season, but you are nuts to bet on a preseason game...
BTW watch out for Mike Walker, rookie receiver for the Jags out of UCF. Should see a lot of him in the game. He's a stud and will be probably our #2 receiver by mid-year. Also, break out year for Mercedes Lewis, 2nd year tight end out of UCLA...
People don't have financial common sense anymore, or financial education for that matter. Those that do, take advantage of those that don't. Everyone's to blame IMO, except of course those that keep their nose clean and run an honest business. I personally talked down 4 buyers this week (and it's slow on the mortgage side so I could have used a little pocket change money to run on). Would I have loved to sell them something, yes. Does my family need income, yes. But I'll wait until I rebuild their credit with them and help them save a bit more. They'll get a better rate/lower payment, probably get a better price on what they want to buy, and in the long run, will send me more referrals.
Common sense also says that you buy at the bottom...that in RE especially, you make your money when you buy, not when you sell. And like stocks, there's always a bottom to buy somewhere in RE. Sadly, the sheeples will miss it again. They'll wait until "Ma Media" and other gurus tell them RE is roaring and they will move in and get hammered.
My wife just gave me that evil eye look.
Gotta go. Everyone have a great weekend. Get off the board (so I don't have a billion posts to read to catch up on Monday morning) and go have a life doing something, somewhere.
Our little addiction will still be here Monday whether they PR something over the weekend again or not.

Can't blame you for digging and I know I appreciate it.
One thought though...
"To start development of this area, Phoenix has purchased all of the real and personal property of A.P.G., Inc., a Mississippi Corporation whose property is located at 820 Highway 11 S, Picayune, Mississippi. This was a cash transaction. Details will be made available at a later date, when the release of this information is approved by all parties involved.
This purchase includes all equipment, tanks, pumps, buildings, inventory, office equipment, all structures and leases."
It was a bad assumption to think that PBLS would have bought something fully operational. Some other poster pointed out that there just aren't very many of these bulk stations out there. I am also certain that it's much cheaper given environmental laws now to buy one in distress and make it fully operational that to buy a) one that is fully operational or b) raw land and try to get entitlements changed to create a bulk fuel station from scratch.
I don't know if you made the assumption that APG would be our first, full operational/non-distressed company purchase in the history of PBLS. I know that I did. Now re-evaluating it, it doesn't surprise me at all that there's not much to it now. There wasn't much to Murphy 2 years ago either. But the fact that the pit is zoned a pit means that there is value once you make it run like an efficient pit. Remember how many posters said that the pit was worthless 12 months ago, that it was a fluff PR. Funny, we don't see them saying the same things now...
Just a thought. Let us know about KOMEX...Ron says it's not Pmo-Komex. That makes me want to know "who the heck is it then?" Does Ron even know? etc etc.

Anyone have any idea why they would release seemingly good news about upping the preferred conversion offer AFTER the closing bell near the EOW?
To show you how exciting the markets are today, PBLS is #4 on the iHub most active...
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeee..........
(sigh.)
I was just combating negativism with negativism...kind of like 2 negatives make a positive?
After all, it's because I'm the evil mortgage broker that sold all the evil NEGATIVE Amortizing loans to the innocent masses out there...just ask Hilary Clinton...
What do you guys think about KING?
It seems to be sitting on a double bottom and the RSI looks to be turning up. Last time that volume moved in from this point it did a quick double...

999,999,993 to go.
I love the "has become a victim" part...right.
This is no different than New Century. If you don't keep enough reserves you go bankrupt. If you build your entire lending business around one type of loan, and its a high risk loan, eventually you will go out of business...
I'd play Homebanc very cautiously...
But it encourages folks to take the preferred offer again and also keeps the entry price for said partners down.
This is such a game they are playing. Let's hope that thier payday is attached to our payday at least at some point...
Just called the TA.
O/S is the same. At least they aren't selling shares into the news...
I thought Scottrade but I think NITE is used by with any of the discount brokerage houses being a primary wholesaler. Better ask someone who knows though. This is not my area of expertise. (Not really sure what my area of expertise is).

Notice the "sigh."
Thanks for the good news Ted...

OT - CD...
The last time I went to a Jags game I had front row lower bowl right behind the players. Amazing tickets except that all the fans behind us kept getting mad because we would stand up and cheer etc. IMO if you want to stay seated, stay at home. So now I just go to Gator games and watch the jags on TV. Easier with church and all on Sunday anyway...
Come on down to Jax Beach. Amazing time to buy between now and Spring 2008...

And we're fast this year. Scary fast on D. As always our season is dependent on Leftwich. Either we are a 11-5ish team in the play offs or Del Rio gets fired.
Plus they seem to love to pick up injured players...Culpepper, Ginn, Porter etc etc.
My baby is currently swimming in the pool. That mean's I've got to get off these boards for a few hours and go live a life with the family...
See you guys this afternoon.

20% of my position in PBLS is .006's now. It was 40%-50%. I've been selling them off a bit at a time to cover my butt on this some. The other 20% will go "soon" and I will at least feel like a "free" man.
Of course what good is a free share of a company if you don't sell it at some point and take a profit?
