I just contacted A-Trade and verified that the call I received did come from them. I also just called back the number that was left on my answering machine but that person was not yet in.
Is it just a coincidence that A-Trade called 2 clients whose accounts are 'top-heavy' with PBLS? Could be, but I doubt it. If not, why would they be contacting us? I would tend to agree w/ gnulx (and most definitely hope) that they were calling in an attempt to get us to balance our portfolios. Of course, that would require that we sell shares of PBLS. So, are they concerned with how our portfolio's are structured or are they concerned with getting their hands on PBLS shares? If they want PBLS shares, why would they want them? Might they be needed, as in needed b/c the word is out that MM's want positions covered?
Very interesting.
