spalz/Posting an unbaised news source does not always make the most interesting topic of conversation.
But, is there actually an unbiased news source? Certainly, your friend, Neal Boortz, is not one.
Is sugar a harmful drug?
Not as harmful as SPAM.
Hey, I like Spam - and Velveeta, too.
Sugar is not harmful - the lack of exercise and overall poor diet of Americans is to blame.
Actually, sugar can be good for you.
neuro/Smart_Sassy has been permanently banned from ABC
For a second there, I thought you might care.
I was really giving those idiots who invaded the PIMB a run for their money. They post over at the ABC News site. I really was being a gutter mouth (please, no comments from the peanut gallery) and got permanently banned. The thing that ****ed me off is that those idiots are still there.
I have gotten a new handle with false ID - "OneClassAct". Watch for a posting near your home soon.
Cookie deletion
Thanks guys for your help. I knew how to delete my cookies (as opposed to tossing them), I thought that ABC would have to delete their cookie.
Actually, my cookies are in a "Temp Internet File" on my system. Periodically, I do go through and delete all of them - I had not done that in a while, so did so yesterday.
I'll let you know if it worked when I try to logon to PIMB. If it does not work, you'll see me as "OneClassAct" or (hopefully) smart_sassy2.
HATE CRIME AT PENN STATION?
Neal Boortz is an instigator. Sorry, spalz, I know you like the guy, but he is.
What is this guy doing to correct all of the ills of the world, instead of *****ing and moaning that the US is bad.
In the future, would you please place his name in the header so I can ignore reading the post.
THE GOVERNMENT IN YOUR HOME
Hey, this may come in handy the next time those pesky in-laws pay a visit. <g>
Indy/Ah Sassy:
See what happens when you hang out with guys named Francis?
It was well worth it - and please, do not feel responsible.
I just went under my earthlink account and set up a new one under "OneClassAct" - I went back and started giving them grief again. The jerks haven't put 2+2 together yet. Although, at this rate, OCA won't last long. Once they delete that, I am in trouble. I may have to have Dennis or your son help me.
Speaking of Dennis, I am worried about him. I e-mailed him last week with this new address and thought he would make an appearance by now. I am thinking about sending him another one. I know that he has been busy and not feeling well, but I thought I would hear from him by now.
BTW, I have written a "mea culpa" letter to go.com. Telling them that I know I was wrong, but thought I would give those whippersnappers a taste of their own medicine. Let's see what happens. Hell, if righton can get back on (after he once called me a racist, satanic baby-killer), then I should be able to.
I have been permanently banned from ABC
Well, I now know what you have to do to get suspended from the boards - I guess I did such a good job on Saturday, that they suspended me permanately!!!! I tried to log on again as smart_sassy2, but it still told me I was banned.
Hey, those of you who do it regularly, what do I have to do to get back on - do I need to log on under an assumed name or something?
spalz/Campaign Finance Reform vs Freedom of Speech
Wow. I have a newfound respect for Tom Delay.
Why am I not surprised at your answer <g>
I think there is a big difference between pornography and Campaign Finance Reform (OK - maybe they are similar in the fact that someone does get screwed, but I digress)
Despite what you hear, there is limited access to porn. Only those who want it, get it. It does not affect or harm you. Tell me how watching a porn movie is going to affect your life? You get a little pleasure and some enjoyment in watching multiple people get off multiple times. What's the harm?
Those who spend billions of dollars on elections can hurt us. They can bias a candidate to vote for their issues. "Those with the most money wins" scenario (I'm sorry, I know that is what you believe - guess I should not argue that point).
If we limit government power, we reduce the desire for outside influences to control the politicians.
I believe the exact opposite. If we limit the amount of money to influence the politicans, then we limit the power of the gov't.
Let's use this analogy. Baseball players - paid huge, ridiculous sums of money. Why? Because a few owners give it to them, leaving the rest of the teams with no chance to win because they cannot compete with the deep pockets. Baseball is suffering today because of no revenue sharing and these high salaries. I don't know about you, but aren't you tired of seeing the same teams in the playoffs year after year? Isn't it the same with only the Republicans and Democrats? I thought you might want to see some kind of reform because it would give some help to the LP.
OK, back to the analogy. Is a ballplayer going to say "Oh no, this is wrong, don't pay me $60 million to play baseball." Of course not. But, if there are limits to what you give them in the first place, then there are no issues in having things get out of control.
I think it is high time for Campaign Finance Reform - maybe McCain-Feingold won't solve all of the issues, but isn't it good to start?
meme/Campaign Finance Reform vs Freedom of Speech
Hey, Sass! Considering the Superbowl is on now, I suspect that you and I will be the only ones posting till it's over. Does that sound sexist? <G>
Actually, I had the game on as I posted. If it had been a real game, I wouldn't have been on-line at all.
I'm very glad that McCain is pushing this issue, Bush's agenda be damned....There's nothing better than watching one of their own go after another.
Agreed. I think that this issue need to be brought to the foreground. It is fun to see Republicans fight !!!
The only benefit I can see to Bush's education reform concept, is that the rich will get yet another tax break. Geez, a $1500 voucher for private schools! With most private schools in my area averaging anywhere from $10,000 to $15,000 a year, the only ones who'll be able to use such a voucher will be the rich who'd send their kids there any way.
Thank you. I have been saying that for a long time. School vouchers are the republican's way to welfare reform. Then, when people don't use them (because they are of no help), they can say "We gave you money to go to another school but you didn't take it from us." What a joke.
What are we going to do with the Delhi site?
Does anyone have any intentions of posting on that site? I'm just curious, since there have been no postings since we got this one up and running.
Thoughts???
Campaign Finance Reform vs Freedom of Speech
I was reading an OpEd piece by Tom DeLay that was published in my local newspaper today. He was bemoaning the McCain-Feingold Act, stating that Campaign Finance Reform is an infringement on a person's Freedom of Speech.
I am curious of everyone's opinion on that. Personally, I think it is a bunch of bunk. I don't think Freedom of Speech was intended to go to the highest bidder, as is the case in today's election process.
Anyone else's thoughts????
To clone or not to clone/rollin45
Welcome to our demented group - hope you stick around.
Interesting article and very scary stuff. Did you see the movie (the title escapes me - possibly "Boys of Brazil"?) where they cloned Adolph Hitler and raised him in the same environment that he came from? If that is not the biggest reason NOT to clone, I don't know what is.
The End Of Racism? You Can't Be Serious!/mikkj
Yeah, I thought racism was over until I befriended a black man about 6 years ago from work. The things that he tells me are incredible. Imagine, being called the "N" word to your face for absolutely nothing.
I experienced it first hand sometimes when we would go to lunch. People treated me different (and usually not nicer) at a restarant.
He is also a photographer and when he goes to the airport he makes sure he leaves enough time because his equipment always gets searched. I know another white photographer and that does not happen all the time.
The acts may be more subtle (sometimes), but they still exist. Sadly, I am not sure they will ever go away.
Jesse Jackson/Spallz/Think
My views on Jesse are like this - he is neither the savior nor the devil. He is a human being who makes mistakes like the rest of us.
I admire his work for civil rights and his negotiations techniques for the release of hostages. He really is a brilliant man.
I was really mad at him last year when he defened those boys who were expelled from school for causing the riot at the football game. Those kids deserved it and he made it a racial issue, which it was not.
I think this indiscretion should not change one's opinion of him one way or the other.
Spallz: Indy & Sassy
Go to post #89 - I listed it there. Sorry, I did not know if I could copy and paste it from one post to another.
Indy and I went there this AM and whooped their stupid asses - they are so lame, it is almost too easy.
Spalz -Taxes - smart_sassy
I told you, I don't mind paying taxes. I also don't mind doing my taxes because I always get a nice refund - benefits of home ownership and high school taxes.
But, alas, I could not do them as I am missing one piece of information. Hopefully next weekend.
Now, don't go on with "If you only paid what you were suppose to, you would have that money all year long" bit. I've heard it all before. yadda-yadda-yadda
ACLU E-mail Action List
Thanks, Think - I have bookmarked it for future readings as well. I don't know if I also thanked you for the "RoevBush.ccom" site - I already signed up for that one and passed that site along to others.
I get the feeling that the 60's revolution will rise again. I know many people who are getting their activists hat on again.
Re: Sassy. Horning in?
I live in rare form Much of the time society restricts this form, but trust me it is alive and yearning to be set free
Don't I know that. I love the Internet - it lets us be who we want to be - whether its the real us or not. Actually, I do enjoy lashing out at those amateurs. As a consultant, I must be nice to people all day long, but deep down inside, I just want to say "You're a stupid idiot - didn't you hear what I said?" Instead I say "I must not have been clear in my explanation, let me try again". The real me has to come out sometime.
You know what they say, "Don't take chances with men named Francis."
You know, I think that is right. I dated a Francis a few years ago - he went by "Fran" - he was a piece of work allright. But, I'll still take my chances with you in a heartbeat.
Indy,
Hope you did not mind me honing in on your lovely conversation with those kind gentlemen on the other board.
I have to admit, the dandruff comment made me laugh - I couldn't come up with a good retort.
I do need to go, but will be back later. Take care - I do miss you when you are in rare form - probably won't get much of that type of action here (thank God)
So do you think it's the story, or the telling of the story?
Both. You can't have one without the other in order for it to be a great story. You seem to have both.
Trading a $300,000 piece of equipment for a $3 piece of ass? Hey, if the piece of ass is good, you can't put a price tag on it. However, if it was only worth $3, well then, my friend, you got screwed twice <G>
Gotta run, Indy
Need to kick start my day, now that I have had a couple cups of tea. I want to work on my taxes this weekend, so need to get the stuff together.
Will be checking in during the day, so talk to you later.
Re Sassy: Mornin Indy.
But to be perfectly honest, somehow I feel like that would contaminate them. See then it would be about money and thats when it would be judged, as it is, it's just frivolous, sharing of some real life experiences, fun.
I hear ya, but you should at least write them in some type of journal for yourself. And, hell, your son would get a big kick out of them after you die.
We should never do anything for money, we should do it because it satisfies. If you would choose to publish them, don't think about the success or failure in terms of dollars and cents. You should think of success in terms that 1)you lived through the experiences and 2)you actually got the stories published.
I know several people who would pay to read the Prostitute in the Church story - I am still laughing over that one.
Re Sassy: Mornin Indy.
I really never know how they will be accepted, but then if I were to concious about that, I wouldn't write them.
Have you ever thought about writing them down for publication? I'm serious - they are so entertaining, I think there is a market for it.
Some Proposed New Rules For Miss America Pageant.
Spanish Fly, you say. Would that be the tit-tit, er, I mean the tse-tse fly?
Those PIMB Board Raiders - Indy
I see that you have paid them a visit - did not read the posts yet, but saw your name.
I don't know if you ran into the big idiots - they don't discuss the issues, just insult you. I think you might have a good time with them.
I am very proud of myself - they think I am a gay guy. I think it is because they don't know how to handle a strong woman. I do consider myself a reasonable person, but for some reason, over there, I hurl the insults just like "radical". Actually, it is really sort of a release. I think I may have my alter-ego visit there more often. <g>
Morning, Indy.
Been up all night, I see. Enjoyed the El Paso story, but I always enjoy your stories.
Some Proposed New Rules For Miss America Pageant
Really can't help you here, Indy, because I don't watch 'em anymore myself. However, I did see the movie "Miss Congeniality" and the rules aparently still apply.
BTW, it was a really funny movie. I give it a thumbs up.
Indy ----
>>Which will be sent to a few hundred of my nearest dearest friends, so they can just roll me up and smoke me one more time.<<
And what will your male friends be doing? <G>
I agree with you on the cremation thing. Since I have no kids, I tell my neices and nephews to burn me and I don't give a flying fig what they do with my ashes.
Hell, I figure they are going to get my money, they should at least take care of my body when I die.
About that virus from the snail mail
Hey meme,
If you get a chance to actually check out the validity of that story, let me know. I also got two e-mails yesterday discussion it.
I never believe the virus alerts that I get - the virus alert is a virus to me because it jams up everyone's e-mail boxes. Anyway, I would like to know if it is true.
Those Board Raiders at PIMB
I have not been on the PIMB yet this AM, but if the assholes who visited there last night were the same as those who visited yesterday afternoon, you can get back at them here:
http://boards.go.com/cgi/go/request.dll?LIST&room=abcnews_taxes
These guys are so bad, ABC actually deleted the entire board they had posted on. Before they found our board, they were at the GMA board and harassed the married ladies posting recipies to each other. I went over yesterday afternoon and bothered them. Actually, I think I did rather well holding my own and there are some interesting people who do have some good things to say. However, I have to tell you this one - one of them used to make porn movies and told me if I was interested, he could fix me up and get me in - they make $20,000 in an afternoon. What a hoot - sassy in porn - well, maybe in my younger day.......
I plan on going back - reinforcements would be nice. It is like talking to a bunch of radicals all at once. You must be thicked skinned.
Spallz is the new Bored Lizzzard God!!!
See what happens - you put a republican in the White House and spallz becomes bored lizzzard god. In only one week.
Just remember my young friend - those who give you the power can also take it away.....
RE: Indy/- Board Raiders.
I have already e-mailed Dennis with this new address. The other day, I was talking to Ilumin8er about the delphi site. He said that he had stopped by and will do so on occasion. I imagine he'll find us as well. llladybug has been scarce lately - anyone know what's up with her.
Dereleviate
I just visited your website. I think that you scare me now <g>
Indy - board raiders, etc.
I agree, 18 is a good age. At least we could not be arrested for what we say to them. That has always concerned me.
I do hope to try out the basket twirling act sometime soon. You have some kind of imagination.
Indy - did you let that spammer in?
Meme:
I'm crushed. I follow you half way around the cyber world thinking we were going to have a monogomous relationship and now I find out that not only are you seeking to attract others but you are charging for it.<VBG>
Indy,
Now, I am crushed. I thought you just wanted me and now I read that you wanted meme - my heart is broken <g>
Some of life's important messages...
You may have seen these before, but some were new to me. Thought I would get this board off to an amusing start.1. Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either. Just leave me the hell alone.

24. We are born naked, wet, and hungry. Then things get worse.
Very Important Question..........
Can we swear? meme, I don't want to insult your friends, so what can we say????
Welcome to the Free Zone Board, Have Fun.
OH, let's see if I did this right. Looks good, Think and Meme. By the type of people who generally log onto ihub, maybe we will recruit new members easier than at Delphi.
Are we still going to keep Delphi alive? I did find it difficult to navigate, as I know that I did not read all the posts due to lack of notification. I think my feeble brain will be able to manange this one better, provided I remember to copy and past the first 8 words !!!!
I am assuming that you notified people at the PIMB?
And, most importantly, Think - I am glad that you decided not to leave. We need all the help we can get. I already logged into the RoevBush.com site and sent letters to my Senators (even though both are Republicans, Spector is pro-choice) to vote against Asscroft.
