Yeah, I do consider myself lucky. Three! Now that's a day. That's the beauty of fishing though, remembering those special moments, as you did with your Dad. That Lund sounds like the perfect boat, for a perfect day on the water. Now, get out there and fish!
See ya
I'm still amazed at the figures quoted in VF's research numbers. Shows how "Trendy" is a powerful driving force. Surfers have to be cool, even off the waves. :) Now, if BTOR can do it's part in securing a slice of this "niche" pie, we would be sitting pretty.
Surfers and skateboarders ages 12 to 24 spend billions on sports apparel and shoes each year.
Average monthly total spent on clothes and shoes per person in 2003
Female surfers: $114.90
Male surfers: $96.14
Female skateboarders: $82.48
Male skateboarders: $78.94
Thanks for your thoughts. I'll keep them in mind.
Hmmmm...bet you didn't know that Bruce MacGregor is a cross-dresser. My connections run deep!
On that note, I must bid you good night. Five comes early. Take care, fda
PS...Oh yes....IMO
Hi Miss Penny D. Glad you got a wee chuckle out of it.:) See, I can do DD too! lol
Nice to see you around, Frank
Oh, man...I must be tired. That should have read...3,800# Musky! Yeah, I know, a world record for sure. What can I say, I'm modest.
Harrdy Harr Harr.....man, good thing I don't have feelings, cuz they would be hurt!
Talk at ya later Buck
Buck...have a great rest of the evening. Catch you sometime tomorrow.
Sheesh...I just answered my own post! Howdy Buck.
Hahahaha...you're going to need waders that go above your nose! Mine do! Perfect for these boards...:)
How goes it Buck?
Hi Matt....seeing that you fried the Hollen boys, what are the chances you stick me in as the moderator of the BTOR board? Not a lively place, but it seems silly having jmhollen as the moderator. Let me know. If not, I can surely come up with someone to run for the position.
Thanks, fda
Hey Buck....man, just love that spell check! Someday I'm going to be able to say..."yeah, I knew that pepperhead when he was just common folk"! I've e-mailed him, but he seems to be to busy meeting with that Gates fella to get back to me! :)
Another winner.
Hey, have I ever told you about the time I hooked, landed, and won a Bass Tournament, with a 16.75# Bass? That one bass beat the second place team all by itself. Of course, I have way too many second place finishes, by just ounces, to balance things out.
Have a good one, fda
Ok....let's run the calendar back...2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999. Yeah, that's it, 1999. My buddy was in Motorhome, see the USA, mode. Great for me. He would land someplace, check out the lay of the land, fish the local waters for a few months, then I would show up. My own built-in guide! This particular trip was to Minnesota. I know, they don't have salt water! Let's get by that part guys. Richard was staying on Leach Lake. I showed up and serious fishing was about to start. We went out daily and caught hundreds of Northerns. Tons of fun. Throwing Spinnerbaits anywhere we could find reeds. Pike to 20#s. Life was good. It was my first experience with these slimy, aggressive, predators. Doesn't get much better than this. On the next to last day, Richard surprised me with a trip with a local, to hunt the elusive Musky. Yes, the fish of "10,000 casts"! Off we went. Flying around this huge lake, looking, casting, trying. Hundreds of casts, a few follows. Learning the art of "eights" at the boat. Lots of fun, no fish. With ten, maybe 20 minutes left of our fishing day, we tried one more spot. While ripping a spinnerbait, as fast as I could, there was an explosion! The commotion that followed was on the end of my line. I set the hook like I've never set a hook before! Right after this moment I heard the local, and Richard, saying "keep the line taut"! My response was, "we have a problem Houston"! I set the hook so hard, that somehow, the reel popped out of the rod seat! Here I was, like some nut, trying to keep slack out of the line, while also trying to put my reel back on the rod. What a comedy of errors! The end result was, I got the real seated again, tightened, and still had a fish on the other end. We soon netted a 38# Musky! That was the first, and last, time I ever fished for Muskie. Beginners luck, I guess. I'll take it....:)
Next...Redfish and Speckled Trout, too small of a net, from Texas. Only, of course, if anyone is interested.
Howdy jgill and Rogue....ok, I still share your enthusiasm. But, the both of you signed up on IHub in March. All your posts have been limited to the BTOR board. Watch how you come across. There are a bunch of us that are high on this issue, have large positions, but we lay all the cards on the table. We want to be objective in the investment in question. The more we know, understand, the better we can protect that investment. These discussions do mean something!!!! If you can only find yourselves painting with a rose-colored brush, then I would like to respectfully ask you keep your posts to a minimum. Posts discounting other investors fears, thoughts, etc, as not meaning anything, while you post of the high morals, and virtue of the company, could be construed as "pumping". A simple "IMO" doesn't make it valid, nor honest. With that in mind, welcome to our board.
fda
Hey dc....yeah, I saw that. I didn't bother to DD it since we know Saints is a large shareholder, and he wouldn't throw something out there, with negative connotations, if he hadn't checked it out thoroughly. More will be revealed.
fda
Morning dc...I like your take much better..:) Hey, I've got no time on my hands. Was just checking out a new program that spell checks any word you have highlighted. Really kewl. Accidentally had BTOR marked on one of the tests..lol Hmmmm....that really would be nuts to spell check BTOR on purpose! ROFL
Now, off to work. Have a good one, fda
Yikes!! Check out this link that spell checks BTOR. Pay special attention to the second, and third, words from the bottom. An Omen? :)

Hey Buck....I guess you have a small family if that's all you need! Where's the Lake?? Bass ain't vegetarians!
Well Tinman...that sure as hell sound inviting. Serious fishing can be really tiring, and mentally exhausting. Kicking back on a pontoon boat, after gills, sounds great. Especially in the 3/4 and up range! We sure don't grown them that big in California. Always wondered what that 4lb 12oz, freight train of a record was like to catch! Yup, great eating. Reformed Muskie hunter, heh? I've only gone after Muskie, one day in my life. Hate to say this, but I've got a thirty-eight pounder to my credit! Doesn't seem fair, does it? :) Have a super great time, ok?
Nite guys...
If I'm lyin' I'm fryin'! Thanks Striper dude. I will at a later time, don't want to blow my wad! These stories are like a fine cognac...gotta be sipped, slowly. :) Have a good one.
fda
Man...that's one impressive dude!!!
Thanks Buck...and, I never lie! Shit, that's not true. Thanks again
I could be wrong...lol
hehehe...those were way to sensitive. Not a geat trait for rough n' tumble, beer swiling, lying fisherman!
Yeah...and...shhhh, he is modest.
Chit...I've got three pairs!! As long as I can keep my nose above the brown stuff I can hang..lol
Crap...I was told there would be no mush!!!
Hi guys…ok, here’s a bit of my history. Years back, they use to have an annual Shark and Stingray tournament at Tomales Bay, California. It’s a well known spawning area for these species. Biologists would be there to study the innards, and the guys from the local pet food company would haul away the carcasses. Eventually the bleeding hearts said “don’t hurt the fishies” and it was cancelled after many years. My buddy Richard, and I, were well known in this tournament. People would say, “crap, Frank and Richard are here”. Three divisions got trophies. Big Shark, Stingray, and total weight. Sharks didn’t grow big here so we always went after Stingrays. Always a chance at two of the trophies. We won many of them, but our most memorable was one particular year. We took off at the crack of dawn, and started to pull in rays. By 11:00AM (contest ended at 4PM) we had so many rays tied off of all four cleats, that we decided we had to go in to unload. When we got to the dock, a bunch of guys running the tournament, ran down and started taking the rays off. Within moments, the dock started sinking! We were loaded! No one had ever sunk a dock before..:) the end result was that we won another two trophies. 2,850 pounds of rays, with big fish of 140 pounds. What a day!
Can I join fellas? I’ve got many more fish stories! :)
fda
PS..yeah, I'm mainly a freshwater wimp. But I have caught over 50 saltwater species, those that count?
Striper, I believe you're going to love this puppy. Buck did good.
It's love...can't ya feel it?
Really big...
ROTFLMAO!!!
Pamper..then pummel! That's how you taught me, right. :)
God Striper...it's a 5 second download! You're better at fishing than computers..huh?
lol...I'm learnin' Let's see "gosh Striper, that's the biggest fish I've ever seen!! Is it a grouper?"
