Not much buying, not much selling, always the story with WDRP.
So according to you the only thing that people will drive there for will be Robert, alone, holding a box that he will not talk about or demo... If true that's not very promising at all. but i doubt that's the case, they have to give people something, else what is the point of the meeting.
We'll see if you think it's a great post in a week or so. At this point the company is really serious about making things happen. It's very hard for the pps to go down from here, even if it won't go up as fast as we'd like.
And looks like you guys all like this 's thing... It's sees, not see's :)
Come on guys at this point it's too late to suggest it's all a complete scam and everyone will arrive there to a locked door on the 20th or to an empty box on a table. Nobody will believe that right now. Go for things like what if it won't be efficient enough, what if it is too expensive, what if the distribution network isn't there. These sort of things, that have a chance of being true and are on people's minds.
Also, as far as the whole specs deal goes they probably didn't release them because they don't have completed third party results yet. But I am sure they will soon. At the meeting they will tell investors and everyone there what the internal numbers are and those will not be 100% official but they will definitely be a good indication. Another reason for not saying anything more than absolutely necessary is that everything gets turned around and misinterpreted and all those numbers would have given room to a huge amount of speculation and negativity. Even that very basic PR did...
The reason for choosing this location is to have our USA distributor, Mr. David Myers, President of Utilities Marketing International (UML), along with Mr. Robert Simoneau, Technical Advisor and Product Licensor, on hand to introduce and answer technical questions pertaining to the MCMHU.
Technical questions = specs... I'm fairly sure efficiency numbers will be high on the list of things people will want to know. They may not be official third-party numbers (or maybe they will be...) but I'm sure they will have some numbers. And it would be ridiculous to come up with numbers that are far higher than what the unit can actually do, they would be proven wrong in a matter of weeks if not days and would look really bad.
The specs (not spec's) will be available on the 20th. That and any other questions anyone might have. They specifically said that in the PR. There is no way they will put the unit on the table and refuse to give up any info on it, come on...
Those are all very good points and together they go a long way towards explaining it. Well put... I guess once you've been waiting on something two years you lose perspective. To some it's just a quick flip. Still... even taking all those points into account i would have expected the pps to be over what it is. Guess we'll see.
Yeah maybe but why would you flip at low 3s when you can easily get 5 or even 10 very soon? I mean we were at 6 with no news and now 3 with days till the product is out... A little strange.
So anybody care to take a guess why we aren't any higher than we were two days ago? I didn't expect 20c the first day but still... And please if u plan to include the word scam don't bother.
Guess some were taken by surprise by the news... Trying to get in.
They've had working prototypes for a long time now. There is no way they'll just show a box that does nothing at all. Worst case scenario it might not be 100% as efficient as they want but heating water with microwaves isn't rocket science, any of us could build something that does it with some tubing and a MW oven...
Come on this is ridiculous... You are saying they will gather the investors, partners and customers there and show them a box that does nothing. Why would they do that? They're not issuing shares so they aren't making a cent today. If the unit is just an empty box that will become readily apparent by March when Robert can sell. We all know efficiency results are not far away. But anyway, i'm preaching to the choir, you are probably more of a believer in the company than the official longs...
Lol I know me too. Anybody care to guess EOD? I'm going with 6c...
Yeah that's exactly what I was wondering. Who would sell right now?? Maybe they didn't hear the news and had orders... I mean I didn't expect it to jump to 25c in a minute like some ppl were saying but there is no way it goes anywhere but up from here, even if its slowly...
Time to grab some cheapies! Wouldn't want to be short or out of this one right now...
Anything other than official PRs and CCs from the company is hearsay and speculation. They have never firmly promised they would have a product at a show on the 13th. Or any other date for that matter. Most likely the reason is they weren't sure when it would be finished and since they were taking flak for constantly missing timelines before they chose not to give one. Which was smart. It is possible they were aiming for the 13th, hence the email someone got, but maybe the delay with the parts that Robert had to get personally caused them to miss that.
As far as specs (not spec's...) go, nobody releases them for prototypes, only for finished products. As of right now they don't have a finished product, at least not officially. Just a long series of prototypes, going from the one that won the award six years ago to the latest single cavity (completed) and multi-cavity (probably completed) ones today. According to them the current ones are very different from the original one, partly because of all the R&D they did in the meantime and partly to avoid having to pay the other co-inventor royalties.
Whenever the product is ready, which should be very soon, the PRs and shows and website will obviously come soon after. At this point, after so long with no news at all I'm sure the company knows that a fluff PR with no firm date for a release will cause a riot so whenever news comes it will be big, one way or another. If the wait seems like too much for some they can just take their profits and move on, there's no reason to argue about it. If you believe you believe, if you don't you don't...
It is different from previous PRs because for the most part previous PRs have been full of stuff like we'll be done in a couple of weeks, we're very excited, the product will revolutionize the market, some person is very happy to work with us, renewed letter of intent, etc etc, basically they included rough timelines (which by now is 100% obvious they have no clue how to follow) and hype/feelings (which are completely irrelevant).
What was missing, with some small exceptions, were actual cold hard facts. Things that may not be good news (or even news) in a strict sense but they would give us a sense of whether they are BSing us or not and make it much easier to make a decision. For example right now we don't really know: what stage the product is in as far as being ready (completely ignoring time, just what else needs to be done), what the plan is as far as releasing it, where testing will be done, where it will be manufactured, how long after the release, when the website will be up, what caused the current delays, how many products do they plan to come up with and other stuff like that. Clear, concise pieces of basic information. It would be nice if they included some details about the AMF gameplan (if any) but whatever, at this point that doesn't matter as much. All of this information is stuff they should know (if they don't know any of it they are in trouble) and it is stuff that can't be misinterpreted if communicated clearly, it doesn't hurt them in any way, give away IP or anything like that.
Bottom line is yes, after all the delays their credibility has suffered a lot so yeah, if they come up with anything other than "we're ready" some people will complain but still, I think releasing the info I mentioned is a million times better than just being silent in case they still need a month or two (which i really think, and hope, they don't). If they include some rough efficiency numbers it might even make the pps go up. It's basically just the lesser of two evils...
A drop means nothing on such tiny volume just like the climb in the last couple of weeks meant nothing since it was on low volume. Still no news, no product, we're just floating around until then. Maybe a good trading opportunity.
That said, by now, unless they are days (not weeks) away from a major announcement I do think they should come up with a basic PR letting us know what's up. Yes, before a lot of people cried and complained and attacked them so they kept quiet for a while but after a point it becomes too long. A short PR saying we got all the parts, we're working on it, here is the plan to release it once it's ready, this is when the website will be up, this is where it is being (will be) tested, here is what we have in mind regarding distribution and manufacturing, etc. No guesstimated timelines, no quotes saying how excited they are, no BS about how revolutionary the product will be, just plain facts. There is no way in more than 2 months since the last PR they don't have some new info, no matter how slow things are going.
Robert hasn't been back from the latest trip to China for that long. They need time to cross all the Ts and dot all the Is. Maybe even get efficiency numbers from a third party, which would give the launch a lot of extra kick. And they haven't committed firmly to any particular trade show. And the fact we have had no news is a good sign, if they wanted to drag things along for longer they would have come up with some fluff PRs. Yes, it is true they are really bad with getting stuff done on time or estimating when it will be done but at this point, after we waited two years, another few days won't kill us. One way or another things will play out soon enough, they can't drag this out much longer. Until then speculating and responding to the very transparent attacks is pointless.
That doesn't make any sense... If it was a scam they would not keep the same company for over two years, maybe more, trading on generally very thin volume with absolutely no dilution at all... If it was a scam and they had no intention of bringing a product to market they would either A. do the usual pump, dilute, RS and repeat or B. start a completely new shell with a new "idea". They're doing neither, lately there hasn't even been any pumping at all. And obviously investors agree because even with no news at all the pps is still not only holding but climbing, on increased volume. But then again, you already know this...
I'm buying more. Looks like other people are too.
I'm not sure only releasing the website at the very last minute is a good idea... As long as the site says here's the product, here are some (maybe rough, preliminary) numbers and the product is being released in, say, one month and then it ACTUALLY does get released in one month, then having the website before would raise awareness and make it more likely the relevant players will be watching when the product gets released. Lets face it, Wanderport isn't Apple and not everyone is waiting for their new product every second of the day... Also, it makes the company look very unprofessional by not having a web presence in this day and age. It is very true it would not take long at all to put together something simple. And even the old site, as much as it sucks, is far better than nothing, maybe with some minor updates here and there. There could be a reason for them not putting out the website, like a buyout condition, keeping things quiet, but I doubt it. Think it's just the usual, them dragging their feet on everything.
In other news great job the last couple of days keeping things positive and civilized and not engaging any of the wrong posts. Let's keep it up.
We really need to focus on the company and the product and stop replying to all the unsubstantiated stuff being thrown around here. It is very simple and will be very effective. We can use that energy to DD the company and upcoming events.
It was my impression that at that stage they had not decided 100% which trade show, if any, they would be present at. If they knew exactly which one, why not release that information, build momentum and excitement. A big product from an established company may not need any pre-release advertising but honestly not many people are eagerly awaiting the WDRP heater, they're the ones that need to make people aware. And I think if they stay perfectly quiet until mid October the pps will not fare so well. Almost miss their usual fluff stuff now...
Ok, where did this October milestone that everyone is talking about come from? Did I miss something? First it was August, then start of September, now it is October? Did the company release any kind of information that would hint at October? Last semi-official word from them was Robert saying in the CC that he needed about another 3 weeks from then to put together the product (at this point more than a prototype). That passed a couple of weeks ago and still no word.
Did they happen to say anything about when to expect the next PR? I't already been a lot more than a month...
Everyone knows it's very common for stock brokers to have old (in some cases very old) information on a lot of companies, even much larger ones than WDRP. The whole fireplace thing is pretty old, over 3 years I think if not more. With Etrade for example most penny stocks have outdated descriptions since they pick up old unused shells all the time.
That's a good point. Lots of things right now that aren't big enough for a PR but would go great on a website...
I don't know, I'm giving them a couple more weeks to come up with something, news, website, product. After that I'm officially mad! :)
1. I'm not sure that "normal" is for a few weeks to mean exactly three. To me it could easily mean five or more... And knowing how these new products work and especially how this particular company works expecting everything to be ready within a couple of days of their estimate is not realistic at all.
2. There could have easily been a delay or problem with the parts they were expecting. Possibly a significant delay, even a month or so.
3. Nobody said no news is good news. Just that no news is not necessarily bad news. And that it is likely that if they had a significant delay they would try to make it better by releasing fluff, like they have before.
4. Not sure why you think not knowing what is going on every single day means being out of touch. It is true for any company out there, big or small. With most large companies people have way less information than with WDRP yet nobody complains. Any information between PRs is insider info.
5. They've been releasing plenty of PRs until now and I'm sure there will be many more to follow. Right now there really is not much they can say. You can't release an entire PR saying we got some parts. Or the website is almost ready. Or we talked to UL or Design1st or whoever. Or had lunch. Until they have real news (good or bad) there's nothing to say really.
6. I'm not sure how it's "odd" to say that them not releasing fluff anymore is a good sign. Not proof of anything of course but a good start...
All that said, I don't disagree that they aren't really perfect at all and their communication leaves much to be desired, their timelines were generally pretty poor and so on. But right now I don't think it's so bad they're not releasing anything. And I've complained plenty of times about the lack of news before... If another couple of weeks go by with no news then yes, they do owe us an explanation.
Not knowing what is happening is pretty much true for any company between any two PRs. It's just how investing works, you have to have some level of trust in the management.
And fluff PRs would definitely help (them not us) right now. If they said that 1. the parts have arrived and construction is far along 2. they renewed some contract 3. Dave is very excited or someone else is very excited 4. they've come up with production plans and have narrowed it down to this many manufacturers 5. the website is almost done or done, 6. the TA thing was resolved etc etc all these things would not commit to anything at all and yet they would absolutely make the pps go up. Not a huge amount but still, definitely enough for them to sell at 3-4-5 cents. And they have the option of PRing that yet they didn't. They could also say we have a manufacturer, everything is 99% ready we need to sell 50 million shares to raise the cash. They'd get 2-3c per share if not more if they lie well enough. Again, didn't do that.
And I definitely did not suggest you said it was a total failure. Though some people did say that, they know who they are. My point is if someone has small problems with the way things are run then by all means let us hear them but if someone doesn't believe the stock has any potential whatsoever it is strange to keep posting on the board every day.
I agree completely. The only thing that maybe maybe would be worth PRing would be a finished product that was internally shown to work to their specifications. And this only assuming that testing and official third party certifications would take too long. Then you might not want to go 3-4 months with no PR at all. And yes i do agree that the potential for gains is much bigger than the risk here. For a stock that may only double at best you need to risk a lot of money, for this if you put $20-30k you could have a really nice pile of cash.
We don't know that nothing is happening. And investors don't benefit from the silence they benefit from what follows the silence. What I said was that the company would not benefit from the silence, not the investors. If it was a scam or the product failed or whatever other theories are being thrown around here the company would benefit a lot more from getting everyone's hopes up, selling in the meantime, diluting etc. I said none of this is happening, not that nothing is happening at all. Anyway, the bottom line is whoever isn't comfortable with an investment should just sell and move on. You won't see me here day after day saying how this is a total failure. There may be some problems, what pinky doesn't have them, but overall I think they'll deliver. if I didn't I would not waste my time here.
Lol of course, yes... But it wouldn't cost them anything to hide those failings and scams you always talk about by issuing some PRs with fluffy news and excited predictions in order to give themselves (and friends, family, neighbors etc) time to sell. Or even dilute saying they need money for production, which so many companies do. None of that is happening. It's hard to see how they can benefit from saying nothing at all.
I think this period of quietness is pretty unprecedented for them. Wonder what the reason... My gut feeling is we're about to get good news and they're just getting everything lined up. If they were trying to lead us on they'd come up with more fluff, like they have before. Still, some general update would be nice, even if it's not the big news. Helps to stoke the coals a bit before the bbq starts.
A product or operations have NO BEARING on Securities Manipulation and fraud.
Yeah I know... I feel the same way. If I knew two years ago that by the end of this year we might still not be in production I would not have gone in. But I really do think we're getting very close so I'll stick around.
You have your facts mixed up. Just confusion I am sure, no ulterior motives. It's two years, not six. For a completely new product in a company so small it's almost acceptable.
And the fact we haven't heard anything lately I take as a good sign. Robert said it should have been done about a week ago. But their estimates have always been pretty poor and the parts shipping side of it was outside their control. So I'm pretty sure things are fairly far along. If they weren't they would have come up with another PR with some excuse for delays or some fluff contract or something but they didn't.
I said I doubted it would hit low 2s before the whole TA thing happened. That changes things a little but won't make a difference in the long run. Also, technically right now it's at 3c and it could easily close over 3. Anyway, I got another 25k today and looking forward to more drops.
Pretty sad that the company is staying so quiet. Nothing about where the product is, nothing about the AMF deal, nothing bout the TA, the website, the trade show, no information at all... not very professional. In case they do have a competitive product and they turn into a "real" company they'll have to do a whole lot better than this...
It's awfully quiet around here. There's a LOT of stuff coming in the next couple of weeks, the product finally being done (at least according to Robert, fingers crossed...), the AMF hearing, the whole finding a new TA, the trade show announcement, new website... It's weird that both the cheerleaders and the people with the "interesting" theories are quiet...
