The payment of a dividend via due bills is quite unlike a normal dividend payment. Shares that are purchased after the record date but before the deferred ex-date (the due bill period) are traded with a due bill attached. The chain of events that begins on the payment date works like this: The dividend is first paid to the shareholder of record, then, on the due bill settlement date, which is commonly two trading days after the ex-date, the dividend is withdrawn from the account of the shareholder of record who sold the shares during the due bill period and is then paid to the shareholder who bought the shares during the due bill period.
Lots of new announcements from NOBLE today....
Now that NOBLE can start back with operations, maybe KAT will have some news soon.
New directors added March 1, 2013:
Emerging Ghanaian gold producer, Noble Mineral Resources Limited (ASX: NMG) is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Non-Executive Directors as part of its Board restructuring
process which commenced in November 2012. Messrs Peter Beilby and John
Welborn will both join
Noble’s Board with effect from Friday, 1 March 2013.
“Following the successful completion of the $85 million refinancing process with Resolute Mining Ltd, both Mr Beilby and Mr Welborn will bring valuable new perspectives and direction as we
refocus on completing the ramping up of operations at the Bibiani Gold Project to emerge as asignificant, West African goldproducer,”Tunku
Naquiyuddin said.

Re: None Post # of 164592
Change to Sticky Posts
On stock-specific boards each moderator will "control" a single sticky post. Moderators will not be able to remove other moderators' stickies and if they want to add a sticky they will have to remove any existing one they may already have.
Older stickies that were created before we started recording who placed them can be removed by any existing moderator.
We will work on a procedure to prune out the "unassigned" stickies as well as the "extra" ones (i.e., we will purge all but the most recent one placed by each current moderator). No ETA for that; it can be managed manually in the interim.
Also added is the ability to Hide/Show Stickies on each board; it works the same way as Hide/Show Intro. May be a little buggy on the initial Hide action on a board; we'll fix that.
Kudos to Meatloaf for knocking this out.
You're welcome.
Agree mappo....
KAT X was last year for a while but then they came and updated to current... They always get it done eventually.

Gump...You said 'Late as usual'. The are not late as of today.... if the Annual Report Period ended November 30, 2012 is not filed by tomorrow then it will be late. :o)
Also the Q1 Period ended Feb 28, 2013 is NOT DUE until April 15, 2013.
You make it sound as if they are late filing as of today! LOL
Just keeping the facts here. :o)
usafa.......2012 is not out yet... do you mean for period ending Nov 30, 2011?
Wrong again... Annual report for period ending November 30, 2012 due by tomorrow?. Not two as you say.
90 days for Annual Report. :o)
Will they be late with it? maybe, maybe not.
That is why we are waiting for news....
NOBLE's dealings with Resolute Mining will be complete on Mar 1, 2013.
Could there be an upcoming deal with KAT Gold? Maybe/Maybe not
"We've been looking at and beefing up our review process of assets for the last 12 months. Any project you could conceivably think would be of interest to us, we've collected data on," he said.
Resolute late last year struck a deal to spend $21m on a 19.9 per cent stake in Noble Mineral Resources, which had been struggling through the commissioning of its Bibyani gold mine in Ghana. Resolute also issued a $85m convertible note that could see it substantially increase its stake in Noble in the future.
Mr Sullivan said that while Noble was still running Bibyani, Resolute was studying the project and assessing the best course of action for the mine.

Like you always say.......
If KAT/BVIG did not have Ekom Eya, they would have had to disclose it. :o)
They are a reporting company.
Recent filings say they have Ekom Eya.
BVIG ~ Wayne Norris, Managing Director (NOBLE) regarding Bibiani North Mine
http://www.brrmedia.com/event/99071/wayne-norris-managing-director
can be heard @ 1:30 – 2:00 on stream
“The Bibiani North is basically to ensure we keep our prospecting Licenses in good standing, and obviously there is a lot of history around Bibiani North as well. It’s an old mine from 1907-1908 period, that has had no real modern exploration done on it.
We’ve in field drilled that and it is a requirement to keep the tenure in good standing, but some excellent results from that, and certainly higher grades than we expected there, but historically it was a high grade underground mine.”
BVIG ~ From NOBLE Re: Bibiani North PL
The Bibiani North conversion from a Prospecting License (PL) to a Mining License (ML) is in progress-with preliminary resource modeling and optimizations completed. The conversion is expected to be completed in the March 2013 quarter.
That's for the Canco Blog info updates! Not Members joining.
I can go join someones blog and be added immediately...but it does not update their blog information... LOL
Looks to me like the Blog had been there since 2010... when someone joins as a member it can be at any time...There is no date as to when Bob joined.
The Letter of Intent (LOI) came out on June 12... Then the screen shot was taken on June 13th... Bob probably became a member on the 12th as he was checking out Canco/Manjit just like everyone else was on the 12th, when the PR came out.
Stop the negative spin...
I am done with this subject.
Shareholders only want FACTS.
Like I said there is no date as to when Bob joined as a member... You say it was for years. No proof....as usual for the negative spin.
He probably joined when there was talk about a deal between Ken and Manjit. Then Ken rejected Manjit. You took a screen shot (WITH NO DATES) and spin it negative against Bob.
Screen shots with no dates as I stated before to B402...LOL
Stop the negative spin.
That blog was old and gives no date as to when anyone starts to follow it... So with no date you spin it as if it were that way for years.. LOL
He probably joined when there was talk about Ken and Manjit...
Ken rejected Manjit....looking out for shareholders! Thanks Ken :o)
That does not give any indication of who rejected who.... Manjit is a con-man. Just follow what happened when he went to fima...
All you do is speculate from his email...
I would never believe a con-man like Manjit either.
Ken did the right thing rejecting Manjit. imo
No Manjit "Chose" FIMA.
Totally agree alan... Thanks :o)
Do you think they will dig around the Ekom Eya and leave it looking like an Angel Food Cake Pan?? :o) I Don't Think So
NOBLE is in the process of making the Bibiani North PL into a Mine Lease

PLURAL 'concessions'
We have limited financial resources which prevents us from securing our mining concessions in Ghana from bandits and other detrimental threats, particularly during the rainy season when we have minimal exploration activities.
We do not have the financial resources to adequately protect our Ghanaian mining concessions from potential “claim jumping” and other threats to the betterment of [b]our concessions predominantly due to the respective land size of these concessions. The minerals commission in Ghana does not police or enforce the propriety of these concessions. It is the sole responsibility of the concession owner.
Quite interesting that KAT says 'mining concessions in Ghana' (Plural)
Do they have another besides Ekom Eya?

The whole SEC thing and two year spinoff is like the track
The robbers know which way you have to go
They ambush you along the way and steal your gold
Two year quiet period....makes you the engineer running the train while everyone just shoots at you...
The bigger your load of gold the more bandits along the way.
Go KAT...bring on the news! Pull us into the station :o)
They just might consolidate the EKOM EYA while they are at it....

Nice action-Auctions!...like seeing it in this Range More..;o)
Gump...
700K share volume is nothing...like you always say.
No one knows what Ken has in store for Kat Exploration... We will just have to wait for news and see! :o)
With this distribution about to happen...the news will start flowing. Very exciting!
For one thing the SEC did not like the distribution the way it was set up... So they had to re-do it as a Spin-Off... New record date was set (12/21/2011) and now 1 for 3 shares.
http://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/browse-edgar?CIK=0001412126&action=getcompany
Still waiting on an 'ex-date'.
Sometimes a company pays a dividend in the form of stock rather than cash. The stock dividend may be additional shares in the company or in a subsidiary being spun off. The procedures for stock dividends may be different from cash dividends. The ex-dividend date is set the first business day after the stock dividend is paid (and is also after the record date).
If you sell your stock before the ex-dividend date, you also are selling away your right to the stock dividend. Your sale includes an obligation to deliver any shares acquired as a result of the dividend to the buyer of your shares, since the seller will receive an I.O.U. or "due bill" from his or her broker for the additional shares. Thus, it is important to remember that the day you can sell your shares without being obligated to deliver the additional shares is not the first business day after the record date, but usually is the first business day after the stock dividend is paid.

Thanks for the Update Splash59!
Nice!
This NOBLE prospecting map tells a lot...regarding Ekom Eya and NOBLE.
Little Mug, Grasshopper and everything else below these is on Bibiani Mine Lease (ML)
Ekom Eya @ Bibiani North...is 'within' the Bibiani North (PL)...they show in PINK where they are prospecting...Right on top of KAT's Ekom Eya property.
Notice, that this prospecting map does not even mention the Pamunu North or Pamunu South.
And the best part is the Bibiani North (PL) is soon to become a Mine Lease (ML) according to NOBLE. http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=84308414
