Love the eyes.... LOL, I keep looking for the "Like" button. I keep forgetting this is not FB... {:>))
Love the Breeds that do that...
Thanks Al, and Welcome back to the Tundra...
Breaking News.. Zombies are Allergic to Maple Syrup..
Thanks TTT, Jacki has healing thoughts coming from all over the Globe threw FB, but today I have not brought the subject up there, just with you guy's and gal's here on IHUB...... {:>))
Oh so do we Flo, so do we... I would post a Pic from today, but some of you might get a little dizzy. However PM me if you want to see it. For my FB dog owner friends, they are very interested in seeing it. That's how we learn, by sharing info....
For me personally, anyone that has, or works with dogs should see it, that way you might be able to notice this growth if it should happen to your pet... It is much more common in Cat's though, but very fast growing in both breeds once it starts...
Stitches were removed today, that part healed well, but a new tumor is rapidly growing. Jacki sees a specialist this Monday in Milwaukee so we can weigh out the realistic options, is his opinion...
yup, that's the site I use. but remember dogs are allergic to many things. A dog might not be allergic to Salmon this year, but next year they could, the same with Chicken and all the other meats. Going Grain Free is a Plus. We use Blue Buffalo Wilderness, Salmon. It's 55.00 a bag, for a 24 lb bag. We spend around 100.00 a month for dog food
I just love the European Tv Ad's.... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10150336409527752&set=vb.209436865742013&type=2&theater
nope not at all. Imas in an article I read, was asked what their source of Animal Fat was ? Iams refused to give out that info... Huge Red Flags... !!!!!
Yup, Big names, Big Tv Ad's, Big prices. All for a Big Bag of Crap... Pedigree is another Bag of Crap.... But Cute TV Ad's.... that's what people buy into.... Their first ingredient is CORN...
but see, if you look the dog food ratings up. Purina is Crap. So is Iams it's a 2 Star Dog food. It's all about how much a Company spends on TV AD's...
So now the next step is, what is the next step.....??
Sad new's to report about our Jacki Mama. As the weekend progressed, and I was cleaning and flushing out her inner ear canal. Last Thursday, the Vet pointed out an area to me of concern, she thought it was another Tumor growing. As the weekend went on, I could see it growing like a Weed. This morning I went to clean her ear, and it had become quite large, just overnight..... As I tried to wipe over it carefully, it began to Bleed, just like the other Tumor did, so right then and there, I knew it was another Tumor.
My mind is just swimming right now with emotions.......
$972 for ONE Month, are you kidding ????
Jacki is well today. I took off the E Collar, and that Red Hoodie. The site now needs air. This morning when I looked at it, it was moist, and had a slight odor... Not good.. Cleaned and flushed out the ear canal, gave her a bit or oral sedation, and we are good to go. Jacki shakes her head a bit, but that is to be expected. Now if Jacki starts scratching at the ear, the E Collar goes back on, but that Red Head Band will now stay off. This coming Friday she will get the stitches out.
Orin is my assistant in cleaning and flushing the ear canal, however tonight, as I inserted the tube into Jacki Horizontal Ear Canal about 3/4 of an inch, basically straight into her head, Orin almost passed out. No Joke...
Orin is now a Doctor Of Education, but he could never have became a Doctor Of Medicine.... Impossible, simply Impossible..... {:>)))
That's fantastic Gail.. There is nothing like having a life, a being, a pet of any kind, that is 100% in need of your care, but that does not include Bryan... LOL.. just had to add that... {:>))
I'm so glad you have done something for yourself, just for you. Tweetums will have a Great Mom and Teacher in you, and your day's won't be quite so empty anymore... I could not imagine living in a home without a Pet, fish tanks are not included..... something that walks around, or in your case, fly's to you. Congrats again... {:>)))
This is what it is called Wildbilly. The Vet is fairly certain there is still a mass in the Horizontal ear canal. To get that out would require an extremely invasive procedure. Basically, cut a hole in the side of her head, extract the rest of the ear canal, and it's bone structures. Jacki Vertical ear canal was removed, which had the largest mass on it.... Jacki is almost 10 yrs old...

Have not followed the news today. Is the east cost going to get hammered like they were saying yesterday...
Jacki is not happy with the E Collar, that for sure. Yesterday we got our first real snow of the Winter Season, about 8 inches. When Jacki went outside, it was like she was plowing snow with the cone on. Jacki finally realized that she has to lift her head up when walking... {:>))
Hi all,
I will try to take picture of her ear today. Jacki, our almost 10 yr old Weimaraner, has Cancer of the ear canal, for those that don't know. It's quite amazing when I saw her with nothing on her head yesterday, with other people holding her. From the front looking towards her, you see no real difference in the ear, but I thought for sure looking at Jacki from behind you would notice a big gap of ear missing. Nope not at all, really. Now if I lift the ear up, that's when you see the drastic change, as she no longer has a vertical ear canal, but only the horizontal canal still remains ( a very small hole going into the head,) and probably still has some tumor in it. The Vet did a Great Cosmetic job during surgery to keep the ear as normal looking as possible.... {:>)) Again, Thank You Everyone for your thoughts and support... {:>)))
Thanks everyone for the Well Wishes for Jacki. The prognosis is not good. The Tumor has invaded the ear canal, and the procedure for that was something the Vet does not do. The Vet did not exactly know what she was going to come across until she opened the ear up. What may be needed next, if we choose to become aggressive, is a complete extraction of the ear canal and the bones of the ear. In other words, just cut a big hole in the side of her head to remove everything involving the ear canal and surrounding tissues, then sew it shut. Now even with that, the chances that the Cancer has began to spread elsewhere are high. The next hurdle right now is infection, because the ear was already infected going into Surgery. Jacki has a tube going into her ear canal right now. It kink of looks like the type of tubing one would use for air lines for fish tank. It's purpose to to keep the canal from closing, and so I can flush the ear 3 times a day, and be able to insert a liquid medication to the canal.
Jacki slept like a rock due to the injection I gave her. I expect she will still be sleeping come lunchtime.
Got Jacki back home about an hr ago. Fed her, then gave her an injection of sedation so she sleeps threw the night and well into the morning, also gave some pain meds. They were not able to get all of the Tumor out, as it has invaded into the ear canal. The bottom portion of her ear, where it attaches to the head was removed.
Thanks again everyone. This is a basic breakdown of what Jacki has...

I just look forward to every night that Jacki now curls us with me.. {:>))
Thanks Flo.... 6 weeks ago or more Jacki started sleeping in my Bed, every night. Jacki has never done this, until I thought about it. Jacki normally will curl up in a ball at the foot of the bed, but the other night she looked at me, I looked at her, and she kept creeping on her belly, right up to my face. Jacki then stood up, walked around in a circle as dog's do, and planted herself into my chest/stomach area, and fell asleep, like she did when she was a Puppy... I had to think why was she doing this ?? Very Strange behavior for Jacki.
As we get older, we tend to digress back to where we came from. Child like actions take place, even in Humans... I just put my arm around her and we went to sleep together.... {:>)))
Jacki looking scared at the Vet's office. Send healing thought her way, she has an agressive Tumor growing in her Ear Canal. Surgery is tomorrow morning... The Vet had stated once removed, most dogs live 4-5 yrs after. Jacki is almost 10, so with the right corrective Surgery, that will take her to the age most Weimaraners normally live....
Now that's an interesting combo. Those that care for meat free diets, high in Proteins, would like this. Plus Constipation would never be an issue on this Burger...
I thought right at the very end, there would be a happy ending of him figuring it out...
Global warming..
I thought he was going to figure out the problem at the end... {:>))
and here I always' thought of Colorado as the land of snow. Are these types of temps normal ?
Well they sure will be packed with Fiber.... LOL
I love Black Beans. I even make them for our dogs... Never have had a brownie in my life though...
Hi Gail... That's Great New's, especially the second part...{:>))
None of our dogs like going to the Vet, when I have the need to use one. They seem to know just when I pull up in their parking area, get out of the car, and the brakes go on....
Trax, did you see this on TV 6 online.. I could not stop laughing... What has this Sheriff started...

It's going to be warmer for just that 1 day, then back to the teens...
