Rawnoc,
Appreciate much.
sam
Shrotker,
I just don't understand the mind of people who may be comfortable at deceiving, which includes Matin I fear.
sam
Thanks
sam
why sure
sam
Would someone recap for me
1) how likely is a buyout
2) what buyout price is expected and why?
3) without buyout what is price expectation?

I do not know if false doubts are being planted. It is hard to understand why somebody would do that. I will say this though, a company with a less than stellar background like this is easier to plant additional false doubts about.
Rawnok was hard for people to judge. As it turns out I believe he for one has a good reputation among other boards.
New posters though, I don't know where the truth lies in their case.
sam
Still conceivable that this can become a $20 stock. Much more likely the upside is far less. Downside is significant also.
Small speculation is okay. No one should make a large bet.
sam
We hate to give up, but that kind of press release is certainly not the confidence builder that he hoped.
sam
mcenulty,
I like it better than vlxc because less questionable has risen to surface from what I can see so far, but otherwise very similar looking.
sam
Only if I can get sneak preview of items in garage sale.
sam
Anyone have opinions on nwau.pk? It has an active ragingbull board.
sam
I doubt if there are shorts, but I would not swear to it.
I believe Matin has lied some, whether there will be an end to lies I don't know.
I think there is a lot of wishing that he is a man who will succeed in behalf of this company, but nobody knows whether this is a good story in the making or not.
sam
Thanks Shrotker,
The most important point at moment I question is whether Matin is 100% committed to if possible getting on a major exchange in 2005, ie at least AMEX.
Of course if the share count rises dramatically again also, either of those 2 he fails on and I consider more fraudalent than not. You can be fraudalent and still have a real business.
sam
INVEST1980/OTHERS,
If this promise to get on exchange is like unto 5 years, why are any oldtimers interested beyond quick trades?
How many of oldtimers think this is fraud?
How many think just incompetence with perhaps a good ending?
sam
Shrotker,
That is good news you got a reply, and the reply makes sense. I think it is ok to modestly speculate on this company. I hope those who like I got sucked in by nice looking press releases trimmed their positions to a level that can be objectively defended.
sam
Shrotker,
I believe the only ones who have no objectivity are those who are fairly confident in this company being successful for investors.
I think proof is the reasonable item to look for. Of course the tough question is IF the 2004 audit is as good as can be, will there be trust then? Should there be trust then? My belief is partially but not enough to put most of life savings in sort of scenario. Don't wait if we are pleased to buy at $5 plus though, buy low.
sam
Observation:
I greatly appreciate what I can learn from those with long experience with this company as long as their purpose is to be objective.
I believe out of those people the only one that I can recall who comes closest to optimistic is Pual and he doesn't come close to hype.
Is my assessment of long-timers accurate?
sam
If he is not really any kind of crook at least at heart, the grand question in the long run is what mix of competency versus incompetency does he have. He probably is a mixture of both. Imperfection can be forgiven, if results warrant it.
sam
Rest assured, I wish for success. 18 million increase in shares would not be satisfactory to any of us. Let us see what happens.
sam
Shrotker,
I am willing to try to put some together if the 18 million or anything approaching that comes down. Until then, we should see more clearly what there is to dispute.
Does that sound like the best approach?
sam
Technically maybe he would be immune.
What should be pointed out to the SEC if it comes to that is the press releases, a lot of stuff to sift through.
Clearly just within the last few months investors were led to believe that $7 million in earnings to veltex without structurally expensive share increase to realize those earnings.
$7 million earnings and $40 million revenue was a falsehood as the press release stated. Is not that worthy of SEC attention?
sam
Shrotker,
That 18 million sounds still very plausible as you laid out. If it happens we should work on something to get the SEC interested.
sam
Shrotker,
I don't know enough about Matin to know if he cares anything about shareholders.
If he does care, I don't know enough to know his intelligence level.
IF he was clever like a fox, he may have issued press releases to raise share price to bargain better with and came up with a better scheme than he first thought out.
This is a rather optimistic hope. I don't know either whether he needs the mill and KCA both under his belt or which is more important.
The bottom line is events can change which would cause if still relevant the 18 Million figure to be open to change.
It could turn out that the worst case scenarios are the more correct scenarios.
sam
King,
I understand your statement about acquisition of KCA. It is a negative nevertheless because investors were kept in the dark.
When in the dark, it is a mistake to assume the best.
I am interested in your statement you have a pretty good idea of what is going on with the mill. What do think that might be?
I believe the only reason to be in this stock long-term is because if everything turns up roses going forward eventually the upside could be dramatic, but I don't we should be sold on the idea that it will turn up roses.
sam
At this time, there is no reason to be confident everything is wrapped up in a way that is satisfactory, but it is possible that the final share count for 2005 will be less than 8 million shares with positive earnings and growing revenue, we just do not know, it is all opinion and guesswork as Pual has said.
sam
IF the 4.6 million share increase since r/s was not enough to tidy things up, I think this is a loser.
Maybe it was enough. Bets?
sam
If share count increases again, I think the stock is headed under $1. Share count seems the best figure to measure this company's stock price future by for now.
sam
I was not answered either which is a negative, but the press release is not highly negative.
I am watching to see how the story unfolds.
sam
What I like is
1) there is a stated link between share increase and completed acquisition
2) number of shares currently is stated
3) shares have not increased again
I don't like that the share increase and completed acquisition are not detailed.
I don't like the audit delay which was entirely predictable.
Seems like one can be hopeful but also very skeptical.
sam
Is it necessary or beneficial to produce a formal 2003 audit? Maybe not. This could be to distract from what seems more important.
A complete 2004 audit is what we really want to see, that says just enough about 2003 so as to understand the current picture.
Does there have to be a 2003 audit to move to larger exchange?
2004 audit is required for that. 2003 as well?
sam
Shrotker,
I am more interested in your opinion as to chance that patient longs will be happy.
sam
Invest1980,
Good point. I don't know the audit world, but seems odd.
sam
Invest1980,
In that scenario of SEC catching up, isn't there a real risk that he would lose his money instead of getting more?
If he can make money without playing this game, why take the risk as the price could have been headed towards $50/share with his having 1 million shares, not a bad deal.
sam
Shrotker,
I would like to learn if you or another knows, what safeguards exist in companies on larger exchanges to keep majority owners from doing what Matin may be doing?
Also if Matin does this and the SEC is made aware of it, is it something the SEC can take action on?
sam
Pual,
In retrospect, don't you believe a press release involving a purchase should mention number of shares issued as part of purchase?
Skepticism is earned, just like credability is earned.
Not to mention clarification as to why KCA was not already 100% done.
sam
If looking for something positive to hang on to, October press release had this embedded
'The Company is currently undergoing the audit by a SEC licensed auditor'
Note SEC licensed. Opinions?
sam
invest1980 has probably I think the closest assessment of the truth.
IF Matin was in a hole and deception gets him and the company out by issuing shares at around $2, we could accept that for our future benefit.
The problem with that though is his last press release seems like the time to have come out straight if the needed money and books can be straightened out for the future.
His last press release though is probably as invest1980 explained a continued deception. The odds for a good ending look bleak.
sam
Shrotker,
Being optimistic 15% chance going higher than $3.
sam
I did this morning.
