BSmith,
I have no position currently as I was tired of the waiting and the excuses as well. Nothing ever seemed to materialize from the intentions of management. I still look from time to time at the price and think of coming in next month but who knows.
Looks like the last few posts brought out your true feelings about the company. The anger has boiled over in your posts. Here are my questions to you and and answer if you are able. Thanks
1) Who hired Marcelli and what were the reasons.
2) Why did Zelibor leave Flatiron and come to LWLG.
3)Miller and Leonberger are two prominent people in their field. Why do they stay associated with this company. Miller said we would never run out of money.
The last 18 months, the only reason I stayed invested was because of the last two mentioned. You seems to have dealings with some of these guys. What is your opinion of them.
Smith has been a non-factor so far per the PPS. I like the fact that he has convinced others in the company like Peter to put their own money to finance the company. They see what the future should hold and with the two political people in Nebraska on our side, a lot of the roadblocks should be set aside.
Not sure how long a wait we will have before the PPS moves in our favor. Will the other side of the pond jump on board come Jan.2014 is anyone's guess. I believe our connections with CBMM and Iamgold will be the deciding factors.
The way NIO trades, it seems like the exchange is closed 365 days a year. Still selling on the Canadian side today. This is getting old but let us hope 2014 is the turning point for investors here.
Well at least now we know who owns this company. Kudos to Smith for stepping up. Unless the company is in serious financial straits, funds will have to pay up for the next PP.
Looks like a boatload of stock has come in for sale on the Canadian side. Year end tax selling or an investor not impressed with the PP. You should be able to buy some stock lower in the US today.
Positives
1)Smith took over from Peter and gave us credibility. He is also willing to put up time, money and effort to get this to succeed.
2)Fulton and Haldeman are great to have for going thru hoops in Nebraska.
3)Management has a good idea of what they have in the ground and hopefully Smith will entice investors overseas to buy before the news is made public come early 2014.
Negatives
1)Northland and other funds did not participate in funding. Not sure why Northland was ever involved as this is too small for them.
2) Where are the JV partners lined up? We have not heard squat in a long time. I hope Mark can use his name and rep to bring on board a suitor or partner once we are done with all the testing. Jury is still out.
3) This investment is right now holding cash in a money market fund getting zero interest. It has been a lousy year PPS wise but 2014 should tell us finally if they will succeed.
4) For some of us, the stock commission (52 dollars) for buying an international security will make investors hesitate before purchasing. That will not change for some of us.
Merry Christmas to everyone who follows this stock and has an investment with the company.
I believe they have the JV partners already lined up and have been in contact for many months. For some reason, closing on any deal has been hard to do. Mark Smith is the A-Team and if he cannot accomplish it, then Houstion we have a problem.
I am referring to 2014 walter. 2013 is over and I am looking for good things in 2014. Hell it cannot be any worse for the two stocks we own(lol).
We have the perfect storm Walter but we need some support from funds to push this higher and periodic updates from the company as in staggered PR's to highlight their progress. No one is going to buy the stock unless they see some news.
Walter, I am hoping that we get some funds looking at this stock because retail investors are not going to support this.I am hopeful as well but I thought this stock would be way higher this time last year. Smith is not Dickie but I have not seen his emergence as CEO do anything for the PPS. It will be interesting to see if the conferences help in Europe. I think we are in a perfect storm mode but all it does is drizzle.
Expecting a big report come 2014 from you(lol).
Near 7 figures holding at present.
Not sure how that term fits in the context of NIOBF.
Thanks for posting that info.. I am not reading into the lower price here because of tax selling. However, if we are sitting sat these levels come March or April, I might become a bit concerned. Love to see a fund take a stake in the PP just for credibility but not sure that many will invest in a small company like this. Have to expect the meta. results in the near future and that should give Mark a boost when trying to snag a partner to develop the mine.
Looks like Mark is working a mohawk. Maybe we have a renegade CEO. I love it. Next order of business is to get Susan Li working for the company. No offense to Shawn who does quality work but a little eye candy for the Chinese investors is what the doctor ordered. Shawn can keep working the Canadian angle.
Wouldn't that be" My network and I". Who watches this board on a daily basis?
You freaked out and sold estimates of 80,000 shares that day and then magically went into a trust. If you would stop misleading people for reasons unknown to me, then your services are greatly appreciated. Some of these people do not understand the complexities of the science and yet people like you,Rickface, and BSmith provide valuable information that they can base a decision on. For myself, this has been another learning experience in how to let go of something when countless predictions are missed.
I can tell you that I spoke to one board member that told me emphatically that the company was working with EM Photonics and not believe what you hear otherwise. A few days later, management puts out a release saying they are done with them. Nice way to treat your shareholders. I chose to stay with the investment even though I heard things that should have sent me fleeing for the exits. No One to blame but myself. The CC on the 5th was the last straw as they seem unsure where the company is headed. All I know is they circled the wagons in Colorado and good luck to them. They are going to need it.
Oh what a tangled web we weave...
X you said "I’m staying the course and no I’m not selling I think the last time I sold like 500 shares was about 2 years ago and that was for the heck of it, I think I made like 200 bucks, LOL"
There is a post on Yahoo from last year where you made it clear that you sold 15% of your holdings. The ultimate irony is that you titled it As always Just trying to be honest I guess I remember your trades better than you do.
The link is below. This is from the first post, "Honestly when I read it the other day I freaked out and sold about 15% of my holdings."..."I’m not selling anymore shares I’ve decided I’m keeping my position right where it is at, even if it goes down I’m not buying any back until they right the ship. You cannot tell me that we have the greatest product in the world but cannot get a signed contract, issue a good press release, put together some kind of partnership, get a university to run an R33 in 3 or 4 months (not talking about the components that make up an r33), have a fortune 500 throw a couple bucks our way to cover testing, and if big brother is involved somehow help us out."
As always Just trying to be honest
Gates, I finally listened to the CC today and was astonished at how poorly these guys present the company. Lightwave is in desperate need of someone who can communicate with investors and shareholders alike in a concise manner. Bintz was the only one who seemed to have a grasp on things.
For all the back and forth on this board, the one constant is that almost all the people here are good guys. I am not happy when the the PPS is at this level and neither should anyone else. This science is too complex for most and it is going to take a leap of faith to hold on when no one has a clue when the company gets beyond the developmental stage. I pared my position Friday and have only a token interest now in what they do. It is what it is and i wish posters here good luck in the future.
How many shares did you sell on Friday?
They have to do another update to provide more clarity. That is called being incompetent.
Universities-Arizona,Lehigh,CUNY,Alabama
Darpa
Lockheed
EM Photonics
Celestech
Air Force
Fiberlogix
Intel
Norwood,Greenlee,P Smith,Turpin,Olson,Glasgow. That is off the top of my head. Is it everyone else's fault but Lightwave. We pay two PR firms, Tom does a roadshow and then they present a CC with inconclusive news. It is hard to fathom how these guys have just thrown darts against a wall and not one has stuck.
The PPS does not lie and we have been going south for the past few years. Now the team moves the headquarters to their home state to surround the wagons. Admiral Custer and Fredo are now on an island.
I remember Miller telling shareholders that the company will never run out of money. We shall see.
Wonder how long the CC will be available. That will be mothballed like all the other crappy ones in short order.
I guess we know why not one BOD or management person has not bought stock. They have answered my question that I put forth at the last 3 meetings.
How many questions were on your short list? Were you able to sign on and talk to Tom?
Where is Proto? He is usually the first sheeple to post after a LWLG related event. I guess he retired out to the patch and is huffing Elmer's.
We're on the 1 yard line, only 99 more to go.
The US side just represents the tracking from Canada. The MM could buy all he wanted at .1475 and hit the bid on the Canadian side. There is zero money to be made trading this stock though. It is hoping we hear something soon from NIO.
While it is nice to have sufficient funds in the bank, I would prefer they raise less now and do a future PP at much higher prices.
I would say the glass has been 1/2 empty with this dog for years but what do I know. It would be nice to miss consistently on forecasts but keep your job and even get a raise. You sold your sheep here a load of crapola and some paid the price of a losing investment. Funny before you took down the Yahoo board , you were ranting against the company and JM .
I like the risk/reward and Fred's involvement with LWLG. If he was not here, probably 10% of investors would still be left. Oh and please tell the board again about your seven figure loss helping the company out. You think Tom and Jim would have let you have a security clearance for your help with the original founders. You are the Donald Trump of home inspectors.
Why do you have to convince yourself every day by writing a thesis that this is a good investment. You seem to have unlimited capital so just keep buying as it goes lower. Hopefully it works out for all of us. Time will be the judge of that.
He is not as bad as the former CEO who told us the stock was extremely undervalued a few years ago at the ASM and has yet to buy a share in the open market. LWLG has had the longest quiet period in the history of the stock market.
Thanks. Unless it was Frank Leahy's I will pass.
Happy Thanksgiving.
It is just Jim Marcelli playing with the lego's that Babu bought at Toys R Us with the corporate card.
Anyone know if Turpin is still part of the team?
Everyone should base their investment on the company and not on some message board guru. I found out about this turkey thru a sibling 5 years ago and have been involved ever since. Wish I had never heard of it but that is a dump behind the outhouse now.
I believe that Miller and Leonberger are still associated with LWLG for a reason and that is 100% of my investment. Management has no record of achievement and I am not keen on them(Admiral's record in the Navy does not mean squat in a developmental company). One thing I am is superstitious and Proto's track record of predictions is a black cat to this board. X is great with info but he would be an awful trader. I have no scientific expertise like some here and only will contribute when a trading pattern forms. Other than that I offer zilch and could care less. Not here to play Star Wars, just to make some quid and move on.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
George,
What is the panic situation you speak about? I enjoy a fresh perspective on the company instead of we are on the one yard line and see you next year in the pumkin patch. X is very informative, BSmith is as well. Proto is just Proto and needs to go into detox.
Why is it unfair for anyone to question management when they have underwhelmed for years.
I think today might have been the last straw with investors and this management team. People are expecting some big news from potential contracts or some revenue projection but alas we get another puff piece to appease the minions till mid-2014.
Here's hoping the large investors start letting these guys have it. The CC will be interesting if they have one.
Investors are tired of hearing about generalized PR's concerning the product. They want to hear of some sort of deal with the LSS, or when we start attaining revenue. We heard expectations from previous CEO's years ago and nothing has materialized. Go back and look at past pr's.
No insider buying, no institutional interest is disheartening We have more PR firms than customers.2014 is upon us and zip. Yikes.
I guess you were right on advising investors to move from GIG to LWLG. See how that call is working out today or any time in the past year.
Thanks B for your insight. A realistic look at the company is what is needed here and not some rah-rah crap that permeates this board. It would be nice if you took over leadership of this board and served as moderator.
Hope that did not serve as the CC. No one seems to care anymore what they put out. It is all about revenue and contracts and they have been silent. Guess the wait continues.
Proto, you need to speak to Tom ASAP and find out what is going on. The suspense is killing us
I guess that means you are not going to e-mail management. X said he was going on hiatus so we will need someone else to answer questions. Please contact Admiral Zelibor and come back with an answer ASAP. It is your duty and responsibility as a LWLG shareholder to inform us all.
ok. have spoken to him a couple times and he seems to have nice insight on the company.
Last week you were thrilled to be buying at these levels. What has changed in a matter of days?
I hope it goes to 50 cents and below so I can reload. I will be buying with X who will be getting his shekels together for the grandkids. I will buy some for my airedale terrier and Jack Russell.
If you love the stock, you hope it drifts as low as possible.
Love to hear management's answer when you ask them Proto. Please get back to us as soon as possible.
