Methinks, just think how many Microsoft Windows Hello customers who listened to Microsoft to use facial recognition are now kicking themselves for not using a PIN, the TPM and Wave to start with?! Should their customers keep listening to them about wasting their money on Microsoft’s co pilot AI?? Time to listen to the Trusted Computing pioneer and thought leader (Wave) not a company that keeps getting hacked!!!
Methinks, proven Wave security and TCG standards vs. unproven complicated AI with no standards!! It’s really not a difficult decision. Even Biden with his limited mental faculties and his cronies should be able to put the U.S in the top cybersecurity position by delivering an already thought out set of standards!!! It’s really not that difficult. The NIST supports the hardware standards but may make it difficult to understand, but Wave makes it simple and it’s this better security that could save the world from further data breach disasters and having the unknown on our networks!!! TIME FOR ACTION not more committees and long manuals!!!
Bla bla bla!! Methinks, is AI really ever going to accomplish what Wave can for cybersecurity?? Articles like this just spend more time going through protocols and bla bla bla for AI!! More requirements, more computer processing power, more complexity, more use of a big target in the cloud and more complicated software updates!!! When will Steven Sprague wake up from his nap and trigger some better, brighter Wave security thoughts for the mentally misguided AI herd???
https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/guidance/ai-and-cyber-security-what-you-need-to-know
Geez Methinks, what about device authentication with Wave? Doesn’t this facial recognition seem a lot less secure now after an article like this? With Windows Hello, wasn’t facial recognition what Microsoft was pushing for?!
https://www.theregister.com/2024/02/15/cybercriminals_stealing_face_id/
Ok Methinks, the question is: what are all these companies using to secure their data and networks? Does the market need to be hit over the head with a hammer to wake itself up from this ongoing nightmare and to start using Wave? Is Steven Sprague in bed still or still chasing the crypto advance leading to nowhere but a cliff? Wake up people and REALLY STOP BREACHES unlike the other stupid ads (not saying who but you have seen those dumb ads). What is the excuse this time for not using Wave? Tell me, what else REALLY works?
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/prudential-financial-breached-in-data-theft-cyberattack/amp/
Methinks, what has been the last two president’s record on cybersecurity and data breaches? Okay, I’ll answer that question…. It SUCKS!!! Cybersecurity should be one of the top priorities of this country!!! Why don’t these meatheads promote the use of the TCG, Wave, TPM’s and SEDs?? ESPECIALLY AFTER MICROSOFT’s and other’s record on cybersecurity!!!
Methinks, isn’t device authentication with Wave MFA so much better than the MFA discussed in this article? Thoughts?? Why is the market using the MFA in these articles and not Wave MFA? Does using the current market MFA make any sense compared to using Wave’s better security??
https://thehackernews.com/2024/02/4-ways-hackers-use-social-engineering.html?m=1
Methinks, do you think that Bank of America could have benefited by using Wave years ago like that financial services company Wave tested its MFA that beat the competition? Is the answer to that question too obvious? Isn’t it better late than never to use Wave and activated TPMs with SEDs as well?? What do you think Methinks?
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/bank-of-america-warns-customers-of-data-breach-after-vendor-hack/amp/
Methinks, the TPM isn’t perfect security, but isnt iti much harder to hack than software security and costlier for hackers to hack? This layer could make SKS the real genius all along!! Shouldn’t he see his vision through for the sake of better security for the world and help the world be a safer place to live?
Methinks, if he gave up on cryptocurrencies and put his focus on what was once his love he might change the planet for the better!! With all the crap happening with crypto it should be easy for him to sell out while the price is still at 47k and put his energies into the brilliant hardware security that he knows so much about and he could bring his real genius to the masses!!!
https://www.theregister.com/AMP/2024/02/07/breaking_bitlocker_pi_pico/
Methinks, doesn’t the TPM with an SED work more secure than a TPM and Bitlocker?? The SED has something about its security that is better than Bitlocker. Is it because the whole drive is automatically encrypted with an SED?
Interesting Methinks!! Thank you for sharing!!
Methinks if your IT services and cybersecurity stink then yeah you are opposed to this new rule!! Then why not finally smarten up and use Wave and it’s better security to avoid this rule? What do you think?
https://www.theregister.com/2024/02/08/us_tech_industry_changes/
Methinks, why go with a password manager where your credentials could get stolen here as in the article below when organizations could use device authentication with Wave by using an activated TPM? Why not make the smart move from other companies MFA and use Wave? Why not save your data from being hacked by using Wave and protect your networks? Can people trust these companies with their security that has had many lapses in protecting their data and networks? Methinks, is the market making any sense??
https://www.macrumors.com/2024/02/08/fake-lastpass-app-in-apple-app-store/
Methinks, AI coders MAY not have to write a lot of code now, but what happens if regulations become extensive? Why not work for Wave which is simpler and proven?
Methinks, don’t you think that the pool of technology workers that have been laid off could create a quality base of employees for Wave to chose from. There are probably a lot of coders out there that would like to work for the Trusted Computing company (Wave) at lower labor costs rather than write zillions of lines of code for AI. What do you think?? Wave seemed to treat their employees well, but there is an even larger pool to pull from!!
Methinks, what do Palo Alto, Microsoft, Crowdstrike, Securid, Okta and others have in common? Aren’t they all trying to stop data breaches? Then why do we still have all these data breaches? Arent they now trying to stop them with AI even though what they have had didn’t work? Why do we think AI on top is going to stop them now? Wave has proven itself to work with two huge companies, PWC AND the financial services company!! Why keep going with what doesn’t work and is unproven?
https://www.techradar.com/pro/the-end-of-windows-hello-or-a-new-biometric-dawn-microsoft-unveils-a-new-facial-recognition-security-system
Do we really want this?? How about a PIN number and the TPM rather than all this stuff that is probably going to have to be stored in the vulnerable Microsoft cloud or take up to much space on your computer? Where is all this stuff going to be stored?? Yikes!! Thoughts methinks? I don’t think the TPM can accomplish what Microsoft is trying to do with this!!
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/data-breach-at-french-healthcare-services-firm-puts-millions-at-risk/amp/
Maybe the French will listen to Wave if others are still too dumb to listen. What are your thoughts Methinks?
Methinks, I have to laugh. The commentator ON CNBC said we’re going to get AI to regulate AI!! lol. Hope your day is going well.
Methinks, at one point Fiserv had a deal with Wave!! If you were Fiserv who services many banks would you want to depend on AI for security and have BIG TECH control that or go with a smaller more neutral company like Wave who knows what it’s doing with interoperable hardware and software security? Wave did beat the competition with a BIG financial services company years ago and doesn’t it seem like banks building their cybersecurity on AI that a Chinese mogul invented and supports seem a little dangerous especially with all the future AI unknowns??
https://www.investors.com/news/technology/cybersecurity-stocks/?src=A00220&yptr=yahoo
Methinks, with all the potential regulations for AI, all the software updates that will need to be done and the ethical considerations when BIG TECH control AI isn’t time for less expensive solutions like the TPM and Wave? Simpler, proven effective and lower costs to administer with Wave as the security is interoperable. Is AI interoperable or does the organization get locked in with AI such as Microsoft’s co pilot!! Doesn’t the herd seem to be leading off a cliff with AI proponents?
Methinks, isn’t this article a shame when HPE is part of the TCG and Wave has the technology to prevent this kind of thing from happening?! And if Wave were employed wouldn’t these credentials thus mean nothing for the criminals if HPE hurried up and used Wave? Oh, it says it was a ‘test’ environment. If it was production, they sure could use Wave!!
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/hpe-investigates-new-breach-after-data-for-sale-on-hacking-forum/
Methinks, The article says how are you going to do MFA or I think Google said that. Didn’t Wave do it with PWC with like 4 people activating the TPMs and that was over 200,000+ employees and Wave could actually do it a lot faster than when they did it with PWC but it would probably take more people to manage. Wave did MFA for many different verticals!! With older computers, wouldn’t Wave be great for the job? Wave had a lot of partners and, wouldn’t the Together Everyone Achieves More approach work quite well?!
https://www.theregister.com/2024/02/05/us_voluntary_cybersecurity_goals_hospitals/
https://www.theregister.com/2024/02/05/deepfakes_taylor_swift_4chan_competition/
Methinks, SKS really believed in Wave for so many quarters to have deals flow through to the bottom line but didn’t. Do you think that Microsoft with some of its power and other companies with better financials and Wave’s financials kept many organizations from believing that Wave could be a profitable technology that made a paradigm shift? Wasn’t Wave really the leader of the TCG? After reading the above article and the hacks against Microsoft doesn’t Wave deserve to be the cybersecurity thought leader with Steven Sprague at the helm despite SKS’s belief in crypto? SKS isn’t perfect, but didn’t he and Wave have a better idea with Trust at the Edge of the network?
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/hacker-allegedly-gains-access-to-law-enforcement-tool-to-target-user-data-on-discord-binance-coinbase/ar-BB1hNSJQ
Methinks, thank you for your post!! Check this article/post out. Isn’t it Better late than never to get Wave!!!
Methinks, I just watched a government guest on CNBC say that the SEC is making it a requirement to report a cyberattack within 4 days. We have this war going on. What GOOD IS THAT REQUIREMENT GOING TO DO?? Don’t we need the president to stand up with all the technology companies in the TCG and have the TPMs being turned on rather than have money continued to be dumped down the AI hole. The TCG has had 20 years of proven experience and AI has regulations to go through and there are questions as to whether AI can even be monetized let alone provide for proper security!! What are your thoughts while Iran could be hitting us where it really hurts?
Never mind all the complex software upgrades that AI will have to go through since it is so COMPLICATED!!!
Methinks, Wave typically identifies one machine at a time with the TPM and that’s why Wave uses device authentication. I’m not sure how the TPM spreads itself out amongst other devices or how that works?? Does Google try to spread the identification by using software? One TPM per device seemed to work very well with PwC!! I’m sure the people at Wave know this in better detail.
Methinks, here is what chromebooks are having to do without having a hard drive built in!! Maybe you could buy an external hard drive for yours!!
https://www.androidpolice.com/best-external-ssds-chromebooks/
Methinks, there was a point in the cycle where all SSDs were SEDs and just need to be activated and managed by the experts who manage and activate all the different drives….People wake up Wave is the expert!!! And they should have many great partners like Ingram micro, Dell, Lenovo, Synnex etc. etc. I believe HPE!! Let’s make the world a better, safer place!!! Call on the experts. Call up Wave!!!
SEDs have many advantages over Bitlocker!!!
Methinks, have Trust at the Edge of the network makes for a much smaller target size than the CLOUD and their is about 500Gb storage on my old Windows 7 computer. If I was in business and traveling I’d probably want to replace the hard drive with a nice Samsung SED SSD!! I do believe that 1 terabytes are probably reasonable in cost or a 500GB gives a lot of space too at probably an even more reasonable cost!!
Methinks, Wave works with Microsoft, but seeing how they are the expert at managing and turning on all the different TPMs, one would think that Wave wouldn’t want to be a Microsoft only shop and Google would probably love to have Wave on board!!! Google and Microsoft are part of the TCG and Google chromebook are cheaper, but they should diversify their notebook offerings outside cloud only!! JMO
WOW Methinks, what are we coming to?
https://news.yahoo.com/not-hal-microsoft-board-member-102512989.html
Methinks, the US and UK keep air strikes happening! How safe is our data and networks with current cybersecurity and unproven AI? Isn’t it time for action with security that works at scale with Wave or do we want to take a wait and see approach?
Are there still a lot of Windows 7 computers in the world that need to be protected with Wave and an activated TPM? Methinks, please check out the article below!!!
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7#:~:text=As%20of%202024%2C%20just%203,most%20popular%20in%20some%20countries.
Dell back to work?
https://www.theregister.com/2024/02/03/dell_return_to_work/
Methinks, with the government possibly having a lot of Older Dell computers wouldn’t you think that they would want to quickly protect the government’s computers with Wave before they upgrade so that nation states don’t hack the government’s computers and networks before that happens. Windows 7 do last a long time!! Dell at one point was tight with Wave!! Or the government could try AI and wait to figure out all the new regulations with it or just get the job done with Wave before the Chinese protects its Lenovo computers with Wave? How much is unproven AI going to cost? Isn’t business first come first serve in America? Or in the UK? Thank you for your thoughts on Steven Sprague!! Couldn’t he become the comeback Co-CEO with Bill Solms Or Bill Solms being the COO? They are both brilliant, but I think Steven had the biggest passion for Wave!!! JMO
Nice Methinks!!! A little off topic but have an iphone10 and it is great, but why would I want to upgrade if my phone does everything I need, plus it seems like the lithium battery could last forever!! Does it really degrade or does APPLE software mess it up? I don’t know. But anyway if you have an iPhone and lose it and have a savings account with Apple, how do you get your money back? I guess I believe that other than Wave investors a LOT MORE people should have been listening and paying attention to Steven Sprague!! I think crypto has a lot of seizing, hacking, energy use for mining and suing going on that Steven Sprague should come back to his old passion - Wave and the TPM!!! What do you think?
Methinks, what is the risk of turning on TPMs being turned on now versus trying to continue with our current cybersecurity? Well not using all TPMs in organizations has resulted in how many data breaches and data held for ransom? AI is unproven, why don’t we use this hardware technology that is proven when the world continues to suffer with current cybersecurity and the illusions of AI?
Methinks, where is AI going with new computers? With many corporations depending on AI for everything!! It was interesting to see the Bloomberg interview with the CEO of NVIDIA. On one of the questions he didn’t seem to have a good answer that AI was going to be able to replace human thinking in the next 10 years and the STREET seems to be banking on AI now?! Anyway, he didn’t seem real confident or maybe a little nervous about answering that question. Wave has been proven in companies like PwC. With the lack of conviction by the NVIDIA CEO wouldn’t you think that STEVEN SPRAGUE’s passion for Wave’s technology could give this world a better sense of direction with hardware security (TPM) than Microsoft’s Ai copilot results. Why would an organization spend money on something that doesn’t work effectively when they could use Wave and the TPM?
First come first serve right???
