148 weeks elapsed pretty quick!
Shouldn’t take too long to fill the rest of the positions for the upcoming study, especially with the latest update. Patience, accumulation, and quality PRs for the win.
Now, after all these years, more patients will finally have a chance at returning to a sense of normalcy.
It’d be cool if Aurora said, “Forget CocaCola...
...we’ll go with Neutrisci instead.”

Older news, but...
... given their partnership with Nutritional High and the market for edibles (including BEVERAGES), this is a pretty nice bit:

It’s been a few years, but this is for real.
Always wanted to post it, so here goes...
MNKD aggressively passed the 10, 50, and 200 MDA lines.
Bottom line is that we have the goods. (Small molecule with a solid safety profile AND effective for stabilizing the mitochondrial functions at the cellular level.)
Feuerstein already hot on the bashing button.
Amyloid Schmamyloid!
All these megapharmas STILL throwing BILLIONS at amyloid plaque...only to fail.
Why?! Because they’re downstream. Like ‘below the waterfall’ downstream.
At least Anavex addresses the mitochondrial, earlier stage, malfunctioning.
Upstream solutions for the win!
Rett Syndrome trials advancing soon?

Parkinson’s Disease trials advancing soon?

Sure would be swell to have $800K on hand for bolstering a stock position!
https://www.nasdaq.com/press-release/novavax-to-present-clinical-data-on-rsv-f-and-nanoflu-vaccines-at-world-vaccine-congress-20180402-00483
Considering the positive ramifications of both vaccines towards respiratory tract protection, and knowing what else they have in their pipeline (MERS, Rabies, Ebola, et al), I think we’re looking at the departure from egg-based vaccines. Pretty significant change after the last hundred years!
Wish the NanoFlu shot had been available last week...
BS
This is textbook high frequency trading to drive the stock price down in order for shorts to cover.
THAT is manipulation.
Tick-tock...
Anavex 2-73. Remyelination. Biogen stock down 100 points. Multiple Sclerosis. Wayne State University. Dr. Robert P. Lisak.
Right now...
I’d be 100% down with getting shot up with NanoFlu and/or Prepare/Resolve.
Get all titered!
Genuinely interested in MS/Biogen findings...
It’s been almost 1 and 1/2 years since the announcement.

Could Biogen be comparing all the compounds it may have on hand, or those it may be acquiring, against Anavex 2-73? Was there a definitive timeline/endpoint for the material transfer agreement? Since any information relevant to the MTA has been nonexistent, we can only speculate on possibilities. Seems like it could be the jack in the box. (Hopefully for the best.)

Projected endpoint for the A-ONE study?
Was enrollment completed in OCT or NOV?
Trial length was slated for 3 months. I think there will be some positive A1C outcomes.
Not focusing on the day. This year the platform will come online and the efforts of those involved will prove VLP/nanotechnologies as viable defenses against infectious diseases. No longer reliant upon egg-based formulae. Widespread vaccination capability without the ultra low temperature requirements.

H3N2 strain
From August...regarding NanoFlu. We’re just sitting on a solution. <cough>
In a head-to-head comparison against standard-dose and high-dose (HD) inactivated influenza vaccines in ferrets, NanoFlu elicited higher HAI and MN antibody responses exceeding those induced by the high-dose vaccine against recent (homologous) A(H3N2) by 7-fold, A(H1N1) by 26-fold, and B strain viruses by 2-fold. Additionally, NanoFlu induced superior protection in a ferret challenge model against a homologous and a 10-year old drifted influenza strain spanning over a decade.

After that? Unleash the pipeline!

That, coupled with a mergers and acquisitions push, seems favorable for AVXL.
Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and MS? We have those kinds of goods AND MORE.
Feels like some final chess maneuvers are in the works.
Positioned for record highs.
Love how Mr. Frazier and company have put far-reaching partnerships into place for long-term growth. Plenty of good news to come, between California’s current legislation and, pretty soon, Canada’s.
Solid.

Anavex Life Sciences IS the UPSTREAM solution.
The "River Story" is a common way to describe primary prevention. This story is also often called "The Upstream Story." It highlights the need to address the roots causes of a health problem. Some attribute it to the community organizer Saul Alinsky. Some people refer to it as a traditional story or as the "public health parable."
Examples
To introduce "Primary Prevention" I tell the "upstream/downstream" story, then using two pieces of tape or a length of rope or something, show a continuum (river) on the floor, and ask people to move to where they think an example of prevention belongs - you can either read the examples aloud and have everyone move for each one (my preferred way, it's more kinesthetic and it fosters discussion) or hand out cards with different examples on them and each person only stands in one spot (where they think their example belongs). You can insert "secondary prevention" into the story, before the rescuers head upstream (primary prevention). "The rescuers notice that while there are too many babies coming floating down the river to save them all, the chubby ones float pretty well, so they focus on pulling out the skinny ones. One of the rescuers jumps in and starts teaching the babies in the river how to swim." (Janey Skinner)
"Imagine a large river with a high waterfall. At the bottom of this waterfall hundreds of people are working frantically trying to save those who have fallen into the river and have fallen down the waterfall, many of them drowning. As the people along the shore are trying to rescue as many as possible one individual looks up and sees a seemingly never-ending stream of people falling down the waterfall and begins to run upstream. One of other rescuers hollers, "Where are you going? There are so many people that need help here." To which the man replied, "I'm going upstream to find out why so many people are falling into the river." Saul Alinsky, in Shelden & Macallair
