I hope that's exactly what Pluristem is doing in Israel and Germany.
My only concern is that some unsavory characters peddling stem cells may in fact undermine the credibility of the concept. That's why I'm hoping for success for Cellularity (although I hope we get there first).
"999" seems to be running out of original material!! I think he posted this very same message yesterday, and before... many times, LOL!
to Mr.poop and pootential,
Most of what "999" said is misleading or outright false (ex: we do have partners, we have vast experience, etc.)
What "999" doesn't understand is that given the novelty of MSCs as part of the medical toolbox, any proof of concept is good for ALL players in the field, and as FDA says, our MSCs may in fact have greater efficacy.
I really hope that Athersys is successful, good for patients, good for Pluristem!!
PS: 999 says: Right down the toilet where all the poop and pootential belong
One can only wish he would apply that principle to his posts.
The CEO/founder of ATHX was on Fox about an hour ago.
They have fast-track status for their stem cells, based on a double blind study for ARDS. He said the results were very promising, with the non-placebo patients doing much better (mortality, quality of life).
He did not quantify the results, and said that they're in conversation with the FDA to do an efficacy study on Covid patients, which seems to imply that they have not done so yet.
I find this very encouraging. Any recognition of stem cells is generally good for Pluristem (investment community awareness), and I do believe that it increases the plausibility of other companies (like Pluristem) having an effective medicine in the works.
I may well be that we're ahead of ATHX in terms of actually using it in the clinic on Covid 19 patients.

If it works, the FDA will be very interested!
I think the possibilities are beginning to penetrate the consciousness of a small segment of the investment community. Wherever we finish today, I think it's a preview of near term reality. Imagine what will happen if and when there's news of efficacy in Covid 19!
