The PSTI cells may have a niche function --- for the small percentage of patients who get so ill that their lungs are badly damages

Way too early to be that specific in how any therapeutic agent will be used.

Even if HCQ is very effective (and I do hope it is), there will be patients for whom it either doesn't work, or there are contraindications. If PLX cells are useful for 5 percent of covid patients, it would be huge for Pluristem.

Also, note that lung inflamation/pneumonia is not a new covid phenomena. A new therapeutic in that domain would be a major new tool for helping many patients.

If it works for the covid patients now, it will be

the proof of concept that would be so helpful in other diseases where tissue is damaged


I wouldn't underestimate the impact of that!
