Thanks for your insights. The interaction between you and first the bashers, and then the fans is entertaining as well as informative.
Silver continues to rise overnight. It's 9.68 as I type this. The highly geared mining stocks and the juniors will be worth watching/trading today, imo.
CDE is a silver miner with too many shares and high costs. CDE lags the other silver producers like PAAS, SSRI, WTZ, BVN and SLW. (ABX, FCX, AEM and GG produce large amounts of silver and also provide exposure to gold and in some cases copper). They all moved recently as silver attacked and finally broke resistance around 9.50, hitting multi-decade highs. Silver is likely moving now due to the recent progress toward commencement of a silver ETF. I like PAAS and SSRI in this area longer term, but traded CDE today for a few coins. The volume was great, but the float is huge and it takes a big volume day to get this kind of price action.
Thanks, the price is attacking 1.50 now. Hopefully, the soap opera will go away soon.
CPTC announced their first sale to China. The stock has been moving up, probably as word leaked. Any ideas on how far this could go?
The driver was the conference call held after the close. But the price fell back to the 3.10 area and my ECN screen quit posting the trades, just kept moving the bid/ask lower. Strange things were going on today with quotes. If IVAN can ink some deals soon, especially joint ventures, then they are for real.
Let your winners run, imo. TRE is climbing too. Spot gold broke above the last swing high today. I like to use trailing stops on trending stocks and try to catch as much of the move as possible. just my two cents though..it's never wrong to take a profit.

It's there. You may have to input the symbol instead of using links.
TRE will likely break 6 today...but is looking pretty extended.
TRE huggers are having another good day.
TRE!!! The stock is up 24% today. Ye-haaaah.
Compare PAAS with other silver miners like SSRI, WTZ, GRS, and my favorite SLW. http://stockcharts.com/webcgi/perf.html?$SILVER,PAAS,GRS,SSRI,WTZ,SLW
GG bought WHT, so you get low cost gold with silver now.
So post the links yourself and clear the air about both who Cornerstone is and what the details of their offer are. So far you boys are all hat and no cattle. Also, give us the physical address of your store front or office and how about a website address too.
Spot gold moves over $502. <eom>
TRE and SLW
TRE made a solid move today on heavy volume. It's a gold royalty company. I think it meets the criteria for a boosher. ELN finally powered up into the huge gap created when their MS drug tysabri was pulled. They were upgraded today. This one has based a long time, is it still considered a "bottom" call?
On a weekly chart, both just made impressive runs, then corrected and look good to go. GG mines gold and silver and copper, RGLD is a royalty company. They have very different business models. Compare the charts with TRE, another royalty company that blasted off this week and is close to breaking out past the 52 week high.

USGL and TRE in the gold sector have booshed. I like CDE. The dollar has fallen on bad econ news and gold/silver are up nicely.
Thanks
SYNM has a process for converting natural gas to diesel. Gas to liquids, GTL, is something that all of the majors can do. SYNM has taken the idea one step further by creating a floating plant to convert gas. They are part of a drilling effort offshore Nigeria. If the well hits, they will convert the gas that would have been flared off, wasted. To my knowledge they have nothing to do with coal. For that see RTK among others.
Returning personnel found no significant damage, owner and operator Sabine Pipe Line said on its web site. The Henry Hub is open again, ending the force majeure condition.
It means the delivery into the August contracts will be delayed because the Henry Hub has been shutdown. The hub is the pricing point for natgas futures traded on the NYMEX. It connects with nine interstate and four intrastate pipelines. Once the hub is back in operation, deliveries will continue.
Search Marketwatch for more info.
CNR posted some positive news and is moving
I think that is correct. I'm not a CPA. That monthly boost to the account is nice.
I've held PGH for a couple of years. Be aware of the tax complications of owning a Canadian royalty trust. See also PVX in Canada and PBT and SJT in the US.
CDE is moving on heavy volume. USGL and TRE are still moving up.
Mining shares may not move until after the FOMC announcement this afternoon. Also, we get treasury and trade deficits this week and those may affect currencies and precious metals.
RB is running. I had to delete cookies to get back in. RB is running on chewing gum and bailing wire.
My A/C repairman told me about USGL. Is that the same as the shoe shine boy? lol I'm watching it as it pulls back and may get some next week. There is something going on in Nevada and Novagold seems to be in on it too. Gotsta do my DD on it, but it looks like fun.
The seasonal chart for gold turns up this month. Here are two seasonal charts, one for 26 years that omits the latest bull market data. The other is updated. The author answers emails.

See also the charts of USGL and TRE. The XAU and HUI broke out today.
Mining shares are booshing. USGL leads the pack. TRE looking good.
The dollar is falling pretty hard overnight. Gold is up. Silver needs to get above 7.25. Oil is over 61 bucks. I like TRE for a possible boosh. WTZ,PAAS,SSRI, CDE are silver plays and they led the miners Friday. ABP, EGY and TGA are on my screen for oil/gas. CDE may finally get untracked.
Here is a quote screen for oil/gold/silver and indices that is free and nearly real time. http://www.fxstreet.com/nou/gci/gciindices.asp
HUI chart with some ideas http://www.geocities.com/dsissom/charts/HUITEST.jpg
I thought the chart was good, but the volume was puny. So today they find 5 million to trade? The 10 day avg vol is 66,750 and the 90 day avg vol is 118,679. What the heck?
That's a nice chart on GIGA, but the volume is so low that you could singlehandedly cause it to "boosh". Pushing it up would be fun, getting out might be tricky.
I'd like to see more volume and 2.70 area. But at least it quit falling.
AKS - surging on heavy volume and rumors (JAGfn) of a takeover by X. The short pos as of 10-Jun was 25 million shares.
CDE is moving up as the dollar falls.
We have breached the wall, Sire, what are your orders?
Well, it's 2.20 now. ;)
