Is it just me or is it obvious that:
in the July 9th PR -
Passing the IT&E portion of TSA testing = TSA approval status for checkpoint
...now just waiting for qualification!
I can appreciate the skepticism...on GSA the sniffer goes for 24,800...this is as cheap as it gets as the us government negotiates the best deal possible...total of 3.8 million...the last 3.5 million deal included b220 which is not mentioned in this deal...likely a different deal...I would expect that the company has the choice of PRing before or after a shipment...I don't need wow just evidence of accelerated growth...go imsc...short or long...I'll take my chances as a long...if you're caught in a short squeeze, game is over!

It's on it's way buff...
This is exciting news...news release of contract was sept 5th and now this show up...according to the Internet each QS h150 is 39000 hence order is about 6 million...I guess they don't have to pr until shipment done...this with qualification and approval for checkpoint willake a splash...bet there are also a bunch of small sales that werent PRed as NIST sale was also not PRed

I don't believe that frustration has too many definitions.
It is not that the company is not executing on it's plans, the fact that they are hiring and increasing capitalization/infrastructure is likely a good thing.
The frustration that comes about is the lack of transparency and poor handling of investor expectations. PRs are remarkably vague, CC are filled with self praise and lack of color on guidance. Daryl Jones states that pipeline is "tremendous." Timelines are off, McGann said 4 months "at most" for qualification. If you don't know with a certain amount of certainty then keep your mouth shut. By "many"...listen to Glenn's 10/12 CC, even he said he has received e-mails with investors expressing frustration. Tire of the self praising...just deliver results. I believe that things will eventually come about, just wish management did a better job with PRs and managing expectations.
GLTA,

The next CC is your chance to call in and express these thoughts in a tactful way...your frustration is felt by many.
GLTA,
KB
Hard to tell what he means by that.
Is he referring to the 3.5 million order or have there been new orders.
Is it possible that there have been significant orders that have not been released because of NDA? Is the company still obligated to at least PR the amount but not the company name as it would still be a material event?
It looks like this PR is strategic and Glenn is making some point, but like BB said, stop the innuendos and just deliver the goods. We'll find out during the CC.
GLTA,

It will be interesting to see what is said at the next CC.
The company has already sold to US government agencies in past.
Still optimistic that we will get both cargo qualification and checkpoint approval this month. The company continues to hire and contract out for production in spite of increasing space. It's coming regardless of the fear mongering that occurs on message boards.

Does anyone know a link to listen to the last CC, it got erased from yahoo. Thanks.

My point is that as a company, you don't make business decisions on hope and dreams...dmrj would not allow that to happen with their investment...you don't spend the money on infrastructure or labor unless you are certain that you need it...period.
GLTA,
KB
Fully understand that.
I hope that the moderators here will keep the board clean.
I have no problems with a different point of view as long as it has some basis.
This board has a lot of good information, I hope it stays that way.

B51 -
what is the bid price?
I would agree with zeynoc.
Last year, it took 2 months after the IT & E portion was done for the company to get air cargo TSA approval. Glenn said that the approval has been fast tracked for checkpoint approval.
I am very optimistic that approval will occur soon.
McGann also said qualification would occur in september at latest in the last cc.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but not distortion of facts or representation of opinions as facts.
If you listen to the last cc, at no time was checkpoint seen as "small potatoes." Glenn actually stated that TSA would be a large and primary buyer if checkpoint approval was accepted. And how do we know that air cargo has fizzled out...none of us know what is being negotiated behind closed doors. This silence period may be due to lack of sales or preparation of huge contracts...the only way to know is through thoughtful questioning of the conference call. My last post was deleted because I asked the question of why not move on...certainty that one will get egg on his face with continued investment doesn't make logical sense.

Never mind Ted you have it right
Ted - according to the latest version of acstl the itemiser 2 and smith 500 are both set to expire on 1/2014. Now I was under the impression that both would no longer be approved or qualified!!! That being said, I was at several airports yesterday and I saw a bunch of itemiser 3s being used still. Will someone please clear up if the itemiser and smiths will be outdated come January 2014...according to acstl 8.6 that I read...both are set to be outdated.

From the horses' mouth, bundling them is a consideration...why it hasn't happened yet i don't know. From the previous timeline of approval for air cargo, i expect passenger checkpoint approval soon, hopefully in the next couple of weeks. TSA will follow soon. I expect that TSA footdragging should be less as they have already gone through the process with IMSC. Really excited about September.
Possible catalysts in September:
# Air cargo qualification
# Passenger checkpoint approval
# Follow up orders from previous airports/air cargo
# TSA order
# News at conference call
# Bundling of the all the smaller sales
# Possible buy-out
I feel like Glenn is at bat with the bases loaded, hope he doesn't strike out!!!
GLTA,
KB
That's correct...we know that the NIST sale was not PR'd. When I spoke to Glenn, the feeling I got was that they were sticking to their policy of not PRing smaller sales, but that there had been some.
zeynoc, i would think that it is difficult to get these big companies to take your technology seriously without some validation. I know that this company has been around for a while and now finally has the personel and recognition of its technology. This silent period has been painful to the stock price, but I don't think a necessarily bad thing. From previous CC and timeline of cargo approval I would not be at all suprised if air cargo qualification AND passenger approval happen in September. With TSA budget becoming available in the next two months I also won't be surprised if a TSA contract comes out of this. Do you think that all these executives came to the company for kicks? The timing of all the recent events are all coming together and forming a rational picture. When not if this happens all the rats that are manipulating this stock or trying to make pennies from shorting the stock will be flushed out. I own as much as some of the board members and have not sold 1 share. I believe in the company and the product!!!

One interesting thing that I noticed.
Last year at the end of October a PR was placed that the B-220 was going through IT&E for cargo screening, then approximately 2 months later, it was approved.
This year on 7/9/13 a PR was placed that the B-220 had completed IT&E. Glenn said in his last CC that the process this time has been sped up due to strategic planning. So can we expect an approval by September?
BTW...call the company up and you will find out that the actual manufacture space is up 5 fold not doubled, manufacturing space has increased from 3000 sq feet to 15000 sq feet...tic tic tic...it's coming.
GLTA,
KB
zeynoc, take a deep breath...i feel your frustration. it's been a tough month...but that doesn't mean that nothing is happening. the move to the new facility is done, the company is hiring, and insiders are exercising their options. the next event is on the way.

A good morning to all.
Just wanted to get a feel of what people are thinking.
Some may find the lack of news unsettling.
I have some mixed thoughts/feelings about it.
Either there is no demand and we are in trouble.
But I get the feel that more likely, with the setting up of infrastructure and hiring, that what is likely happening is that the company no longer feels the need to PR small orders. That there may be something in the works that will be truly "news worthy." I hope I am right.
Buff, I feel your pain and frustration, but from following this company, the hardest parts are behind us...just hold on tight.
GLTA,
KB
Hey andy, are you sure that was there before? I am pretty sure that job posting is not new, correct me if I am wrong.
I agree.
Better to have no PR than one that sounds desperate.
The last PR made no sense. Why PR something after the fact.
I hope this quiet period means that something is in the works.
Guess we will find out soon enough.
Positive EBIDA by end of the year...better get on it IS.

zeynoc,
I hear you. I wonder if Glenn and management has a feel of what investor sentiment is or if they even care. I think that these sentiments can be shared with the management team in a tactful way during the conference call. I do find a few facts quite comforting though.
1. We did have a 3.5 million dollar sale
2. We did move into a bigger manufacture space
3. I work for a big company and every hire is done to meet demand. This company has been hiring a lot lately.
I think that Glenn and his team has done a horrific job in managing investor expectations and in my opinion the conference calls are very vague and really not all that informative. If they did hire someone for PRs, that person should be fired. I think that management has already lost its credibility and the only way for SP to move is through large sales.
GLTA,
KB
Thanks so much for the explanation.
Really helpful.
Regards,
KB
hey B9,
Wondering if you could help out a neophyte. Not as experienced as you are. Looked some stuff up, but is the NIST another testing agency? Are they only looking for 1 unit or will they be looking for multiple units? You seen enthused, just wanted to know your thoughts. Finally, the options mentioned earlier, is that just a sign of insider confidence? Would really appreciate your help.
KB
I agree zeynoc. In the last CC, he referred to the resume of the management team. That's great...but how about giving us some color on the pipeline other than that it's "tremendous." How about some detail about what is in the works...other than "i won't touch that." How about updates about Russia or any international certifications. I don't think that giving us some estimates of revenue will result in loss of competitive edge. I think part of the problem is that we as investors don't ask enough questions and take his word on the conference call as is. And how about having the company spend some time getting the word out? Common Glen and team...let's get this thing going. Take off has taken 7 months and we are still on the pad.
GLTA,
KB
Hey UHF,
Thanks for the input. Just for the record...realize that Daryl Jones is VP of sales so much falls on him. Just had a chance to listen to the last conference call again and remembered how excited I was to hear him say "just watch what we do with it." He did say that we are 4-5 months behind from a sales perspective, but was hoping that we would see more than we have and as B9 has said before...even a PR of all the onesies and twosies as a conglomerate would be awesome. A projection of future sales during a conference call is not too much to ask and would be elucidating, but Glenn has said nothing. He does say that we would be pos on an adjusted EBIDA basis...don't we need more sales soon? Anyhow hope that the next few months will bring some sales to fruition. Finally, when is the next CC?
GLTA,
KB
Thanks Andy, Trust me on this one...i own a good amount of IMSC shares and nothing would make me happier than to see this company succeed, both because I believe in what they produce and the fact that they are an american company. I suppose a lot has happended since the 90 cent days of a few months ago, but just frustrated that the stock can be so easily manipulated and that although Glenn seems to be optimistic, the company has underperformed from a sales perspective.
GLTA,
KB
Anyone know when the next CC will be.
Been in this stock for the past year and a half.
Know that others have been in it a lot longer, but thouroughly frustrated by the progress made by this company. I know that the company has progressed significantly in terms of certification and preparing the infrastructure for growth, but has done an aweful job in forcasting sales and release of PRs. The PRs and conference call are as vague as it gets, hard for wall street and investors to gauge how the company is really doing. Really wish they could add more color to what is really going on in the company. Am I the only one to feel this way?
Has anyone spoken to Glenn lately?
A lot of talk about potential and "prepared for success," but IMO the company has really done little to help or protect its investors.
Any thoughts?
It would make no sense to just PR a conference after it is done. What's the point? There must be a deal in the works, i think that the point of the PR is that Glenn is trying to tell us this with the statement of "advanced talks." I just don't know what advanced talks is...are we days away, weeks away.
I am also waiting for all the pilot studies to end soon and the orders to start coming in.
GLTA,
KB
BTW what does "advanced talks" mean?
New to the board.
Really enjoy reading all the comments.
Anyone have an idea why imsc posted after the fact.
The conference happened about a week ago, but is posting now?
Could it be that a deal is on the way, otherwise this post is useless, isn't it?
Any thoughts.
