Digifonica was listed on the TSX Venture and was running out of funds to complete the patents, It is an extremely expensive task when you consider the need for multiple and resourceful law firms. Unfortunately they had little success in garnering additional investors so they sourced a US company that opened the door to a base 10 times what they had in Canada.
Yes I added to my position this year.
Thanks, I am just trying to point out the obvious.
I honestly don't recall, you may very well be right
You are absolutely right, the PR's have been good for the base, in fact I am personally surprised at the most recent release, I did not expect as much as we got. Keep in mind, they release the PR's for the base, not for potential suitors.
Let's also recap the past 6+ months. We had a CC last August, in that call Malak made it very clear they did not want any hype and they were not going to pursue any activity in regards to marketing this thing until they had all patents in hand, whether that meant all 5 parents or parents and children I am not sure, I would guess parents personally.
After that, we had a nice run up into the beginning of January, we hit an intraday high of .31, I credit that to two items,
1) I strongly believe there was any offer brought to the table in December, and I have other reasons to believe that also. Don't ask!
2) We had a significant increase in shareholders, let's call them gold diggers, they heard of an inevitable sale for billions of dollars and wanted in, we are talking a 400% - 500% increase in holders, when the sale didn't happen, most got scared or angry and jumped ship, thus creating a sell environment. These could include the neighbors or co-workers of long term holders or even posters to this board, regardless they headed for the hills, thus putting us where we are today. Now the MM's are playing some people like a fiddle.
I also feel that once UI was issued Sawyer really got down to business, I also strongly feel that he put a gag on everyone and anyone that walked within a 100 metre radius of him and anyone else associated with VPLM, this happened in late February, as is apparent with the end of Mr. Inzas' tweets and the information coming out via PR's. I really feel that the most recent release of information was Sawyers' attempt at easing the concerns of shareholders to the best of his ability given the good chance that he and the BOD are under an NDA, even if they are talking and have not signed an NDA, he isn't going to jeopardize the outcome here to appease a few people on a message board, he is to highly respected and regarded for that. If you dig into his life story a little deeper than most here, you will find that he has a real incredible ability to lie in waiting and an even steadier hand...
A Court of Law or a very astute buyer with deep pockets, a very good ability at perceiving the needs of the world in the future and one that has Dr. Thomas Sawyers' phone number...
With all sincerity, how would you like them to be more aggressive about getting the word out, we really have no idea that they have or have not already done this. We do not know how many eyes they have put this in front of, in fact one could contort that to say "They have put this in front of so many people that this is now taking way to long to sort through all the offers, gee I wish they would just pick one!"
As far as educating the world regarding the future of VoIP technology, that I can assure you is not the job of this BOD, nor is it even remotely necessary...
Better late than never, I firmly believe this will go for much more than the current pps and sooner than 2015.
.005 was a whole lot longer however.
Just in case there are simalarities in the technologies that come to light.
It's a good thing that VPLM's patent (UI) was filed 2 months and 10 days prior to this art!
"As I've said before no real company with the assets VPLM claims to have would choose the OTC market for its public presence. The only reason for doing that is to sell worthless paper to its marks who allow their greed to eclipse their common sense."
There is one definitive reason to list OTC...Please read.

But you state definitively that (at least) three offers have been received, and that one of those is over a billion and is currently being considered by VPLM's BoD.
I never made the assertion that one was over a billion, here was my statement, additionally I said two perhaps three offers.
My own quotes!
"I am pretty confident they have had two, perhaps even three offers with the first real one going back to Dec 2013"
"I don't believe the first one was, the second one I think was/is being given a whole lot of discussion."
As for how I came to these conclusions, I can assure you it is more than "hope" as it has been indicated. That will be all I say!
If I had specific numbers, and I thought it actually would help to disseminate them, I would. However, the offer price us being guarded more tightly than the recipe for Heinz ketchup and I don't have that either.
I don't know why you make your post to myself, I did not say "I'm kind of a skeptic now"...
It's funny, first of all let me address the tweaking, these cannot just be tweaked, they would have to be written entirely different with virtually no resemblance to the original patent and still achieve the end result, MSFT tried to tweak our LI patent by hiring former Digifonica employees, they wrote a patent with approximately 75% the same content as VPLM's, thus one could say they tweaked it and we are all aware of how well that went for them.
Secondly, I actually was speaking to an IT guy in one of my offices today, he was installing our new IP phone system, quite amazing if I may say, I took a moment to discuss VPLM technology with him and he was rather passive until I said they actually had determined how to monetize VoIP calls, not just bundle unlimited amounts of data calls for one low rate of $22.95 per month such as Vonage. Then I touched upon LI, again this was an eye opening moment for him, then I walked away and left him hanging without a clue as to the name of the company, good times.
All I am saying is things are happening and we have the goods.
You are correct, June 13th, for 3.7 billion...
I won't sit here and say it will happen next week, I will stand by what I said to you however.
I am in for the $2-$4 range. Rest assured, Malak will have the final say and he and Sawyer will be talking to us soon enough.
I don't believe the first one was, the second one I think was/is being given a whole lot of discussion.

...and they keep crossing more T's and dotting more I's...
I am pretty confident they have had two, perhaps even three offers with the first real one going back to Dec 2013 and the most recent perhaps three weeks ago. Does that change your mind?

Maybe, just maybe things are falling in line, all the ducks are lining up. And BTW, I am good with the baseball analogy...
One reason to have an accountant on the proverbial payroll.
Eric Gurr, CPA
Lol, interesting theory. IMO however i wouldn't be surprised to see a number under 1000 again, too many people got into this thinking a big buyout was imminent and they really didn't have the stones or the "PATIENCE", not "PATIENTS" to stay in... Just Saying!
I no right, I have waited all day to see who would bring it up!
Fair enough, i personally don't care to see a PR regarding the release of quartely's, i am more interested in finding out how many shareholders of record there are currently, that could explain alot about the price swings we have seen over the last while, one way or the other.
I don't think that in today's day and age that the distance is an issue with the ever eveolving modes of communication. Perhaps one could assume that given the proximity to a deal, he sought a trusted team of additional advisors, one's that he knows and has dealt with previously. Also, why else would he now finally want to add an accounting/auditing firm to the repertoire and more legal representation, it is an added cost...
And here i thought people would at least be discussing the additional legal representation and new accounting firm representing VPLM, ironically all based in Utah, right next door to Mr. Sawyer
It's good to see them discussing some of the VPLM patents there today.
Yup, risen 86.5%. I wish all my investments had grown that much over the last year.
Absolutely, you may very well be spot on...
For sure, but who's to say Sawyer, Candy & Tucker aren't in town to have drinks with some old friends, if you know what I am saying, perhaps drumming up more interest or just signing on the dotted line.
Just looking more in depth at the ITW website, here is a great quote...
"ITW is a magnet for the decision-makers in the Telecom Industry. We can do more business during a few ITW days, and conclude more deals and agreements, than we can do in several months of our regular work."
Also, there is apparently an APP for Android or IOS, it is ITW2014, I would gladly download it but I run BB, apparently you can use it to search for attendees only, not sure if that means individual names but if anyone was boreed and had the right equipment, maybe a Tom Sawyer might go floating by... Who knows. It also has daily updates of what is happening there, woth a try.
My bad, ITW, to many acronyms go through my head daily...I will update that one, thanks.
I truly believe there is, perhaps sometime this week there are some serious discussions going on with the ITW conference in Chicago. Just because VPLM wasn't registered doesn't mean they are not there, what better time to present to a large audience of international players even if it is not done formally in the conference itself. Honestly, for a company that runs on no revenue and one that is trying to cut down on expenses, what greater way to get things done, they don't have to fly around the world for months on end, they only have to live it up in Chicago for a week, smart business if you ask me...
Go away in May, come back in the fall... Isn't that what they say.
...And his comment never indicated that they did. However, if you actually took the time to read all the filings you would see that VPLM was a reseller of Magic Jack, they stopped selling them but did continue to have inventory, additionally if you read the filings you would see they clearly and transparently declared the ownership of the inventory and they also clearly and transparently indicated the storage costs for said inventory... Just saying...
I like the way these guys are putting themselves out there finally, always a good sign when they don't hide their faces.
