I never try to go through locked doors. "Access forbidden!" is where I stop. If you can get to a link through the address bar at the top of the screen and there is no security to stop you it is Public Domain. If I were trying to get past someone’s security that would be a crime, but I am not. Many people surf using the address bar.
Also, the fact that GTE has a space for video is very exciting for a long time investor like me. Others have also stated they appreciate the info, if you do not please put me on ignore.
Thanks
Kevin

Yes I considered live video feed. That is why I also searched for a webcam page. http://www.globetel.net/webcam but found nothing. It could also be part of the video page as you state.
I am extremly pleased with the progress Mr. Huff and team have made. Some areas have taken longer than we would have liked to bring to market, but it appears it will be worth the wait.
Kevin
Kind of a back door using the address bar at the top of your screen. There is no link from the main GTE page, but the fact that you get a "Access forbidden!" message shows they have a video page. They are just not giving us access to it.
None of us can tell what it is for. We can only hope it is for video of the flight. LOL
Kevin
This could be nothing, but globetel now has a section on their web site for video. When you click on the link you will see that it says "Access forbidden!" http://www.globetel.net/video/ Which means they have a section for videos that we do not have access to. It should be noted that this section must be fairly new because I check frequently and it has not always been there. Normally you get the "Object not found!" message. This message appears when no page exists. For example here is one: http://www.globetel.net/pictures
Also here is the link for images: http://www.globetel.net/images/ If you click on it you get the same result as clicking on http://www.globetel.net/video/ ,but watch what happens when you click here: http://www.globetel.net/images/stratellite-construction3.jpg Notice everything is the same up to the stratellite-construction3
Another example, here is a picture we all enjoy: http://www.sanswire.com/images/sanswire-one-may-12-3.jpg
So what is the point of all this? Here are some points:
1. Globetel has a video section on their web that we cannot see.
2. It is fairly new.
3. We do not know what if any video's are currently stored there (We can only hope! LOL)
4. I want a strate video!
5. I must be a little bored today! LOL
Kevin
Institutional investors changes in position just started showing up. This morning we had 2.97% institutional holdings. Now we have 3.04%.
In Thire quarter:
TIAA CREF INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT LLC increasd position by 53,700
TEACHERS ADVISORS INC increased position by 1,300
MARCO INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT LLC increased position by 1 (ROFLMAO)
http://www.nasdaq.com/asp/Holdings.asp?symbol=GTE&symbol=EGHT&symbol=MOBL&selected=GTE&a...
I know this is not a huge increase, but atleast it is not a decrease. Also the institutions have 45 days from the end of the quarter to report holdings. After the end of second quarter they trickled in right up to day 45.

GlobeTel Announces Formal Agreement with TAO-Technologies in Cooperation with the University of Stuttgart of Germany
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct 12, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- GlobeTel Communications Corp. (Amex: GTE) today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Sanswire Networks LLC, has signed an agreement with TAO-Technologies (TAO) in cooperation with the University of Stuttgart in Germany. The University of Stuttgart has been well known for the research and development of airships for decades, and has developed an excellent track record in the design, development and flight testing of numerous air vehicles.
The agreement states that TAO-Technologies, in cooperation with the University of Stuttgart, will design several next-generation airships intended for multiple uses. These unique and proprietary designs are specific to certain customer demands and are intended to complement the suite of near-space vehicles currently being developed and built by GlobeTel's wholly owned subsidiary, Sanswire Networks LLC.
Professor Dr. Bernd Kroplin of the University of Stuttgart stated: "I am excited to continue our working relationship with Mr. Bob Jones, President of Sanswire, and his team of experts in the field of high-altitude airship design and telecommunications platforms. I have seen other large companies attempt to design high altitude airships, and none of them compare to what we can achieve through our mutual cooperation. The world of academia knows that the University of Stuttgart and my team have been working on high altitude airship design for many years. In working together with Sanswire Networks LLC, a subsidiary of GlobeTel Communications Corp as a strategic partner for the design of the high altitude systems, we will have a significant advantage over our competitors."
"TAO-Technologies, in cooperation with the University of Stuttgart led by Professor Dr. Bernd Kroplin, is highly regarded throughout the world for research, design, development and flight testing of technology demonstrators and prototypes of airships," said Bob Jones, President of Sanswire LLC. "Dr. Kroplin and TAO-Technologies will bring additional resources and technologies to the table, which will enable us to continue our aggressive move forward with the Stratellite and other high altitude air vehicles." Mr. Jones continued, "For decades, Germany has been well known throughout the world for its rigid airships which have flown for years, and directly helped the United States Navy in developing and flying the rigid airship in the early 1900's in support of the World War. The proven German rigid airship design has a direct correlation to Sanswire's advanced technology that is deployed on our high altitude airship."
Timothy Huff, Chief Executive Officer of GlobeTel, commented, "Our innovative approach in bringing the right team to the table gives us an unsurpassed advantage over other companies, both large and small. I am very pleased to work with such a well- respected professor like Dr. Bernd Kroplin of the University of Stuttgart. With academia backing and infrastructure already in place to help advance our airship program, TAO-Technologies brings technologies that will certainly continue to enhance our current airship design." Mr. Huff continued, "Bob Jones with his team of experts have already built a wonderful relationship with Dr. Bernd Kroplin and his team. Sanswire will work very closely with our new strategic partner to deploy the new technology and bring the benefits of our teams' experience to the Sanswire airship and to the world."
A Stratellite is similar to a satellite, but is stationed in the stratosphere rather than in orbit. At an altitude of 10 to 13 miles above the Earth, each Stratellite will have clear line-of-sight communications capability to an entire major metropolitan area as well as being able to provide coverage across major rural areas. Several Stratellites linked together could cover many hundreds of thousands of square miles. The Stratellite will allow subscribers to easily communicate in "both directions" using readily available wireless devices. In addition to voice and data, proposed telecommunications uses include cellular, 3G/4G mobile, MMDS, paging, fixed wireless telephony, HDTV, real-time surveillance and others

There could be alot of difference in that the military might have technology/systems that can be used for military projects, yet not for commercial applications.
Also the military will want to spend much much more than a commercial system cost. That way they feel like they are getting their moneys worth. LOL
Kevin
Rocky - glad your are very surprised. This surpasses what I was hoping for also. I anticipated Sanswire 2 being ready, not a completely different ship.
Of course, based on the fact that it appears we are only waiting on the "delivery of the Guidance, Navigation and Control Computer System (CCS) and the Safety Control System (SCS)." I may be right on what I was hoping for. LOL
Thanks
Kevin
It also appears Sanswire 2 may only be waiting on Honeywell
"Sanswire II, our technology demonstrator, is under construction at our Palmdale facility in California and we are working aggressively to complete Sanswire II, pending the delivery of the Guidance, Navigation and Control Computer System (CCS) and the Safety Control System (SCS)."
Airship appears to be different than sanswire 2
"witness the initial flight of its special, high altitude, military prototype airship."
"This demonstration in no way defers our progress on our commercial airship, Sanswire III. Sanswire II, our technology demonstrator, is under construction at our Palmdale facility in California and we are working aggressively to complete Sanswire II, pending the delivery of the Guidance, Navigation and Control Computer System (CCS) and the Safety Control System (SCS)."

Rocky - I agree "Not to file really doesn't make any sense to me". It is really the same concept as my not requesting certificates for my GTE shares. If we get a big run someday I want to be in a position to sell some if I choose. If I have certificates I have a delay before I can sell, then I might miss the best of a good run.
Of course, I hope our run starts and does not stop for a long while. lol

Just an observation, anyone notice Lithium Technology Corp has been moving up steadily for the last couple of weeks. I do not know if it means anything, but it is interesting to see one of our suppliers moving up dramatically.

Also, from CEO letter "Thus, as currently planned, we expect to put our new high-tech Sanswire Two vehicle through its most demanding operational paces, at altitude, before the end of this year."
If he holds to schedule we would need to be ready to fly soon. If we look back to sanswire 1. I believe they said the testing would take about 60 days (I could be wrong on this number). If they have about the same testing process, then to accomplish the above goal as stated by CEO, sanswire 2 needs to be ready towards end of October at latest. Last week of October would be perfect timing. IMO
Thanks
Kevin
Rocky - Rarely do I hope you are wrong, but this time I do. lol
Have a great weekend all
Kevin
That we are actually able to test fly the thing. I'm not talking about commercial use. Sorry for misunderstanding.
Kevin
Observations:
1. The upcoming events page did not display the Oct 18-20 ISPCON until today.
http://www.globetel.net/about/events.html
2. The ISPCON as stated in the PR will be to "Unveil the Ultimate Turnkey VoIP Solution for Service Providers"
3. The upcoming events page has displayed the TELCOM05 conference since the page first showed up.
4. The main GTE page upper right as corner where the link to the upcoming events page shows a picture which appears to show a display booth showcasing a picture of a Stratellite. This picture has also been there from the beginning.
http://www.globetel.net/index.html
IMO, it is possible that the TELCOM05 show will be for the unveiling of Stratellite (Operational, not in planning stage). Based on the fact that the ISPCON and the VOIP seem to be together. It would be logical to assume the TELCOM05 and the Stratellite Display picture go together. We have also rented a large amount of floor space at the TELCOM05 show (4x the normal booth size).

It seems we have something BIG to share.
Your Thoughts?
Kevin
No, you are correct, the margins have yet to show up. We are spending money on stratellite development. Also delayed due to moving switch. Will be nice when we start showing green.
Kevin
Rocky - I must have been thinking about this old chart. If you delay the numbers about 2 quarters it looks like it would still fit.
http://www.globetel.net/about/chart.pdf
Rocky - since the PR states "Starting in October 2005". Do you feel any revenue generated is already included in the projections for the 4th quarter or is this going to be above and beyond the projections.
Kevin
Rocky and Greg
It seems to me that the superhub is a international transfer tool. Still need the local infrastructure to have the whole package (we will once strats are deployed). Sort of like a organization tree. We transfer information between the top levels and the lower levels have their own networks. The lower networks talk among themselves and when international communication is needed they pass the signal up to the big boys where the exchange is done.
Just my uneducated basic idea of what we have
Kevin
PS: I could be way off. lol
Globetel is growing. We are looking for more qualified people again. Looking for a Linux Software Engineer. I guess that rules me out. lol

I agree with your 100% on this issue. The only problem is the real longs are buying more at these prices, which puts them further in the hole with their short shares. lol
Enjoy

Yea, yahoo is needs to update more often. Try this for a better look. Notice the insider BUYS!

I had not heard of a WSJ article from last night. Can you tell me what was it supposed to be about?

I wonder if they are short more than 3.4 million shares, but keep swapping the shorted shares back and forth to stay off the short list?
Any thoughts

News: GlobeTel Communications Requests Trading Review to Protect Shareholder Value
http://www.pinksheets.com/quote/news.jsp?url=fis_story.asp%3Ftextpath%3DCOMTEX%5Cbw%5C2005%5C09%5C27...
Hi all, back from week in the south helping with cleanup. Was in a little town called Abita Springs, LA, which is about 30 min North of New Orleans. They still have a lot of work to do. They have power back in a lot of areas, but the biggest problem is still communication. Every other time I tried to use cell phone I received a "due to the hurricane, cell phone coverage in this area is not available” Anyone have any idea what the cost of repairs for cell phone companies is. I bet they could buy stratellite coverage for less than repairing the towers. I was in a heavily wooded area. I don't think I would be exaggerating to say 50% of the trees are down.
Looking forward to stratellite launch
Kevin
Do you have a link to interview?
TIA
Kevin
LOL - google search for sanswire, then select advanced. Choose options english, past 3 months, .pdf file type, then search again. Should be in the middle of page 2.
Enjoy
Kevin
PS. going to be 30 miles north of New Orleans for next week helping with cleaning up. Will not have access to internet. Hope to come back to great GTE things.
