We've always excluded the homepage and Quotes page from the ad-free policy, as there is significant costs involved in bringing quotes/news/charts/etc as a feature to the site. The premium membership applies to all the message board pages, which you won't see an ad on, as you noted.

It looks like a lot of people are now reporting it working - I suspect it was 100% related to you escalating the issue - we appreciate it!!!

The few users reporting issues all have one thing in common (same ISP/or Internet backbone).....unfortunately, it's nothing the iHub team or London team can fix; something the provider(s) are going to resolve...which normally happens within 24hours.

As an update - who all is still down?

From the data we've gathered, it's an ISP or two that's lost the route/connection to ADVFN/others temporarily.

All systems are fine and the majority of users are having no issues.

Without examples of which boards you're referring to, I can't offer too much help.

There is some latitude allowed on boards that are non-stock-specific - but I don't know if that's where you're referring to.

As a follow up to Shelly's post, I want to make it even simpler.

If your post is not about the company/stock, it is subject to deletion.

All of these posts that have been deleted today are absolute nonsense about other users and wars against bashers. I've been around a long time and I understand the mentality of rallying against the bashers and shutting down the pumpers. Yawn.

The best way to win a debate is to simply refute what the person is saying. Don't attack the user or question their motives - everybody has one. Just debate the points raised. It's the most effective way to 'shut someone up.'

I'll be monitoring the board to make sure neither side is dominatating the discussion or posting nonsense.

We don't like issuing bans, folks.....but the board needs to stay on topic. EESO is all that needs to be discussed here.

I assume you're referring to dually-quoted OTCBB stocks -if they show the Pink Sheet order book? Yes, it does show that. I can set you up with a free trial so you can take a poke at it on any stocks you'd like to know for sure on.

The system will log you off if you have a separate computer using ADVFN and another using iHub.

Why?

When you are viewing realtime or streaming, you have a 'seat' on the system (exchange rules).

When you view iHub, as a subscriber, you see real-time quotes.

When you view streamer, as a subscriber, you see streaming/realtime.

So what is going on is it's bouncing your 'seat' between computers. You can has as many windows open as you like on the same computer browser - viewing streamer/iHub/level2/etc though.

Where is SYNJ listed? It is not in the IH/ADVFN streamer quotes. Does it appear with another symbol?

As some situations this weekend proved, we haven't done a very good job of communicating about some of the anomalies on the site. With 1000's of boards, there are not that many, but enough that we should be alerting you to these dozen or so. Our failing to do this has created unnecessary drama and frustrated quite a few people in the last few days.

We've decided to compile an overview for all Mod Squad. If/when someone new joins the team then there will be a sort of "guide, best practices" link to send them.

So, if any of you have ideas or suggestions - especially learning curves you encountered in your initial days as MS - we would appreciate them. Please send them to IH Admin to be incorporated into this document.

And, once again, thanks for all that you do. You truly are one of the best assets this site has in helping ensure that, as much as possible, the rules are applied consistently and fairly across the site. You all are a major part of the success we have here, it does not go unnoticed and is very much appreciated.
