...now the whales start to come sniffing around lil ole pphm (major networks - I love when they say "negative OPINION piece".
Longs, we're mentioned in freakin MARKETWATCH...DD time though.
imo.
porkchop11
yea i know we're probably mentioned all the time, but...
He's a taxpayer ain't he??
The short side on PPHM is playing a dangerous game imo oldtimer, and stoops to rearview mirror "articles" without even pointing out any recent positives or the overall picture of pphm and its pretty broad portfolio (not to mention avid) in a balanced and fair way. How's this for an article on the long side "INEXPERIENCED SHORTSELLERS should exercise caution when trading this stock"...They could get hurt bad imo (ex. all out freakin buyout).
Sorry, my name's Bob too.
all imo.
porkchop11
Question seems to be where do we jump in like spider monkeys?
Have the labor day weekend coming up (thanks wook forgot Sept 7 is fri not a monday), so the bigs will be in the hamptons etc. and we should be able to "swoop" in and pick up some nice trading shares...must have core position in tack for rocket ride.
If you have the balls and dry powder (maybe a lil margin is ok but not too much), this might be the time, or a bit lower, very "soon". Risk Reward is HIGH...LOL!
all imo.
porkchop11
Oh, and for you Turtle Man fans, "LIVE ACTION"! (Loof he's a he's a Kentucky backwoods kinda guy like you (he doesn't consume however). He's on discovery or similar TV channel. I think they should come do a "reality" show on your homestead. I'd PM if I could...
Hey Loof, you hang out with fellow Kentuckian Ernie Brown, Jr. by chance? Could he be the Colonel you speak of?
I bet he would like some PPHM, being a nature fan and all.
all imo.
porkchop11
p.s. for those who don't know Mr. Brown I have one thing to say "LIVE ACTION"!
So Dew, even with a good mix of different countries/ethnicities representative of the pt population, you don't feel AA is attainable while also running a larger p3? Isn't that why they have AA to begin with?
I understand that p3s can have 1000s of pts, but if our mos trends continue, regardless of p and hzd ratios when calculated, the pressure pts and their family will bring on the fda via requests to their elected officials (were talking doubling of survival here)could be the ace in the hole. We longs here are for the most part realists but the pphm short thesis is looking at the past and norms; this may be groundbreaking stuff here but summarily dismissed by some because they're looking in the rearview and relying on norms (shoot p values should have p values).
all imo.
porkchop11
FTM, if I may, I think that applies to bavi pts in the unlikely event they want to go back to soc. So it should work both ways but probably does not due to the wording you posted.
af at it again on stock twitter
Second-line NSCLC: This randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled Phase II trial is evaluating bavituximab with docetaxel versus docetaxel with placebo in 121 second-line NSCLC patients. Top-line data from the trial announced in May 2012 showed a doubling of overall response rates (ORR), the primary endpoint, and an improvement in progression-free survival (PFS), a secondary endpoint, in patients treated in the bavituximab-containing arms when compared to the control arm. Another secondary endpoint, median overall survival (OS), in the control arm has already been determined at less than 6 months, while as of May 2012 the median OS had not been reached in either bavituximab-containing arm.
my final attempt to post this (server hangup); just p2 2nd line overview (as opposed to 1st line).
mos is a secondary endpoint in the 2nd line, which has not been met for the bavi arms. And note the doubling of orr...placebo my ass.
all imo.
porkchop11
Hey Wook, have another one; grab one for me while you're at it...
So who's buying a few tonite ah? I don't think I can resist. I mean what if...
all imo.
porkchop11
I believe SK said majority at the Wedbush conference, and to me most means 80-90%...wouldn't that be a hoot! We shall see "soon".
all imo.
porkchop11
This is a change, right?
I think they're warming to you, LOL. Don't worry I'll keep an eye on'em to, and I note GEO and EYEBUY are circling also.
Someone just posted about a HCV drug halt, BMY...toxicity.
Good luck, us long timers deserve it (circa 2000), LOL!
all imo.
porkchop11
...but but we could be at $5 before then. Ok, $4.
Maybe we longs are just trying to justify BUYING THE JACKSHIT OUT OF IT before said late breaker by trying to get all of your blessings. I'd much rather you keep us grounded though (not all of your eggs...).
Master - thanks, I guess it works both ways, but with the continuing MOS trend in the P2 2nd Line, we looongs are basically giddy after all this time. I do note that the Pfizer trial wasn't a total failure as a lot was learned about alzheimers and brain plaque; however, with our (PPHM) current trend, I tend to lean to the awesome news side.
all imo.
porkchop11
but because bavi can be armed, it would constitute a new patent for future versions; kind of like the bavi imaging, no? I'm talking straight buy-out. Wouldn't that be considered by a potential buyer?
How about Neudexta? I'm thinking of getting back in eventually (30 day wash rule up soon).
all imo.
porkchop11
deep man, deep. LOL!
but, unfortunately, absolutely correct.
So, why are you guys so stupid for hatin on pphm, lo...
sorry.
all imo.
porkchop11
jq - I believe there are some patent benefits associated with the potential combo drug(s)...see AVNR and Neudexta. Any thoughts on that drug anyone? I just sold my small position at $2.91 for a small, shall we say, write-off.
all imo.
porkchop11
dribble or drivel...see anyone can pick posts apart, and you conveniently forgot mention that PPHM's plenary session is a LATE BREAKING ABSTRACT. Negative, I'd like you point out one Late Breaker where the CEO was giving bad news.
all imo.
porkchop11
Master - you got that right, you don't know JackSHIT about PPHM. Negative information LOL! Maybe at a Shorter convention!

all imo.
porkchop11
Vin - unless mgmt. wants to go straight to jail, you can't fake survival, maybe fake your own death, but survival...c'mon man.
all imo.
porkchop11
Thanks Vin, but I never said animal cells have walls, that was another poster...Just thought you'd be interested in that yahoo post fyi as it discussed upcoming catalysts and ps targeting.
all imo.
porkchop11
FF - hopefully they were too busy to pr it...(isn't there a new guy that posted recently that said he lived 20 minutes from tustin?)
I like this part:
That's right, although I think his treatment was successful thank God.
Never heard melanoma mentioned before as exposing ps; shoot I guess any stressed cell can expose it : )
See Dew actually admitted there were some inaccuracies in the article...and still provides no reason why he thinks the science will fail.
all imo.
porkchop11
Didn't someone here have melanoma? See my prior post with the links from the yahoo poster bimerkjaere.
So what did they say?
Two more trading days to avoid wash rule...
porkchop11
Bungler - didn't UPenn do a trial for us co-infection or was it cotara (phil)?
Vin - longtime no speak...
Here, this should help out with any questions on pphm's ps targeting and cell walls including upcoming catalysts. Great post.

my pleasure...
all imo.
porkchop11
Nice post from yahoo's bimerk...regarding catalysts and targeting ps.

porkchop11
There you go Mike! Gotta believe man...
As for mgmt, they have material info and probably can't buy, hence options (4 u jake), or disclose any info unless pr'd; wink, wink.
As for now, the mkt goes up u make $, the mkt goes down, u MAKE $...if you're brave enough to be out of stock if the big news hits ( ex. (again) Micronetics Wireless (NOIZ). Closed at 9ish opened 14.70ish.
The data will soon do the talking; these guys are citing past history, even back to last December. You can't, however, argue against mos and os, particularly when a majority of the pts are still alive. Kind of refutes shorts' thesis that the results could now be biased due to the unblinding (again majority of pts). Waters that argument down, no? OS trumps all.
all imo.
porkchop11
All - keep in mind that mm's and tutes are by all accounts short. They're basically lending out shares they bought to us unsuspecting longs or their clientele...I guess it can work both ways (short or long) depending on the party's philosophy (i.e. buy side or sell side).
I suspect one got caught with its pants down on our awesome run and now is forced to spread fud to shake some shares loose.
all imo.
porkchop11
Dragonball Z huh, LOL. Probably why you don't understand the difference between capital markets and equity markets...
Try a new approach.
all imo.
porkchop11
Tek, I think Jonny meant overbought; meaning shorts think people will begin to take profits thereby helping their trade.
Guys, this is how millionaires (multi) are made, right Bungler.
all imo.
porkchop11
PG - "Gilead Sciences bags Pharmasset's hep C pipeline in $11B buyout".
LOL!
all imo.
porkchop11
Sunstar - yes, what Bungler said.
If we are seeing CRs and MOS continuing everyday, won't ethical questions arise, particulary if the control arm pts begin to get sicker. If I'm not mistaken, all of these patients had failed 1st line treatment and have weak immune systems already. If it's not in the trial protocol then I doubt crossover would take place unless exceptions are made.
Thanks for all your work here too.
all imo.
porkchop11
Hey sunstar - don't know if you saw the question on Dew's board about pt crossover to the bavi arms in the 2nd line trial? Is that possible in trial protocols?
Any thoughts?
porkchop11
What, that's only $497.249999 +/- to go... : )
Why not if we have the holy grail! How much is apple trading for?
LOL!
all imo.
porkchop11
I hear ya; personally me and wook value our girl here at half a Trillion if all pans out : )
But one needs to be realistic here as there is a lot of risk still involved in the trials, not to mention the sharks circling.
all imo.
porkchop11
What the shorts and market timers are forgetting here is that one day, could be tomorrow, you might wake up to a $15 bid on PPHM due to a straight buyout.
Take for example NOIZ. My son had a small position we bought for him when he was born, and added along the way. Well, it was trading at $9 per share or so for a long period of time (she ran to $22 a few years back) when I woke up one day to news of a $14.80 buyout by Mercury Systems.
Shorts beware...: )
all imo.
