Solves a lot the the current problems with existing batteries at 6 times the power and 1/3 the weight.
Everyone waiting on the news...
It also appears to be a very inexpensive pouch type battery.
Also the fact that its called the XNRGI Powerchip which is a Neah Systems trademark is encouraging.

PowerChip® Battery
How it works
Why it is a game changer
Cost effective, low/no toxicity
Uses 5-8 generation old silicon production equipment
Re-use of older generation equipment
Industry standard chemicals and processes for batteries
Semiconductor industry has very clean record
High volume batch or continuous production
Low self discharge, long shelf life
Small microscopic cells
Less points for lithium aggregation
Longlife
Large number of pores (‘micro batteries’) allows some failures without system impact
Lithium isolated or contained in ‘wells’ and not ‘intercalated’
Perfectly ordered structure provides repeatable charge / discharge cycles
High energy density and load currents
Large number of pores (‘micro batteries’)
Each pore has high aspect ratio 5-20 um x 400 um, effectively acting as high density battery
Very thin battery embodiments
Fast recharge
Large number of pores (‘micro batteries’)
Each pore effectively acts as a small battery
Charging rate determined by each pore, not full system
Safe
No intercalation, lithium is safe
Less points for lithium aggregation
Individual cells separated by silicon preventing thermal runaway reactions, and provides containment in the pores
Perfectly ordered structure allows for simpler battery management systems

XNERGI - TeraWatt factory --would seem to require some foundry on the scale of Globalfoundries... some interesting common history....
https://forums.theregister.co.uk/forum/2/2011/12/26/apple_fuel_cell_patents/#c_1271535
Apple land-grabs fuel cells for mobiles
And the patent land-grab continues unabated, with Apple filing patent applications to forestall anybody else trying to plug smartphones into fuel cells. As far as El Reg can tell, Cupertino hasn’t actually built a fuel-cell-powered-cellphone, so we presume its two patent applications merely indicate directions in its research …
This will bring Google some economies of scale and no doubt some better margins on the products it sells, but all this is secondary to acquiring Motorola's patents.
The math is stark. Motorola has 17,000 patents, Google has about 1,000. As Google’s CEO Larry Page said in a blog postannouncing the deal, "our acquisition of Motorola will increase competition by strengthening Google's patent portfolio, which will enable us to better protect Android from anti-competitive threats from Microsoft, Apple and other companies."
Indeed, just a few weeks ago, Motorola Mobility Chairman Dr. Sanjay Jha boasted on an earnings call that its patent holdings separated it from the rest of the Android market.
"As most of you know, we own one of the strongest and most respected patent portfolios in the industry," Jha said. "We have over 17,000 patents granted and over 7,000 patents pending with particular strength in 2G and 3G essential, non-essential patents important to the delivery of competitive products in the marketplace, video particularly compression, decompression and security technologies and finally, a leading position in 4G LTE essential.
Indeed, a growing number of analysts and investors have been pushing Motorola to be more aggressive with its patents and to start targeting other Android vendors who are using its technology. Part of this is driven by the slow sales of its own products, but no one disputes that Motorola could do some damage if it went on the attack.
It seems Apple is determined to improve the battery life of its various devices after years of complaints from owners.
The tech firm has been awarded a patent for a 'fuel cell system' that would replace the clunky, toxic batteries found in its Macbooks with cells that have the potential to last 'days or even weeks.'
It is the second time, in a matter of weeks, Apple has been reported as looking to revamp how it powers its devices using the smaller, more environmentally-friendly technology.

Sanjay Jha, Global Foundries
Sanjay Jha took over as CEO of Global Foundries, a semiconductor foundry that produces chips for giants like AMD, Broadcom, Qualcomm, and STMicroelectronics, in January 2014; before that he has served as the CEO of Motorola Mobility and COO of Qualcomm.
He joined Motorola as co-CEO in 2008, while serving simultaneously as CEO of Motorola's Mobile Devices Business.
Prior to Motorola, Sanjay held multiple senior engineering and executive positions during his 14 years with Qualcomm, ultimately serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Qualcomm Inc. from 2006 to 2008.

cells. He has over 50 journal publications and conference proceedings; 2 book contributions and 24 pending or issued patents
Dr. Slobodan Petrovic, Vice President of Engineering (see more below) as listed on the new (XNGRI team tab)
Dr. Petrovic is a full professor at the Oregon Institute of Technology in Portland, OR. Prior to that, he was professor at the Arizona State University and he held appointments at Motorola Inc., Neah Power and ClearEdge Power as a Vice President of Engineering.
(Seems like alot of folks with a Motorola connection, Tekion, BASF, Polaris, and Globalfoundries, CEO, not to mention a number of shared or now owned patents)
approached Oregon Tech because of the school's expertise in energy storage and the capability of its Energy Storage Lab, directed by professor Slobodan Petrovic.
"Arcimoto came to us wanting to design a battery pack where heat generation and the contact to each cell are both better controlled, which will lead to lower cost as well as longer battery life," Petrovic said. "There has previously been very little precise testing of the behavior of these batteries in packs to gain insights into the internal process and how that is affected by the pack design. We have the ability to do all of this here at Oregon Tech."

Bob Moriarty introduces Neah Power Systems, a company that is developing a longer-life and safer lithium-ion battery.
https://www.streetwisereports.com/pub/na/neah-power-has-a-better-mousetrap-battery
Source: Bob Moriarty for The Energy Report (9/21/16)
A month or so back one of my readers sent me some information about a young company based near Seattle that has built a better mousetrap battery. The company is named Neah Power Systems Inc. (NPWZ:OTCBB) and they have invented a better and safer battery. It's a lithium battery but one that has a higher power density than other lithium batteries now in use. Comparing the Tesla 18650 battery, the Neah Power battery has 1500 Watt-hours per liter (Wh/L) and 500 Watt-hours per kilogram (Wh/kg) and the standard Tesla 18650 battery has 280 Wh/l and 120 Wh/kg. Thus the Neah Power battery delivers 400%–500% more power than the Tesla battery and is safer.
The standard battery powering the current body cameras for police needs recharging every four hours. Neah Power has an order from a company supplying police cameras and the Neah Power battery will last a full shift or up to thirteen hours between charges.
I can't go into the technical details of what makes the batteries better because I don't understand all of the issues but basically the internals of the battery are fabricated on standard computer chip making machines. The Neah Power battery is made up of 320,000 micro batteries per square inch. If for any reason one of the 320,000 micro batteries goes bad, due to the physical separation between the individual batteries, there is no cross contamination. With a conventional two-dimensional battery, every point is connected to every other point. When one fails, the whole thing blows up. Literally.
Neah Power suffers the same sorts of problems every other young technical company suffers from. They have a lack of money and a lack of visibility. I liked the story enough that I went out on the open market and bought shares. The company needs to raise money and should any readers be interested, I suggest you contact the President Chris D'Couto directly for more information.
I hate the share structure; they have 1.9 billion shares outstanding and as of right now, the shares are quoted at $0.0009 apiece. I had a real problem figuring out just how many shares I got and I was afraid when I placed an order in getting the decimal point in the wrong place and owning the company shortly thereafter. But as of right now the company has a market cap of about $1.7 million. Various projections guess the total demand for battery storage in the world between $60 billion and $120 billion per year.
The process that Neah Power has invented to create the battery innards on a chip-making machine is highly scalable, unlike current technology. The company is in discussion with various large computer companies and automobile manufacturers but naturally whom they are talking to is not public information.
Neah Power did recently receive a grant from the U.S Department of Energy for their lithium battery development. It wouldn't take much in the way of news to drive this stock far higher. And like many other new mousetraps companies, they either succeed wildly or fail totally.
from the 2015 report before the battery....
This sum of the parts approach produces a present value of all of the company’s intellectual assets and
tax loss carry-forwards of $117.7 million.
In our second, more practical approach, we estimated the company’s likely revenue progression over the
next two years and calculated a revenue achievement of $14.5 million which, when a 3x revenue multiple
is applied, produces a value of approximately $43.5 million which, discounted at a 15% annual discount
rate over two years produces a base value of $32.9 million. Add in the tax loss carry-forwards estimated
value of $14 million and a total value of $46.9 million can be calculated. Currently the company is trading
with an enterprise value of about $6 million.
The steep discount from our valuation calculations is almost certainly attributed to the enduring
inability of the company to generate revenues and the generally disappointing history of fuel cell
investments. Investing at this time before real commercial corroboration takes place has its obvious
risks, but it will not take long to respond positively if any of the pending customer discussions translate to
real material engagements. It is understandable, however, why the market is taking a “show me” attitude
towards this company and its stock.

Here's a thought, maybe instead of posting here on the hub, the word on the battery should make its way out to the trade magazines ( Electrical engineering etc, battery articles, etc) instead of the limited number of readers here..
There are writers that have written about Neah may send them some information on the latest claims and not what for the news to get out....
The number of views on the video was only around 360...how many of those are actual shareholders..
How many shareholder want to be are locked out of buying shares due to restriction place on what type of investors may buy shares...
Small numbers until a Press release comes out or the information collected from the website on whom to send and email about the stock is actually sent out by the company....
xnrgi video can still be found on youtube.... see link below
Tie to Co President and CEO....
at least for now...save a copy this time as information as it tends to disappear... ....

I can understand a bogus teaming agreement...but why would S4W place this information on a sell/order sheet for a product as serious as their drone?
Continuous Flight
• UAS management solution for continuous uninterrupted flight missions
• UAS of various energy sources to extend flight times
• Integrated Neah Power battery for extended, multiple Hour flight times.
Still on the website. This is not some backyard toy drone. S4W is trying to attract high end clients, police, military, contractors etc. Why would they advertise falsely for Neah's sake, nothing to gain when you are already partnered with VOXX.
Think they are going to post fraudulent information like this:
"Integrated Neah Power battery for extended, multiple Hour flight times."
Really? So xyz police department calls S4W to place an order based on the above claims...what do they tell their potential client? Oh, we posted that information so our buddy Chris D'Couto could sell shares of his slimy, defunct fuel cell/battery company.
Right...
Not sure why the delay, but still waiting.

No , i am actually a shareholder and because of that and the fact that I care about even my "high risk" money i do not want them to fail.
That is actually NEWS posted by a different company not NEAH. Since the links were just fixed recently it would enforce that the news is most likely true.
After all , why fix the link so that it can be read if it was old and not valid news. Too bad S4W does not agree with you.
The fact that you do not want it to be true is a personal problem.

Strange logic there.
Do not know what NEAHs status is since D'Couto has gone incomunicado.
However I will inject a quote from the S4W CEO.
"Paul Sault, CEO of S4W noted, “Our engineering staff and consultants immediately recognized the transformative nature of NEAH Power’s Formira HOD™ and PowerChip® solutions, specifically, when incorporated in a highly disruptive product like our Smart Body Cam where continuous power is necessary for delivery of the ever-important personnel and public safety benefits they provide. ?
So he states the intent to use NEAH in the bodycam, so why do you decide it will not be used in the camera ?
S4W recently fixed their news links regarding NEAH and VOXX, I see this as a re-iteration of their partnership with both.

Awesome find Bill. After all of these years following Neah, it would be an extraordinary event to hear the company announce the completion of a verified, ready for production product. With all of the due diligence you have posted, I am actually feeling rather optimistic.
Scouring the S4W website again,I saw this and had the same thought regarding VOXX's seriousness about the camera:
(inserted into the email chain)
Quote:

body camera has been co-developed in partnership by S4W and VOXX Advanced Solutions
Corporation (VASC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of VOXX International Corporation

"The Audiovox® S4W Body Camera is the only Body Camera available in the market today designed and spec’d for the Military, holding the most current and top level DoD IT and Information Assurance Accreditations and Compliance certifications available."
I also went though all of the S4W partners websites and no one, other than Neah, appears to be producing batteries or fuel cells.
One S4W partner is offering this:
"Registration for this Drone/sUAS Pilot Training Program Experience™ is $5,800 (includes a Phantom 3 Professional aircraft, 1 extra intelligent battery,"
http://flexrightsolutions.com/commercial-drones/
The intelligent battery for the Phantom 3 last only 23 minutes:

The hydrogen drones that I have seen so far all run off of compressed gas. The formic acid reformer will truly revolutionize this market IMO. Much more convenient, especially for military or covert operations.

Here's a thought... Holders of Series B stock....have a huge interest in the closing value of the stock...
The have the Dr in their pocket...
When they are done playing with the value of the stock then the news will come out...
Its really only them, and the Doc left. Everyone else ins in a different company different location.... No one sold any shares..that they did not buy back...
Notice there have not been any form 4 filed everyone in the know has kept their shares...
Some fiduciary duties to common shareholders has been bent to suit the groups that are left... failure to report new and forms...
but new will come out now that the stock has no when there's no room left for them do drive the price down and when they have completely loaded up on share to sell when new comes out...
IMO stick around the fun is about to begin again..News will be out soon.... and IMO a lot of it... And you will have to wonder where was that news before now...
The website is a joke and the accountant now controls the flow of information going out... how convenient wonder who's payroll he is on.
From the prior dealings..
. Holders of Series B have no redemption rights and each share of Series B is entitled to interest at a simple interest rate of 6% per annum. Series B is convertible, at the discretion of our management, into shares of our common stock, except that the holders of the Series B may elect to convert the Series B into common stock upon or after the resignation or termination of our Chief Executive Officer. The number of shares of common stock issuable upon conversion is calculated by (i) multiplying the number of Series B being converted by the per share purchase price received by the Company for such Series B , and then, multiplying such number by 130% and then dividing this calculated value by the average closing bid price, as defined, or by (ii) first, allocating the Series B proportionately according to the amounts by date of individual cash tranches received by the Company then, second, multiplying the number of Series B being converted, identified by tranche, by the per share purchase price received by the Company for such Series B, and then, multiplying such number or numbers by 130% and, finally, dividing the calculated value(s) by the average closing bid price, as defined. We have the right to redeem the Series B in cash at the face amount plus any accrued, but unpaid dividends.

CRITICAL NEED
Battery technology has advanced by leaps and bounds in the past decade, but current lithium-ion battery chemistries based on a high-energy cathode and a lithium-intercalation anode, such as graphite, are reaching some of their limits when it comes to providing high-energy-density power at a low cost per unit with low capital cost for production.
Replacing graphite with lithium metal or lithium alloy is a viable method to increase energy density. Neah Power Systems has patented a three-dimensional porous silicon based lithium-metal battery that has demonstrated 1,500 watts per liter of volume and 500 watts per kilogram. This battery uses older generation computer chip manufacturing technology that is widely available throughout the world, enabling a low cost, which the company targets at $150 per kilowatt hour in high volume production. Such a low price point would make the battery applicable across industries, from small devices such as cell phones to larger applications for stationary power, automotive and grid-scale back up. Such a foundry model allows a low capital-cost ramp up into high volume production, with very high quality control. Through the SBV Pilot, the company will utilize Argonne National Laboratory staff and expertise to determine the optimal metallization scheme for porous silicon as well as reliable and reproducible processes and insights into possible causes of degradation, capacity fade and dendrite growth.
PROJECT INNOVATION + ADVANTAGES
In addition to utilizing existing manufacturing technology, the battery uses existing materials for the anode, cathode, the separator and the electrolytes. This reduces the risk of new materials adoption and testing. The technology also includes a unique approach using microchip geometry to control dendrite growth. The understanding acquired through the project will improve the manufacturing of the porous silicon, in particular the metallization process. This will help the company achieve target metrics on cost, and performance, and allow longer cycle lifetime for the battery.
POTENTIAL IMPACT
Economy:
Developing new technologies that can piggyback on older industries preserves jobs, utilizes existing infrastructure and fosters opportunities in advanced manufacturing, including domestic job creation.
Environment:
Electric vehicles reduce pollution associated with gasoline combustion. Electricity storage is also an important complement for renewable electricity systems, which vary in how much power they produce based on local weather conditions.
Security:
Electric vehicles are increasingly cost-competitive with their gasoline counterparts, but consumers will remain hesitant to purchase them until their range grows longer. Higher penetration for such vehicles can dramatically reduce U.S. gasoline consumption and the country's resulting reliance on overseas oil markets.

Julia,
I contacted the PI (Ira Bloom) and here is his update on this project:
Greg: It took a while to get the CRADA paperwork in place. The CRADA was fully executed on 4/18/2017. We received the initial samples for characterization from NEAH Power. The samples were shipped to us on 5/26/2017 and were received in June. The baseline material was characterized in terms of microstructure; these results were shared with NEAH by e-mail and discussed with them on a phone call on 7/10/2017. We continue to characterize their materials and should have more results to share with them by the end of the week. --Ira
So, it looks like things are now on track and the project is underway.
