Just goes to show the institutional interest in the sector. The fact that JW and other cannabis mutual funds have them in their portfolio.
They should get insys out of their portfolio IMO.
Volume will come. The average person at first is gonna see the growers and dispensaries. Over time, people will come to realize that companies like Surna are the real infrastructure of this industry. I'm glad to be here early.
I love that Surna does so much business in Canada. The Canadian LP’s are gonna supply the world with cannabis. Did you all see that the owners of corona, constellation beverage company, is buying a 9.9% stake into a Canadian grower.
Unfortunately, our country is now being run by BLP's (backwards looking people), while Canada is being run by FLP's(forward looking people). Canada is gonna blow right past the US when it comes to weed. Even with California recreational, the US can not export cannabis to other countries. Canadian companies are already setting up deals with Germany, Australia, Brazil and other countries around the world. Canada will become the worlds supplier of cannabis!
Keep spreading the word. I have a summary of my top 5 cannabis stocks, and print a copy and give it to friends and co-workers all the time.
This dispute with NuLeaf is not the end of the world for Surna. I'm sure it will all get worked out. With Terra Tech announcing its partnership with NuLeaf, and Surna having a contract with NuLeaf, an indirect connection between two of my favorite cannabis stocks was made!
NuLeaf has a pretty good footprint in Nevada.

I think this is a great partnership for Terra Tech. Keeping the dispensaries supplied is key, and this partnership will help in that aspect.
Surna does have $1mil more assets then 6 months ago. Maybe the increase in cash and assets is from the revenue that came in from contacts that have been completed and paid for. They have signed new contracts in the 2nd qt which is why they again have 3mil plus sales contracts in their back log.
Quite the first post. Not even have the correct Qt results referenced. Why should any reasonable person believe this post?
We have $1mil more assets than we had 6 months ago. $3.9 mil worth of contracts signed. Not to shabby for this point in the game. Once competition between growers becomes more fierce, and regulations on pesticides become more stringent, growers will be almost forced to upgrade to a Surna system to stay competitive.
This is the Sessions effect in the industry. Cannabis businesses that want to build out and expand have been very cautious with the new administration and Sessions in particular. I don't doubt for one minute that most of the delays on the building of this industry and it's infrastructure (Surna) are due to Sessions and his stone aged view of cannabis.
Canada is gonna be huge for Surna in the next few years!
Thanks for the list. I don't see Nick Lachey's name anywhere. Lol
So 24 growers licenses available in Ohio. If Surna can get a contract with 4-6 of those growers that would be 16-25% of the market for the cannabis controlled environment agriculture business.
Not yet. Needs to come down to at least .19 maybe .17 to fill the gap.
Gaps always fill. Better to get it done now.
I like this part best:
"This is the 'big boy' state. If you are the 'who's who' of the cannabis industry, you are in Nevada because of our tourism."

Looks like Nevada is a go July 1st!
Is everyone in the sector waiting on the judge in Nevada?

It would be nice to see that Congress can actually get something done. Would be great for their public approval right now.
Maybe Supreme is going to get their recreational license from Canada and is going to be building a huge, brand new, super efficient hybrid grow house using Surna
Canadian company Supreme Pharmaceuticals was halted today at the company's request. The owner of supreme pharmaceuticals (Mr Bechtel) is one of the new directors of Surna. I believe the halt has to do with a license Supreme is obtaining from the Canadian government.
Mostly buys to start off the week. Large sized buys at that. Could be people betting on Sessions testimony tomorrow? Would be great for the industry for him to be gone.
A bipartisan amendment is under consideration by Congress that would allow federally-regulated banking institutions to do business with marijuana companies without fear of federal repercussions.
The amendment, brought forth by Florida Republican Matt Gaetz and Florida Democrat Darren Soto, would prohibit federal banking agencies from discouraging or penalizing banks for taking deposits from cannabis-related businesses that abide by state laws and regulations.
The Gaetz and Soto amendment is being proposed as an addition to the Financial Choice Act, which would roll back a lot of the Dodd-Frank regulation President Barack Obama signed in 2010.
Representatives for Gaetz’s and Soto’s offices were not immediately available for comment. The U.S. House of Representatives could vote on the Choice Act as early as Thursday.
Looks like maybe .1111 is a triple bottom. Vote today possibly paves the way for the banks! Nevada legal weed goes live in a few weeks!
Exactly why these Canadian contracts and partners are huge. There is no question as to how the Canadian government is going to accept recreational cannabis. The entire country of Canada will enjoy recreational cannabis July 2018. The companies that have Canadian licenses are not afraid to spend money on the growth of their business. They do not fear that the industry will be shut down in Canada.
I know I'm correct. Surna environmental controls are not as expensive as you make them out to be. The grower who chooses efficiency may pay slightly higher installation cost up front, but those costs will be returned immediately. The cost of production for the efficient greenhouse will be less per pound of product. Which will result in more profit. When competition gets tight, the efficient greenhouses will rise above with lower overhead per pound of product.
No dude, your wrong. Energy savings are immediate and give a huuuge advantage over the competition.
I'm guessing this is going to move up quite a bit yet. My feeling is .35-.40 range.
Gamblin Pennies is right. This may be a good deal for Aurora in the long term, but dilution is dilution is dilution.
Don't think they would be using BC Northern lights in a commercial grow of Aurora's size. BC Northern products seem to be geared more toward the home grower, and not very advanced tech wise.
Who does Aurora currently use for lighting and environmental controls?
My guess is a major Canadian contract.
Why is this halted this morning?
I couldn't agree more! The greenhouses and grow rooms have to be built first! Picks and shovels.
About time this turned around. Now let's see that potential!
Not once the potential is realized.
It's hard to believe that the price of Surna is the same that it was before California, Nevada, Maine & Massachusetts voted in favor of legal recreational cannabis & before Surna lowered its debt.
