Ah I didn't think of that possibility. Thats down right sneaky and maybe a little dirty but I guess thats what makes them the MMs.
actually....I have acumulated a few g's playing this stock already so if you don't mind I'll stay. Just trying to learn a bit from the short squeeze players. I like charts with lots of ups and downs and moderate to more than moderate volume. If I can't swing 10,000 shares or so my game is done.
The otcmarkets site shows the last short interest to be april 13th which means (as I understand it)if rule 3210 applies, it should have covered by now. With the price slowly declining since then how does one tell that the positions have or have not covered?
Thanks for the support tiesto and I'm in agreement about generally never touching these pinks, however, when this thing is trading at 3 or 4 cents varrying a day and the volume is up, daytrading 10,000 shares or so can add a couple hundred bucks a day to your net worth. (I know about capital gains but thats what attracted me)What puzzles me is the insistance to buy and buy and buy and hold and the refusal to believe that a number of shares could be entered into the market at anytime by the company to facilitate an aquisition, make payroll, buy new equipment or whatever.
Thank you for the reply sensei but I have seen this site, My question was, and I paraphrase...are these bands as relavant a tool as others (such as the mac d) when playing a stock like this one. This stock crossed the upper band back in march which as I see it should have predicted an upward trend which is not exacctly what happened. Also it hasn't crossed below the lower band in a year (got close) which would normally indicate a buying oppertunity. Its the study of these bands that has made me wonder what factors you guys watch in determining when to play and when to stay. I get my chart info from msn and studied the trend on a 1 year chart.
Do you believe your actions do? would you like to know about the epa or permits or operating permits or lease agreements or any other such thing....do your own dd
But not removed
Thanks sly I get that now. The civil reply is much appreciated.I did a bit of third party research such as the article I posted about and learned a bit last night. As I said not my normal style of trading. never had to call a transfer agent to make a purchase desission.
Investopedia I find has a great explanation of the questions posed today in an article named "The Basics Of Outstanding Shares And The Float" as well as much more useful info. its a good read
I saw two amendments, one showing the 2 billion number the second showing 1/2 billion. No information explaining the dissolution of the 1.5 billion that supposedly no longer exist. Therefore I concluded the totals were cumulative. I didn't say bullshtuff or anything like that I asked if someone could explain the forms and how the issuance of these stocks worked into the float and the number of outstanding shares. I was called many names and chastised for my stupidity but never explained why those shares don't count. Aren’t they there for the company to sell to generate revenue to further their ability to acquire new plants or pay the light bill or whatever they want? I normally trade tried and true companies that aren't so speculative. I look for companies that have been around but are down down down. Last January Ford was under $2.00 a share and a we more than a year later a high over 13. I don't know how many shares there are, what the float was or is, and I don't care. Ford for around 2.00 is a great big gotta have. And a 5 bagger for ones time is good enough for me. Fundamentals are key on that playing field.
You make me wonder if something is up way more than the company does.
I'm not. I asked about company filings from someone I thought might have more knowledge then me to help me understand. I thanked you for the obvious direction you pointed me in and I agreed it was a good place to start
Believe it or not I have added a few g’s to my net worth this year....but these pennies and the short squeeze and other such things are new to me but really intriguing. My DD usually revolves around the actual business not the percentage of outstanding shares and shorts. I am trying to learn this methodology as I see a lot of you players don't seem to care about company fundamentals as much as how the MMs are going to be able to cover their short position. I get that and am trying to learn but as with buying a car I'm used to believing my mechanic rather than the guy selling the car. Thus I look to verify PRs, company filings, third party info etc. etc. I see that my long term strategies are not as relevant in this type of environment. I’m trying to play nice and thought my questions were asked in a polite and considerate manner.
The two ammendments were confusing to me but as I find the second can superceed the first. To me some wording on the second ammendment indicating the dissolution of the first would have made it more clear in my wittle bitty brain.
Not trying to be a smart a$$ I swear, but how do we know they haven't become part of the float? I really am a novice at this stock market thing and I am on topic so a little help is greatly appreciated.
Also the amendment filed July 7th 2009 allowed for the issuance of 2 billion shares common and another 10 million shares of preferred. Those two amendments lead me to believe that since July they have added 2.5 billion shares of common stock and another 20 million shares of preferred so how does that affect the "squeeze"
Well sea....if you ask my wife!! :o) But seriously I am a novice at this stock thing so if you could excuse our past discretions and explain something to me I would be grateful. Everyone is talking about the short squeeze and the limited number of shares available. If I’m reading it right, the amendment posted by the corporation on 3-16-2010 that they have the authority to issue 1/2 billion shares of common stock and another 10 million shares of preferred stock. Doesn’t this add to the float and wouldn't that lend to an ample supply of shares for whoever wants them or do you believe these shares have been used up.
maybe soon
I wonder about the complete shutdown of the pr machine. 4.33333 prs a month for the first three months of the year, and then nothing. Are they saving up their pennies for more acquisitions?
Sea is that you? What brings about this somewhat abrupt change?
also was "conpany" a keyboard slip or a Freudian one?
Yes thank you sea
e: "as they expand the business into multiple states"
won't they need an environmental lawyer on their payroll in each and every state they plan to operate in to help them procure the necessary permits to legally operate their machines in those states?
f:"(capacity of 4,000 barrels)"
4000 x 42 gals per barrel = 168,000 gals is that a lot? How is that storage broken down? A certain percentage must hold slop but we must have a certain percentage to hold products and waste. This product will have to be moved by tanker trucks I would assume with a capacity of around 6-8 thousand gals no? To maintain enough product to run continuously and to keep from exceeding the capacity of their tank farm won’t they have to be moving quite a lot of trucks in and out of that place?
As per your last post I also “hope some of this information might help some of the newer investors here regarding what this company is about and refresh the memories of some that have been here awhile”
d: "There is NO reason to believe the company is not continuing aggressively its mission to buy properties"
Except for the lack of real financial data that would indicate to us how many resources are available to them to procure said properties. Also if CCP makes a killing but all of its other "acquisitions" tank how do you think the bottom line of grno will be affected?
Perhaps their creative license caught up with them
Your handle is so appropriate but let us not forget Matthew 7:15
Why would it be bad if that was an old Jims water service site? I don't get your implication?????
Them big black thing are retention ponds I believe
Spoke to a dude who works for a company called Production somethin or other down the block
Isn't that Jims Water Service. or at least I think it was
