well art, obviously you didn't read my post..I said I disagree with ronnie on this..I didn't call him a saint..secondly he apologized for the neo nazi comment, thirdly, have you learned ANYTHING over the last year from his posts, prior to this big blowup? Thats my point, it is in everyones best interst to learn all they can and have enough smarts to dispose of what you don't believe applies...chill out
very good post plumear...a must read for all..art you should read this with an open mind. Its not about for and agaisnt IDCC, I hold all my shres LONG but am a fool if I don't at least listento opinions of all. Heck it works both ways, if I had only listened to some of the original RB regular board I would have sold a long time ago. TO make intellegent decisions in life it helps a bunch to LISTEN to varying perspectives and opinions. Although ronnie and I may differ somehwat on this particular point it certainly is worth listening to..your points are too...
mschere, so you, like me, expect them to get 100% of what they have publicly stated.....hope we are right, they have set themselves up for stardom or failure tossing those numbers out, time will tell and I can definitely wait and keep adding shares on those dips
mschere, you appear to be as informed as anyone here regarding IDCC. We have time and time again seen the projected NOK numbers that IDCC publicly acknowledged posted on the board. In your opinion what do you think NOK will really end up paying for 2002?
sloane6, did you read that correctly, 2002? That was last year.....old news, no bearing today IMO
Danny...IMO the absolute BEST post in the last 6 weeks on this board. Thank you for the solid breakdown of what we have been seeing here, maybe it will open a few eyes and get those eyes back on the ball.
Amen, Jim....I have pretty much quit posting and don't even like to read here anymore as the board has taken on a hateful tone.Honestly 90% of the posters here are adding nothing and even the "most popular" have become detrimental and nothing but a group taking sides. That is not what this is about. We are here to share ideas and opinions and the lack of tolerance by many has raised the back hair of so many and torn the positives off this board. Its too bad because I have learned more on this board regarding my dd on IDCC than any other source. Hope we weather this storm and get things back on track...All of you posting 99% of these posts should just go away...or shut up
MyDime...I can't say with certainty but one of our most esteemmed posters confided that "darrell" has been out of IDCC for a number of months....no way I can confirm but he was very confident in his statement that Corp has traded IDCC for some time and now was out....
amidst all the crud here today, does anyone have an inside track to someone that might be attending Piper Jaffrey conference. I would rather hear how that went than all this mumble jumble
to be honest I was riding the fence on this one up until a couple of days ago but this does it for me...I will vote my shares yes!!!! What is the reason for the PR, do they think they are telling people something they don't know already? What good is this meant to do? Answer me Ross Richardson, or whomever hired him that obviously posts here..
anyone here care to fess up and admit they are Ross Richardson just so we know who was behind this....and who is "a spokesman for me"!
well if that is what you all wanted...it looks like you got the exposure...I certainly hope this doesn't blow up in our face......finally get things rolling and now a little "revolt"...I guess we will see what happens
we'll see some dumpers going into the close, hope we kick the crud out of them....how many shares traded yahoo says 3.6 mil, scottraders says 2.3?
my3sons, he knows what a mistake he's made that is why he is working so hard to do anything to push it back down...any fool that listened to that cc and came out thinking IDCC is doomed is either on crack, stupid, or destined for the mental ward...I have never felt so good about this investment as I do today...that includes the runup of 99
go to any one of his posts...click on his name and it will bring up a page that has a number of blue "link-looking" items, click "hide this poster", he will be off your radar. Make sure to sign back in whenever you come back to the board so that the filter is enabled
Ge Jim, you out there...I certainly hope you didn't part with many shares the other day.....or got back in with as many as you wanted....
mo lar, just put Once on ignore as I did earlier today...if you didn't buy a membership, just skip over his posts without reading a word...life is grand and we made the right choice....enjoy the day and the many happy months and years ahead
ams didn't sound that way to me, they simply have taken the next step in the process to basically force their hand. Discussions have been ongoing (which isn't the same as doing nothing as you said) but they are essentially heeding the call to move it forward NOW instead of a leisurely approach....
thanks goodness...I thought you may have thought you were missing some entertainment watching him struggle to explain the success that is evident going forward..
Danny don't do it..he just went back on from me...he has no credibility and is really struggling to find something...
keep trying Once as you play the game the share price keeps rising...first time that I cna remember that price rises during cc...
ssstttrettttcccchhhhhh Once, hardly, are you listening? I know it peeves you but the fact is this is just getting rolling...
howard....best show ever in cannes..constantly met with operators and manufacturers and many were seeking out IDCC vs IDCC chasing after them...very bullish on how things are going from that standpoint
TC asked about sharp license update...merritt expects that it will be updated in 2nd qtr..and would be retroactive
I'm liking what Merritt is saying!!!!!!!!!!!!
cc in now underway.....Rip not there again...hhhmmmmm
mschere, what are your feelings on todays earnings based on this past post?
I expect IDCC to report 60 Cents fully diluted..And If Nokia and Samsung merely indicate that they recognize IDCC's 2G royalty OBLIGATION ... Then I expect IDCC to add another 30 cents to their recurring royalty numbers for the first Quarter.and another $2 as other income.
For the life of me.....Was not one of the biggest question marks coming into today "Where Nokia situation stood"? So why is it that when people question this other people get so upset. Dang man its meant to be discussed. If they had said Nokia money was in the bank, there would have been discussion about it then too, right. #2, it might be best to wait until after the conference call before we pass judgement on some of this stuff...MAYBE they will offer some clarity on some of the questions that are popping up.
Anybody care to take a stab at what this means....??? Is this this part of the "days" to negotiate as alluded to in past cc or is this that "next step" that was alluded to, and I am not using "the" word
contractual resolution process with Nokia to determine the royalties to be paid under its license agreement
I hear ya dozer....one of the few I took a flyer on based on message board chit chat....I bought about 30000 shares but that was back at 25 cents so good old IDCC has me more than covered. I didn't dig into it at all and take full responsibility for the buy....hoping for good things tomorrow on the iDCC side, I'm as nervous as a virgin on prom night right now...just a wee bit concerned over hearing nothing since ERICY settlement...maybe thats a good thing this time around...I just wish I had that 30000 shares of IDCC!!!
Jimlur....any thoughts on the quartely report from Migratech today....not sounding good at all to me...stock down 41% today, any thoguhts
Danny...lol, considering the weight of tomorrows situation, it is kind of goofy for me to say my opinion only, I am probably with the majority here on that one
linedrivehitter...depends on tomorrow's cc bigtime, IMO. Right or wrong the market might not like it if we find out Nok is still negotiating. If that has been put to bed and the numbers were close to what was alluded to in the last cc....goodbye 25..26..27....28...hello low 30's...my opinion only
sjratty, I believe it was May 3, 2000...just via a quick check so I might be wrong...I really think we will today..
AMS13, for me I think you have hit the nail on the head. I believe that most of the people here would be absolutely fine with the extra shares if somewhere it said they were earmarked for the producing engineers. Most assume that the engineers will get a few and the exec's will get the majority. I don't know if that is correct but to my knowledge, it doesn't spell that out in the proxy. I am awaiting more information either tomorrow or via a phone call I hope to have returned before I make my decision. I am keeping an open mind at this point in time. My initial knee jerk reaction was no more for Harry and the boys until we see what happens with Samsung, NOK, and for me 3G deal with ERICY....
keep on selling those phones and we will keep on collecting!!!!! Go Samsung, come on NOK. 1st qtr was way ahead of forecasts for sales. This was copied from yahoo....
Cell Phone Shipments Surpassed 1Q Estimates, Report Says
By TOM BECKER
Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
NEW YORK -- The number of cell phones shipped in the first quarter surpassed industry estimates by as much as 20%, according to a note published Thursday by Merrill Lynch.
Shipments by the top two vendors - Nokia Corp. (NOK) and Motorola Inc. (MOT) - were down sequentially 18% and 15%, respectively, and the surge in the market was driven by Samsung Corp. (Q.SSG) and other smaller players.
Another reason for the growth is the surge in shipments at Samsung, the third-largest handset vendor in the world. Samsung shipped 13.2 million handsets in the quarter, a 1.2 million increase over the December quarter and a 3.2 million increase over the year-ago quarter. The numbers gave Samsung a 12.4% market share in the first quarter compared with a 9.3% market share in last year's fourth quarter and a 10.8% share of the market in the first quarter of 2002. For the 2002 year, Samsung had a 9.8% market share, according to the report.
teecee, and that is? Help a slow guy out..btw I am thrilled with IDCC's performance over the last few weeks. I think good financial news will be upon us next week in the cc.
no talk of ANY of his individual stocks in the value fund....only a graph on the performance of his value fund, story more geared to his very bullish feelings right now.......
