Hmmm...something sure doesn't seem right about that A/S count , especially considering that the SP is in the tank & 50+M were traded today alone...1/6th of the entire 298M A/S & a tad more than a 1/4 of the entire 188M O/S , all in one day ? Can't say as that computes for me...new-age accounting methods perhaps[?].

I'll settle for a QMC express train to success, with a very loud horn ;)
Retired for a few years but got bored...back into the solar contracting biz again.
"How is it a positive sign?? ".........
it is a positive in the fact that it represents a payment structure that pays-out significant incremental returns over a 3 year period...the more successful & long-lived QMC is , the more Sri makes. I also think it reasonable to suspect that the finer details of his employment contract would include lessons-learned from the Dr.Bob fiasco. To wit; a deceleration-clause for milestones not met , unsatisfactory performance , termination & a clawback provision for unearned monies...& to be in compliance with legalities of a binding contract , a matching acceleration-clause for deadlines met, significant milestones achieved, accelerated commercialization etc , all-of-which goes to hinge the fate of incentives & bonuses in one form or another [possibly even incl these warrants].
In essence; Sri stands to become a very wealthy man if this venture proves successful & everything about this contract (as has been divulged so far) means he (& the company) either become successful , or he walks away with relatively empty pockets...that's a pretty hefty incentive & has also been the primary remunerative basis & goal for a number of other QMC employee's continuing efforts as well (5, 6 or 7 years-worth in some cases).
That's the way I see it anyway.

I have no idea...people 'say' lots of things. Must not be all that bad since QMC (thru thick & thin) never went to pinky BK-land, is still viable & relevant & is still moving forward with a fair chance at success. And as long as that's the case, I don't much care about rumors or who wears the crown.

Dr.Jabbour & Craig Lindberg, right[?]
http://www.qmcdots.com/company-board.php
Yep...seems to show the big picture ;)
Big-who[?], never heard of em. "Under what circumstances would SS step down from BOD"...I couldn't really say, there might be any number of reasons (strategic or otherwise) for all I know, but I won't hazard any guesses, as 'guesses' have no particular usefulness or merit. Have to just wait & see I reckon...in the meantime, all signs look green to me ;)
O.K. , like I said; "I must have missed" the part about the BOD...thx for pointing that out. Beyond that & all "theories" aside; where does any of this indicate he was "removed" (as-in: dumped) as stateside CEO , as opposed to actively participating in the re-assignment of tasks & positions[?]...which appears to be a shrewd move & ultimately beneficial to all parties involved.
Jamis...I must have missed that...where does the recent PR indicate SS was unceremoniously demoted or removed from the BOD[?]. As logic would dictate from my perspective, SS was (& remains) deeply involved in all-things-QMC , & unless shown otherwise, likely played a big part in installing Sri as the CEO & figurehead of the stateside display division...which is obviously a wise move. None of that takes away from SSs' overall importance in company operations as far as I can see & frees him up to closely monitor & direct the Chinese display operations , as well as bringing Solterra out of cold storage. Sorry, but I can't seem to find any negatives in all the recent activities.
It's hard to say with any certainty...the on-again / off-again relationship LG has with QDots (if any) has been mired in the mostly-erroneous tech rumor mills for a few years now. Like the numerous false reports leading-up to the unveiling of LGs' QDTV at CES2015....which didn't happen that way, at all. It was Samsung with their SUHD QDTV's that took center stage.
My takeaway[?]...until I see QD components specified in black & white on the LG website &/or formally documented by an LG supplier, I'll take it with a grain of salt.
Hmmm...LG into QDots afterall[?]...says so here w/ their new LG X Mach smartphone:

Conceptualizing & being the driving force behind moving this multi-faceted cutting-edge technology forward into a diverse array of markets is one thing , running a business on-par with competitive big league corporate interests can be quite another. It is a rare person that can navigate both major tasks to their full potential [Bill Gates & Steve Jobs as notable exceptions]. For the rest of humanity , being able to appropriately delegate authority to the best person for the job is a sign of prudent leadership. I see no downsides to this significant development whatsoever & applaud SS & the BOD for continuing to make the right moves in a timely fashion & fully accept this announcement at face-value as a Win-Win. Further; I consider having the Regional North American VP (Sri) for the highly regarded SID , sign-on to such an extent with QMC as being another meaningful accreditation to QMCs' credibility & viability in the marketplace.
