I can remember it because the stock was around 93 cents at the time and I was thinking of selling my shares halfway thru the meeting. Tom Z. and Joe Miller rescued the meeting from Marcelli and Eaton with some very effective speeches. Now we are close to 3 years removed form that day and the stock languishes at 76 cents. Not exactly what I thought would be the outcome but it is what it is.
He is correct. I believe those words were uttered at the 2011 ASM.
X is right. Some of the posters here should sell and move on. This stock has been a real dud and might continue it's aimless wandering until one day it doesn't. I cut my position here to a bare minimum and am happy I did. Not happy about the loss but the stress level has dropped dramatically.
My one smart move was to diversify and my other positions have recouped my losses here plus a nice profit. In the speculative world, it is tough to put all your bags in one basket. If one hits, you can afford losses elsewhere.
Make you own decisions and do not rely on other posters to shape your sentiment or position.
All I have at the moment are paper profits. I am a realist and never count on anything.
I would have to believe funds are believing what Mark and others are telling them about the project and testing the waters. It is hard to get funds to buy in to a penny stock for various reasons.
I still believe we are not around come 12-18 months from now. A big player or players will not want us as a partner and gobble us up.JMHO
I have been promoting NIO for close to 3 years and I would say only 3-5% of my pitch was acted on. Between myself and friends, we probably hold 2 million plus shares.
I would make a lousy broker.
Volume starting to increase on a daily basis. Not sure how long we will sustain this move higher without a catalyst and that might be farther out than some believe. Other than that observation, I would love to see us base and then move in rapid succession on good news.
I do know that funds are beginning to wet their beak and that is a great sign. Some of us have been sitting on Quantum for a few years and we have now shed that title and low PPS. Trying to do my best to get the company some more publicity and help any way I can. We have not even scratched the surface on visibility.
Keep your eye on Invesor. A valuable part of this board.
Long and strong.
You can ask Walter. Stop putting blinders on and do a reality check.
The PPS has moved 1/2 cent from when the news broke. Tells me no one is impressed. Tom has been CEO for close to 24 months. The PPS has dropped 63% in that time. Case closed.
That would require that IR would have to work. Does the company actually pay 2 companies for doing non-existent PR work.
Very impressive week.
Stock has held it's ground and inched higher even with the pullback in the overall market. It has given longs a chance to sell but it appears that new investors are coming on board instead. Looking forward to some company updates in the near future concerning met. results.
Your concern should be the trading in Canada and that is touching 52 week highs. Much more volume and the bulk of trading is on the V.
Walter, you have been very instrumental in the recent success of NIO and this board should know that. Without your help, much needed funds would not have made it into the coffers as well as European investors becoming aware of the tremendous opportunity to invest in a gem.
The other stock has a been a nightmare and I wish my brother never introduced me to it. The potential is enormous if they pull it off but it just seems to be one misstep after another. I am not invested at present.
Nio looks like it could be a nice money maker for early investors.
Smith is fantastic as usual but the interview was a jumbled mess. He needs a major presentation when they get their results in and leave these high school interviews behind. If you cannot ask questions without stuttering, do not bother to ask them.
Do you ever wonder where we would be without the addition of Smith. I am grateful for Dickie in that he was responsible for keeping the company afloat when they were cash poor. Hopefully both men will be rewarded for their efforts.
I am moving to the Virgin Islands and buying a villa and women. I do not have the rap that I once did and do not have the energy. Money makes it easier to buy things I like. I hope my wife will understand.
Love to see Mark on Fox or Bloomberg. I should contact Eric Boling and see if he can plug the stock.
I believe that the only thing that could slow this down is if Yellowstone National Park erupts and then it will not matter to any of us.
I am not sure but I believe Jim and Tom do not have a lot of money between them. Contrast that with my other investment NIoCORP and the new CEO bought 9.4 % of the company within months after taking the helm.
They are doing what they have to. The final outcome will be what contacts and dealings Smith can make when the results are finalized. We are going to the highest bidder within 18 months. I am hoping we are over 1 dollar by then.
I follow the Canadian market and am hoping for a push through 30 cents. 27.5-28 seems like resistance. We could use the met results ASAP.
I do not have much left Gates. This company has been one excuse after another and I bailed in December only to but back a sliver in January. It is funny that posters here attack one another but the frustration should be leveled at management. I just do not think Tom and jim are cut out to run the show but that is the hand we are dealt.
I remember asking questions about insider buying at the ASM meetings a few years ago and they were in the process of setting up accounts so that would be able to transpire. Still waiting for that to happen. There just seems to be no direction and the many companies and universities they had supposed agreements with have never come to fruition. To be honest, I do not think anyone knows what is going to happen with Lightwave and unless you start asking the hard questions , you will never get an answer. I remember asking a BOD member about their relationship with EM Photonics and the rumor they had cut bait. He told me emphatically that they were involved still with the company. Next day a PR is issued that they severed ties. If he was kept out of the loop, how do you think shareholders will fare.
The move to Colorado for new headquarters is asinine but when the two biggies of the company live ther, it makes sense(lol). Governor Of Delaware visits the company and they move to Colorado. You have to be kidding me.
I am just curious X, is this your hard earned money at work here or did you inherit it? I would be livid at the way things have been run but you seem to have a different attitude for having this much quid on the line.
Gotta jog.
If that stock goes to one dollar, I will move there to support the economy.
I do not think Smith will sell this company under 3 dollars a share. IMO
I have no idea. What are your projections?
I am Invesors wing man. I will guarantee that NIO never opens that mine and we will be going straight to the South Pacific. NIO does the initial work and then they are just a fly on the elephant's ass. I will be willing to be swatted away for 4 dollars a share.
I am still in the swamp cage but it looks like Rambo has entered the camp and is taking no prisoners.
Fun will be when the stock moves 5-7 cents on two million shares. Right now this feels like being in a North Vietnamese prison camp waiting for Rambo to come to the rescue.
I was hoping they were at least 75% done. I thought the study commenced in November but I am not quite sure. Was also hoping we would be in the 35-40 cent range by now but that is not the case.
Bernice,
Thank Walter C., Mark Smith, Shawn W., and Peter Dickie for most of this.
Looking forward to the met. results. They should be due very soon. This stock needs to get moving up and base higher to gather investor interest. It is languishing right now.
I am happy they only took in 5-5.2 million so far. Lees dilution is better for shareholders. Now I want to start seeing the met. results and other news to get the PPS moving.
lmao. Clean up the dog**** and hold the lantern.
We need a shot in the arm here. That world tour seems like 5 years ago. No one is buying or selling.
If Nio goes bust, I will be the caretaker on the Wayne estate.
What is the tax conversion rate? What if the stock goes bust?
I sat thru 3 ASM's and finally said enough.Just not worth getting frustrated over so I cut back significantly and moved on. If it runs, you will always get a chance to get back in even if this is higher.Too many people will be happy to unload on the next run up.
Far from an insider and been out of the game for over a decade. Look here LWLG is listed and that should explain it all. We are in the land of the abyss.
In my day, mm's wanted volume and volatility. LWLG has neither. There is no money to be made here from a trading perspective. I is hope and hold and then maybe down the road you hit and the price and volume increase. It is too costly now for most firms to even carry a trading desk. I think the last crumbs are in venture capital and distressed markets. Private equity is the new term and it is too a hard shell to open. Thank Congress, big firms and regulators for killing a once great business.
There are not many market makers left and believe me none in this stock. That business has been dead for many years.
NIne years of owning LWLG and you throw the word celebrating into the mix. How about 5 years of carrying this POS on my sheets(except for a brief hiatus in Dec.) and wondering why I listen to certain people. Maybe the answer is somewhere in between Pitcook.
Let us hope all the crap is in the toilet now and you can flush the bowl.
Be nice if they held the ASM in Costa Rica. I guarantee shareholders from the barrio would get answers to their questions.
