This video doesn't reveal anything we didn't already know. They will still need to use the Xi platform. The two main selling points of Titan's SPORT system are lower cost and portability. Intuitive addresses neither of these withe their SP advancement.
Yep!!!!!
TRXC is moving a little this morning...
I totally agree with Chickenlips. Some real news on progress is way overdue!
You can't think in terms of "pennies" as far as a stock pps goes. You have to think in terms of percentages lost/gained. A few cents up or down on Titan today is equivalent to several dollars up or down on ISRG.
If Titan, or any other publicly traded company, doesnt care about the investors, they shouldn't be a public company!
There is a point that a long-term investor will reach where he/she feels that a better ROI can be achieved elsewhere. Titan is far from that point but they shouldn't make it a practice to sit on news, good or bad!
To say a public company is not interested in its ahareholders day-to-day is false!
Im not saying anyone is in trouble. I am debating your statement about a company's interest, or lack of interest, in its stakeholders!
That's not necessarily true! When a company is in trouble they sure as hell take a huge interest in their stockholders / stakeholders.
Shareholders are not only investors, they are owners in the company and it's up to management to produce gains for them. The company cannot survive without them.
I agree. At the very least a "teaser" prior to the annual meeting to get people talking. You can't tell me they don't have any info to share at this time.
You can say that about alot of companies in many different sectors. I like to think big too but to throw around the numbers some people do on this board, at this stage of the game, is a bit too much to take sometimes. Trust me, I'd LOVE to see it hit 300 to 500 at some point. But all I want now is incremental increase based on good news about the progress, leading to approval and commercialization. This thing needs to be successfully marketed and utilized before we start thinking about the potential success of the company. Steve Jobs failed at Apple before he succeeded.
Agree but we could use some news to get us in the range to uplist.
...getting way ahead of yourself to make that comparison. Titan has vision. Everything else remains to be seen at this point.
CUIN, you are an awesome resource, very intelligent, and I admire the passion you have for Titan. The excitement around SPORT is valid...
BUT,
Apple?
Exactly! We need to think in terms of $10 dollar pps increments over the next 36 months... that is more realistic!
Ive been thinking about the buyout possibilities more and more this week. If bought, and we transition our shares to the new company, are we better off with a JnJ or a smaller company like Stryker or Covidien? Marketing wise, JnJ is a guarantee for product sales but future profit more calculated. With a smaller company, sales may be a bit slower but share growth may increase quicker. Thoughts?
Also, obviously JnJ will not be a 1:1 buyout. The smaller companies give us a better chance to hold on to more shares.
I cannot see that happening. Yes the market will be larger but in five years or so, there will be more "players" as well. Folks, we are not going to see ISRG-type highs. ISRG owns the market alone right now.
Lets just hope that in five years, if Titan is still in it for themselves, that their innovation AND marketing/promotions is enough to push their pps between 80 and 100!
As excited as I am about Titan, $500 is a pipe dream.
Regardless of whether he's a day trader or long-term investor, he's still a tool. I wasnt commenting on his strategy... I was pointing out his personality, or lack thereof! I have more vulgar terms to describe him but this is a financial board and not a social chat room! His name says it all though!
...with that said, that PoopMonster guy on the Yahoo Finance board is a tool!
Im in agreement w/ Wildbilly... This "my company is better than yours" stuff is get'n kind of old! Smack talk is fun but I'm a capitalist and I want EVERYONE to prosper. There is always an "unknown" when one invests. Due diligence should alleviate most of the restlessness each of us may encounter when we plunk down a chunk of $ on a speculative investment. Each of us has our own opinion on what makes a sound investment. In the long run, let's hope we all make wise choices!
I agree... with the investor pullback of ISRG, Titan has a nice opportunity to gain some investor traction. There are lots of sour ISRG stockholders and former stockholders out there. Give them a reason to jump onboard Mr Hargrove! If anything, let's set our sights at an uplist to NASDAQ!
Good info! I always worry about how media spins this kind of news. Many writers have agendas and, in this case, might make it appear as though the problem is with surgical robots. The average investor without a medical background or interest in medicine will get the wrong message just from the headline.
Barring negative company news, national economic collapse or catastrophic natural disaster, PPS will be somewhere between $4.50 and $5.50 by 7/15 and hopefully flirting with $9 - $10 by November.
lol, gotta hand it to the guy, he riled up the masses at a perfect time.
GREAT selling point!
Good post!
Nothing happening to the ISRG pps upon their announcement.
Since the market is closed today - on the lighter side...

Maybe Titan can program the SPORT System to physically take out the Da Vinci!
It was a very small amount in relationship to his entire holdings. It occurred back in mid March I think.
Great points and Happy Eater!
And a false statement!
I get there's a difference in perception of pharma vs device. I'm not making that comparison. There are good and bad reps in both parts of the industry. Im in hospitals and clinics weekly, auditing clinical trial data. I see the dynamics at play and I hear what physicians say. Regardless of which part of the industry you are in, you have to earn the respect of the docs.
Good point!
Yep, start getting the word out... and tell people about this board as well. There is safety and knowledge in numbers! So many here know their stuff. Im certainly glad I found it.
Fair argument!
IMost physicians have issues with reps in pharma and devices for various reasons (salary, persistence, product, personality, etc). We want Titan's field force to be ethical but we also want them to be aggressive.
Exactly! He will most likely accumulate more over time, he owns more than anyone else, To cash in roughly $400k shouldn't be alarming.
12k is a nice base! Nothing to scoff at. You are better off than all those people with less... or none! Just buy more when/if you can and have a comfortable "cut-off" point for your per share average.
