I did a lot of research on the Le Scipion back when it was first announced. I posted several links on the dpbm blog. Too tired tonight to go through my notes, but I do remember that there were two accounts of what happened to the Le Scipion.
First, was the British boarded and claimed the ship, took it back to England and commissioned the ship as British and re named it.
Second, The Le Scipion won the battle and smashed into the rocks the next day or a couple of days later.
How many Navy boys on the Blog? My question being, if you were out to sea and got paid, what in the hell would you do with it, gamble it away with the other sailors, spend what you could at port, if there was a port, if they did stop. Maybe you would leave your pay in the safe until you reached home port, maybe they had not stopped at a port in months so maybe the payroll is larger. If you did have your pay in the bunk area, and you had to get off the ship fast you might not have grabbed all that gold and silver. I know there are one heck of a lot of maybes in that paragraph, but I think they are valid maybes.
I have quite a large selection of notes, and copies of the old blog on file backed up on the good ol Maxtore 250 gig auto backup system.
From what I remember Wilf said that there was quite a bit of overburden to move, I would have guessed that most of the first week was using the blow boat to get to where you could at least work, otherwise why rent a blow boat at who knows how much. Must have needed it for a reason.
This could be the week.
Looks like DPBM has the Forum board on a test pattern, no posting just reading from the companys posts. Some pics of the boat they are working on. To me, the work looks good, will be interesting to see it done and functional. I would love to work on my boat for a while like that, no doubt she needs it. Off to the Coast to see the Seahawks Training camp. Oh yeah looks like we got some D
Well I still believe, call me a koolaid drinker or whatever. I am very optimistic.
I do believe that Wilf is a smart individual, and probably has done some things with the business that are in the grey area, we all do. I am NOT calling capted a liar, but have to think that Wilf is sharper then to buy the vehicles with shareholder funds and then transfer them into another company that he is the Sole Proprietor of the same with the boats, I do believe that they are in another companies name or some sort, but for protection of assets rather then to hide or manipulate the situation. Again I could be 100% wrong, but with a long paper trail who knows what would come of it. I am hoping that Wilf can whiten up his name on the blogs with a good find and a repeated recovery system. Time will tell, it aint over yet.
Good post sonofasailor, I somewhat mirror that reflection about discerning for ourselves.
Yeah I guess it could be, just seems there is more to it that I do not understand.
I guess a stop sign is a good waring that nothing has been filed. and MORE DD might be required. I would not say that it is NOT a bad thing, but better then the x bones, hope we do not move to that.
The stop sign means no information has been provided or has not been processed. Hemi has one too.
TAZ and family the very best to you and all of yours. Glad to hear that you can follow your dream, life is way too short not do try to do that. Good luck and BE SAFE. Thanks for all of your effort and help over that last couple of years. I appreciate it.
600,000 shares and we are up, that sounds good to me. Keep er going
yes you are correct, but why buy???? Why spend 2,000.00 or 20.00 or 2.00 if the stock is sooo doomed?? Is it the MM's trying to load up thinking the stock is going up? People with the know????
yardboy had/has a good question in my eyes, who is buying blocks of 200,000 shares?????????? if this company is dead, who and why are they buying large blocks of shares??????
I think the big difference is that OMR so far has nothing, well yes the posses the gold and silver but how long will it be tied up in courts? Now what would that stock continued to do if OMR could just take it all and do what they want, now that would be different I do believe, I do not think 40.00 but close maybe.
I do believe that the Kirby deal is next August with restricted shares. Not sure who or how much there are out there besides them. Could be Brolin, not sure his exact deal.
yardboy, you are not pushing hard enough, dang blast it, help me push this thing up, I cant do it all buy myself, come on people PUSH, on 3. 1….2….3 heave, there we go see it went up a lil
What service do you use for your L2?
yeppers, and I do not blame Wilf one bit for having his family there. I would do the same time after time. What greater reward then showing your daughters how to recover, seeing her eyes light up as she finds the perfect artifact. Isn’t that a divers dream? To be the first to dive the wreck, to be the first human to see what is there in several hundred years. Then Wilf hears a ice curdling scream from one of his daughters, and he swims over with all his might to find his precious little girl with a chest full of gold. Dang maybe I should have been a writer, nahhhhh.
Just a tad bit of news from the DR and we would be over .02

Diver dies after being pulled from Elliott Bay
Seattle Times staff
A diver who was pulled from Elliott Bay unconscious this morning has died.
The man, who hasn't been identified, was pulled from the water off West Seattle by other divers around 11:30 a.m., said Seattle fire Lt. Harold Webb.
Firefighters performed CPR, but the man was pronounced dead near Seacrest Marina, in the 1600 block of Harbor Avenue Southwest.
Please be safe
Damnnnnnnnnn this is better then Melrose Place. I can't leave the computer at all, I might miss something, Be Right Back, got to make some popcorn for snacks.
Did you get the shakes from no puter? Holy cow, with our eBay business we cannot ever really be with out a puter. We have an online store and you just never know when someone is going to buy something and it is needed by a certain date, and we would hate to have the customer not get the product because of our selfishness, of course that is not the case for you. We, the Chick and I spend a fair amount of the day on the puter. But a vaca with out the excavation business worries is WONDERFUL and well enjoyed. Wish so much that we could have attended the Expo, I use to manage the Expo shows for a company I worked for, and love it, marketing baby, oh yeah that is what it is about. Exposure and marketing. Love the trade shows.
Yep that is what I am gonna do. Pink E, probably has a better lotto strategy then I do, as well as others, but dang nab it I am in. Maybe I am a stupid ol Sweed instead. My heart is full of love and compassion for all, and I HATE to see all the bickering, yes I am new to blogs for investing, in fact we do not communicate on any other blog or forum at all, with the exception to dpbm’s blog when you could post there. So this is very hard for me to witness and even take a part in. I am for, nor against anyone. My stance has not varied or changed in the year plus that I have been investing in dpbm. Yes my thoughts have reflected what has been posted, but I still believe, maybe cuz I do not want to be wrong, maybe because, well I do not know, but I do believe that is all I can say. I will need to re read the TOU’s and apologize to Ihub and everybody if I have violated any rules, I try to toe the line as best as I understand it. I would like to see everybody say something nice about somebody else, even if it is under your breath. Think and feel nice things, and nice things will be for you. I try to do a WWJD in everything I do, of course I have not accomplished that, but I strive to do better. Sorry I am a bit verbose today.
Maybe you should, or should have, asked for money that might be the answer for you. you seems to have credibility in the industry, why not try to set up your own company? Dive as cheap as you can stay safe, get the permits and bring up what others have not. You make it sound so simple that a child could do it when talking of dpbm, but when it is you to bring it up, it is much harder and expensive. What did Mel have for his first boats, or boat, I would think not very much until he found 400,000,000.00 or better. I am sure this is not easy on any account or anyone would be doing it. In my eyes dpbm has tried their best to accomplish this as best as they can, maybe it was not the best, but time will tell that story. I do know who can help you start a company and raise funds, they might even have a shell to start you off. The big question is, do you really have treasure ships, that can be recovered, if so, I implore you to get going on it the you can laugh in Wilf face when you have the booty. It appears that your/the deep divers do not follow the rules as per post 705, or am in incorrect? My understanding is that NOTHING can be brought up without a recovery permit, unless it is for verification and then the FKNMS would have possession of the artifacts. I certainly could be incorrect here. Who is to say that the deep divers have not be bringing other stuff up as well, and that is why they were terminated, or that they were caught diving on other sites doing research for others on Wilfs bill. Pure speculation on my part, but true something does not add up for the deep divers.
Another view angle.
I believe it is hard to con a con man. “If” Wilf is a con man, then it sounds like he has been conned a couple of times possibly. One the Kirby site, and or Woman Key, seems like I read close to 50,000,000 million in stock “restricted” for a while yet, to get that site. (I have not counted that site out yet) Then a half million to start for Tracey B and there is claimed to be nothing there, and that if Mr. B did really have a $$$$$ wreck there that he would have brought it up himself. Then I think that if Capted really had all these wrecks, and they were the once in a life time treasure wreck, he would have found a way to bring them up, he sure is connected in the industry. The con personality or character is a smart individual, and hard to lie to or con. Have you ever witnessed a lie being told to a liar, or a con idea trying to be sold to another con, it is met with full skepticism. I am not a Wilf cheerlead, or at least I do not view myself that way, I try not to judge folks on hear say, and I have heard more hear say or read more hear say here then any place on the planet. I have done some DD on both Ed and Wilf but have found nothing concrete. Both Ed and Wilf tell a good line, they are both easy to believe, but both can’t be right on all aspects. The main point I get from capted is MONEY, I have chatted with capted for a few months via private email and he sounds like an outstanding individual. I have tried to focus our conversations away from the treasure side of life and back to what each day means to us. From what I have read on the blog, capted sounds like he is pissed at dpbm over money, I have never asked him, and I am NOT now, that is his business. It reminds me of a couple of employees I had in the late 80’s always bickering over what the other guy makes, or the new guy or whatever. I sat them the down and we talked about money and the way that I hire and fire. Discussing pay is/was grounds for being fired. I hired each individual based on their skills and experience. Some times I was incorrect and bought into a good interview but after a few months you could tell a good employee from a con. My point being I have not been able to confirm what Joe makes or the other divers or whatever. Yes it has me concerned somewhat. From reading the dpbm bolg and this one, I can see why most companies do not have them, though I think that they can be a value to shareholders, but the course this has taken I find disheartening, one day I find my dreams being shattered or exalted and the next day the opposite. One day I cannot own enough dpbm and the next it is oh man what did I do here. Like YB, I have broken some of my rules on investing, but I am not all in, not even close, I would like to think that I have risked enough to have a life changing situation if dpbm succeeds, but not enough to change my life if dpbm fails. I am open to read both sides of the story, but please folks be able to back up what you post. Capted if you know this is a scam and a con, and have PROOF then the ball is in your court, if not, please give them a chance, Mel had 16 years, and because he found the Atocha he is the guru of treasure hunting, not in my eyes. In my eyes he had more heart and stamina then the others, he believed for a long long time, and it paid off for him and his family Mel was NOT a quitter. Maybe Wilf is looking in all the wrong places, but he does not seem like a quitter either. It has been a long time since anything has been found, with the exception to OMR, but they might not get the booty for quite some time, or maybe not at all. How many treasure set ups are there in the Keys? And how many do you hear about? And how many have found anything to mention, very few, maybe a few small timers, but nothing big.
I wish the best to all, even if they are scammers, I am NOT the Judgee HE is. Mathew 7
Holy smokes could the room stop spinning. My gosh, my head is going back and forth more from the blog then the pps, and I do not know what to think, who to believe, or what to believe, but no matter to me, I am a stuborn ol Sweed, and I will ride it till the wheels fall off or turn gold plated.
Capted hope the surgery go's as planned.
Everybody got home late and had to rush off to work or errands, and will post updates right after dinner. Well, maybe, who knows. Not bad volume today, so far.
Hello......hello...................hello............ yep I hear an echo in here today.
YB we are still here and long, no way would I ever sell on speculation. I will buy on speculation but never sell. Our day will come.
Good post Mike, and some of the others as well. Just cuz it is in writing does not make it true. I do not like the PPS being down but I still think we have a chance, a good chance.
Dutch I would suggest a letter writing conscience cleansing effort to Wilf, or call him. I know Wilf has the talk, I am willing to see if he has the walk, and I think he does.
Laying off the divers makes damn good sense to me. If/and/or
Deep Blue has brought up enough artifacts to properly identify the “Ledge” wreck, the finding have been viewed by the archeologist and is now in the possession of the FKNMS, who in their time will issue a recovery permit. So why keep the deep divers on. Once you have brought up what is needed for identification you cannot bring up any more? or it would be recovery? Sure you could have the deep divers clean the office or help with the boats, but maybe they had another offer and it was a mutual situation and the company now saves that money and that little chip adds up to no more selling of shares. Now tell me why we do not like that? So stream line the operation until the permit is issued, focus on what is believed to be a good situation with the DR, and when everything comes in hire what is needed to run 2-3 crews.
Vacationing and work go together in some instances. It can easily kill two birds with one stone. The family gets a break and spends some time together, plus Wilf can work with Tracy, learn his Procedures and start the process in the DR. I do similar all the time, one of the fringes of being CEO. Saturday we will drive 142 miles to look at a couple facilities to possibly set up some service work, and guess what I am taking the wife and after the work we will have a nice dinner, go to the car races, stay the night in a motel have breakfast and drive home and the company will legally pay for it all, the meals we have to split a%, oh yeah the car wash for the Explorer is a deduction as well. The major difference is that my customers basically pay for it, where with Wilf we the share holders pay for it, but you know what, he is up front about it, telling me he does not feel he has anything to hide. Now if he were flying all over the world with family in tow diving on sites that are not diddly, yeah then I would be questioning the practices. I am not sticking up for Wilf or being a cheerleader here, just voicing scenarios
sonofasailor,
you nailed it right on the preverbial head.
yah kind of, I am refering to Pressure On Price Share.
Now if we could just keep this upswing going for a few months. Like some else stated on here, a little each day would be great. lets see .022 tomorrow for the close.
Hey gotta, how is pops?
I hub might have blocked him, but I doubt it, I have had Yahoo do that before. The best person I know to ask is gottalotta.
Sounds like he is not online?
OH lordy let me be there. wooooo hooooooo
Stuff happens don’t sweat it, I highly doubt that Wilf shut the door because of your posts. He made a business decision that he felt was best for the company. I can understand the employees of dpbm not wanting Ed around, Ed has voiced quite loudly what he thinks of them, and sometimes that comes back to bite you in the buttocksular. It still might work out though so lets all watch what we say. Ed is no doubt a smart individual and will succeed with or without Wilf, same go’s for Wilf. Good luck to all.
You are very correct it is difficult to admit ones mistakes or bad choices in life. This could be a bad choice or a mistake, so far all the writing is saying so. I just do not give up easy, there seems to be potential, I am still in.
