INSANITY PLAYS: EGGSQ BXTRR CALGZ WAVAP
looking for guidance here.
assumptions: market is a zero sum game re. worthless "securities"
Q. If someone pays you to bomb a shelf of snow above a ski lodge to create an avalanche do you say thanks and put the cash in your wallet?
Q. If you create a "snowball" effect in an illiquid market for a worthless security with a group of friends so that it picks up momentum, gets noticed by traders and scalpers, and allows you a "filthy" profit at some "greater fool's" expense are you cool?
Q. Does this kind of behavior in a real security (EGGSQ) give the trader a chance to burn market makers or institutional shorters who basically killed the issue, or is this a rationalization?
Having traded otcbb stocks for only a few months, i'd like to understand people's ethics and motivations. feel free to pm me if you don't care to post publicly.

R/S on Thursday: VEXP ANCC CTTY DIO DVID BLSI VITX all >5%gainers
ANCC reported numbers (not too good imo) and had a brief cc (no Q&A session) that spoke glowingly of current placements and trials of their rapidcell base stations (for emergency and first responder use?) and potential sales to the DoD either directly or through systems integrators.
Stock could jump....
Otoh, they stated the likelihood of having to return to the capitalmarkets for financing.
imo, they need a strategic (deep-pockets) partner that won't bite off too big a chunk of the company. After the R/S there were only 12mil share O/S and any significant financing could really be dilutive.
fly? or die...get subsumed by deeper pockets...hmmm
nice chart longer term for upside:
10day:
imo, ANCC is worth some due diligence for the rich potetntial upside if they can actually sell through. determining backlog, sales ramp, cash drain, & potential day of reckoning (when they run out of $) all germane
very nice ken
how bout this pup for an aroon crossover? needless to say i have no scan to give it to me early, but i do believe i'm going to look at the aroon math and write me a PCF for my TC2000 to find them.
LowPriced attacking 52wk high scan: GEMS OMR
the Aroon(8) is a great price appreciation predictor in these charts. too bad it's like looking at a horse that's left the barn.
TuesEveScan list: TWTC LDIS GOAM INNO IMCL MACE CRDS
3 White Soldiers: TWTC LDIS
Oversold: GOAM (a reverse split play also)
Oscillator hinge: INNO designer jeans are hot hot hot (how shallow this culture is)... lots of financings and share registrations but it looks like a 52wk high is imminent
Bullish Engulfing: IMCL MACE CRDS
IMCL filed it's 10Q today
MACE reported earnings
CRDS
R/S action: ECGI BWNG RCO
of stocks that went through reverse splits in last year 6 were up more than 5% yesterday: VEXP GOAM ANCC VRA RCO & PROX.
today's hot actors:
ECGI had earnings
BWNG had a volume surge in the last hour
RCO withdrew an S-3 registration. very unusual. am waiting a return call from their IR person for clarification. they are also due to report their quarter next Monday. The 10 day chart shows some action:
a longer term chart looks constructive. RCO could really run (or tank) on news and bears watching:
PRZ 4.55 growing like a weed
the question is: how many shares are issued in lieu of cash for the many acquisitions?
have a longterm view and a starter position in LT account
hi...was searching on VEXP & found your board
i have a list of stocks that went through reverse splits in last year. 6 were up more than 5% today: VEXP GOAM ANCC VRA RCO & PROX.
Have also been monitoring potential short squeeze plays: SUP ANTP GB
NVEC is a good example of the power of an upmarket to pressure the shorts. I think we are not out of the woods and could still see the market test lows again.
look at the 4 distinct volume buying waves for VEXP today...
NVEC also had great stamina on a sustained run & consolidation:
good luck to all
paltak chat down for me since before the break of the hour...could hear people but no chat script
CALGZ another lemming play like BXTRR
http://www.knobias.com/individual/public/news.htm?eid=3.1.bd5803cc3352b789dcdcd0dc09cea3ea2482210582....
not a stock but Contingent Litigation Recovery Participation Interests which probably have zilch intrinsic value.
people will buy sh*t if it's run by a small group of traders
jmho
where is BXTRR now? still above .01.... hmmm was run on a Friday above .10 a couple weeks back...check THAT CHART before you tumble into this one
imo it's a pretty sick market when people get sucked into this stuff...but if you're nimble...who cares..
TFSM 3.15 earnings R/S; arfarf CNXT bounce
http://www.knobias.com/individual/public/news.htm?eid=3.1.90d35dcb1f4dc187ac08b704857b6bf24d99778ea4....
R/S 1:5 2/27/04
xing 8dy MA and easy target of 9% or so to top of BBand above 3.42 imo. this also happens to be the 200dayMA. thought it would go last week and exited for a small loss...will probably try again tomorrow
as a service to bottom fishers: CNXT put in a nice hammer at the close on strong volume. i never make any money lately on this one, but it could run:
maybe all the sellers are tired of selling? LOL
if it heads for the 8 day at 1.16 convincingly I may go against my better judgment and see if i can get another 12-15% from it. If you look at the daily chart from mid-February, it has had a few upward retracements from the selling pressure. they last 2-3 days, so that, even if the bottom wasn't put in on Wednesday, there could still be some bounce.
WedMay4 trading notes:
watched INSG uptick all day wondering why i didn't buy on the reversal Friday. looks like it was a morning star config. then a 500K market order!?!? blew it up.... and 1/2 hr. later it was back below .70
watched webcasts from 5 of the RodmanRenshaw presentations: NFLD BPUR SYBD AVN & ADVR
Owned ADVR years ago...went from .28 down to teens where i threw in towel. Their "molecule" seems to do really nice things, but noone seems to know how or why...never have... so I wonder if they can ever get approval.
BPUR could jump in share price if they get back in good graces with the FDA. If they get something definitive from their work with the military it could help too. But NFLD is almost certain to be the #1 dog in the blood sub field. am glad to be in it.
My favorite med tech is SRDX. They have a drug eluting screw for eyeballs: http://www.knobias.com/individual/public/news.htm?eid=3.1.1e365b92e1d80ba7e8d8321cf4728e9cceee9587c7....
The Street seems to finally be realizing that SRDX is not a one trick (drug eluting coronary stent) pony. If they ever get their insulin-secreting implantable islet cell going which is coated to fool the body's rejection response....
Stock is at a channel top, so I have to decide whether to kaching or not...will probably just hold.
Entered MVSN on the bearish engulfing from Tuesday. Want the 200dy SMA near 24
ANTP got clocked late. shorts trying to regain the upper hand. will be watching for reentry.
R/S runners today:
POSO 34% on 775% avg vol
BKHM 15%
INO 10%
BWNG 9%
TFSM 7% on 200% volume
pasted the t&S into excel
looks like almost exactly 500K shares at an average cost of .89
INSG spike
hard to imagine that anyone with that much $ to invest would be so stupid as to put in a market order for 456K shares.

This roughly corresponds to the business week time & sales #. Got the ticks from quotetracker being fed from Ameritrade
Takes nothing away from the solid rebound INSG has shown over last few days....I feel teased as I kept thinking about chasing before the big buy.
You would think that if an institution wanted a block of shares they would have negotiated a cross.
The buyer can't be happy that it came right back down to the .70 area a half hour later.
I've seen a sell take out the stop losses before, but seeing a buy take out all the sell targets is rare. A few INSG owners probably are very happy tonight...probably also wished they'd set their sell targets higher...like at 1.20 :)
Maybe I'll tote up the tick vol x the sell price to find out what the buyer actually paid for all those shares. let you know tomorrow
SMSI 4.19 hit my oversold scan today: triangle city & potential short squeeze opportunity
10 day-15' triangle #1: descending triangle breakout from gap eight days ago
8 mo. daily: triangle #2: descending triangle with base from recent lows in 3.44 area (from which it gapped on volume seen in above chart; see Nokia news: http://www.knobias.com/individual/public/news.htm?eid=3.1.4703888245d2b82c96b447931782e4ede8bd291d14.... going back to last October. The downtrendline breakout point is at hand depending upon how you draw trendlines (the top wick on the spinning top doji from 1/24 moves it up, but I am using the open top of the solid boday for my trendline).

short term target (to top of the 8 day bband) is in the 4.60 area which is nearly 10% higher than the close.
interesting potential imo. "On February 18, 2005, we entered into a Common Stock Purchase Agreement for the private placement of 3,500,000 shares of our common stock, $0.001 par value, at a price of $6.40 per share, resulting in aggregate gross cash proceeds to the Company of $22,400,000 and approximate net cash proceeds to the Company of $21,056,000." Some institution thought this stock was worth 50% more just a few months ago.
p.s. VPHM will be interesting in the a.m. wonder how much frontloading preceded the earnings release
re LAVA teapee....
if a company is repurchasing it's shares then isn't the company spending it's cash to reduce the number of shares outstanding?
then what does this mean?: "The repurchased shares are expected to be used for general corporate purposes."
Do they have an existing shelf registration to issue issues too?
What part of hmmm don't i understand? HUH?? help please.
nice run for PAX, exited trading shares of ANTP for $2; DVID R/S runner
looking for ANTP reentry after consolidation
could have been a lot more...but i was chicken...
DVID is a great trading R/S play...haven't quite figured out it's pulse

MondayMay2 ANTP VITS BWNG WLSF
ANTP reversal & potential short squeeze; VITS followon; BWNG R/S run? WLSF news
reentered ANTP this morning
hoping the bottom was put in
over30% of float is short
buyer's strike in the symbol and market in general since earnings report can now be overcome imo.
intraday chart is a beaut (2day-1'):
re VITS: was pointed out near eod on Thursday in livechat. no real resistance until it gets back in high .20s
re BWNG: was pointed out previously as a reverse split run candidate. went 1:10 last October.... very nice action today after gap open with increasing volume toward the close at hod
10day-15'
will look for entry in morning on good interest
WLSF news: Wellstone Retains Signal Design for Product Launch. http://www.knobias.com/individual/public/news.htm?eid=3.1.e72881ddcb96f4bb1231b90af6cb9e76581e059055....
news was so late in the session that there was no reaction. WLSF is at a favorable risk/reward state imo. This news is a logical followon to the news from late March that propelled the stock back to $1.00 area briefly.
Nice descending triangle breakout candidate
Oversold Reversal Scan hits: VNWIE ATML COR CXN GRA INKP INTD
VNWIE got a big focus in livechat today. had trouble breaking out and tomorrow might be the day
ATML's earnings led to numerous upgrades and steady buying. I suspect more upside coming
COR
the 10day looks better than the daily which has, for me anyway, a jiggy unfocused quality (toss out the first 2 trades on Monday at 2.43 & 2.28 and that black candle basically disappears on the daily). 2.60 is a bollieband target
CXN did not get to oversold...i question it's bounce power
GRA: break of 11 gets you another dollar to the top of the BB.
check the news, filings, & fundies if any of these appeal...
R/S splitter of the day: GLGS .71
about 40K shares of buy at 10:24 sent GLGS up from .64 to.71
if the traders want to run this one...it will.
still not sure about Quotetracker...looks like only 40 or so trades today and 55,346 shares traded, almost 75% of which happened in one minute.
Reverse Splitter Update: VEXP RCO GOAM ONH TRIN(heads UP!)
VEXP is a great morning trader. Could start a squeeze run at any time, and probably would have, in a better market.
RCO ran yesterday on the news, but fizzled. Got 1/2 off at 1.47 and should have taken it all...oh well...
GOAM is one of the few left of the 27 I am following that has not had a run. I picked up a starter and expected to get rewarded HAH!
ONH is an illiquid R/S play, with rotten BOP since mid Feb, but it has been up for 5 days in a row with no retracement into the previous day's real body. It's up 75% from it's last turn in the short term oscillator.. yikes!
TRIN heads up (double entendre, eh!)
6mo chart is pretty grim, but the turn appears at hand. Was 1:5 in December.
on the 10 day there is definitive interest forming. They tried to run it on 4/18 without success, but the stochastic is more coiled and less extended now:
probably worth a few spec. dollars. i may enter in the morning if it wants to break yesterday's highs.
Bullish Engulfs: IPI CNU RNDC CLTK
Classicly, you want to see the engulfing candlestick surround the bottom presaging the turn in sentiment. None of the above patterns really qualifies :)
IPI is reversing from 52wk bottom: some folks surely thought so on Friday. TC2000 proprietary BOP indicator has reversed from negative to pasted on the ceiling! in last 3 sessions.
CNU which i just posted on hit the engulfing scan too. A few further comments: 4/5 bottom? was an engulf, now we have another.
RNDC is showing positive reversals on intermediate and longterm oscillators...worth watching
CLTK is broken longterm but has an interesting chart.
After the midMarch upgap and pps leakage there was a buyer that soaked up all sells at .80 for nearly 3 weeks. Not much liquidity though. Something brewing? i have no clue.
CNU 2.63 Chart play: shortterm oscillator reverses up...again
One to watch: two attacks on volume spikes midweek last week. consistent volume Tuesday as the 10 day shows:
notice how volume increases in the last six months have been accompanied by price increases:
all indicators except the aroon look good to me.
quick look at income statement is no cause for excitement, but company is profitable unlike some of our plays.
2.80 is first target followed by a return to '04 highs in the $3 area. I expect to check the 10Qs later. The next one is due in 2 weeks.
CDSS 1.38 news monday; hit oversold reversal scan Tues.
http://www.knobias.com/individual/public/news.htm?eid=3.1.8fb51f80443abea0221feccca229b80d9d169ba419...
bottomed end of March and has been formful re. shortterm stochastic reversals since.
volume increase today. check the 10day:
VEXP took a .40 scalp, out now RCO ELTK BCON GOAM
RCO runs on fumes out 1/2 at 1.47 should have sold it all
ELTK giving it a try hoping for break of 3
in some BCON but always mistiming this one. was in last week at .87 and pulled it off...lol
R/S runners out in force again
PROX is up as well as ECGI which has had nice move from 2 area in last 2 days...tuff to play as we have previously mentioned.
took a starterin GOAM...this one is overdue for a boune from R/S traders
added VITX 3.12 only got half...grrr RAE hod 3.40
TFSM just sitting there geez... ut'd 3.38x3.40 come on baby...let's do the twist
lunch nearly over and TFSM just might attack hod at 3.41
added RAE this a.m. & nibbled TFSM which looks close to ready
R/S movers include VEXP ONH(tiny vol) ECGI(oh, you gotta carry that weight---Beatles) GOAM(not much vol yet) VITX
Quotetracker, if i read it right, showing that ECGI VITX & PROX have already exceeded avg daily vol...don't know what the #days they use for the calc.
200edy SMA on TFSM is about 3.46
R/S play for Friday? TFSM chartread /freefloat short squeeze?
More than 1/2 of the listed reverse splitters have had dramatic price appreciation in the last couple of weeks:
3/17 VRA
3/31 BKHM
4/5 VEXP ANCC RCO
4/8 DVID
4/12 INO
4/13 BWNG
4/18 CTTY
4/19-21 ADSX
4/20-21 ARBA
4/20 PROX ONH
4/21 TRAC
I'm thinking that not being aware of which from the list will be next is like saying no thanks to a gift...
Split Date: 27-Feb-04 1:5
http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/intchart/frames/frames.asp?symb=antp&time=18&freq=7
In the 5 day chart today was the first day that the close was really strong. On each of last 3 days there was early hod followed by selloff, but today after a gap and consolidation there was BIG volume at 2:30, a 539K share trade at $3.17. 25' later the ut'g began in earnest. TFSM flagged after getting up to 3.36 in about 15'.
http://www.tradingday.com/c/afterhourstrading/ehah.html
shows 5,957 shares crossed AH with a last trade of 3.44.
Someone picked up $45K worth at 3.40 in the AH session.

Lowes retails their decking product
Relaxation of their Weyerhauser contract
from 10K
Outdoor Decking Systems. Since 1995, we have sold our decking products exclusively to Weyerhaeuser Building Materials. In August 2004, we signed a new contract with Weyerhaeuser that allows AERT to sell decking products to distributors and dealers other than Weyerhaeuser. Under the new Weyerhaeuser contract, Weyerhaeuser will purchase all of our ChoiceDek Premium decking products and sell it exclusively to Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse under the Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek brand. The Weyerhaeuser contract requires us to produce, and Weyerhaeuser to purchase, a minimum number of truckloads of ChoiceDek Premium decking and accessories during 2005. The minimum volume to be produced for each succeeding year will be determined annually. In addition, Weyerhaeuser and independent lumber dealers can special order MoistureShield decking from the Weyerhaeuser distribution network in certain markets. Weyerhaeuser entered into a rolling three year agreement with Lowe’s whereby Lowe’s has the exclusive right to carry the ChoiceDek Premium product line. Lowe’s has agreed to provide dedicated retail shelf space in all of its 1,000 plus stores and to promote ChoiceDek Premium through a national print and advertising campaign. Under the new Weyerhaeuser contract, the term of the agreement was modified from a rolling, “evergreen” 3-year period to a term now expiring December 31, 2006 and renewing on a year-to-year basis thereafter, unless either party provides prescribed four months advance notice of cancellation. We believe the Weyerhaeuser contract strengthens our competitive position in the decking marketplace and gives us the opportunity to develop and sell new products through the same home improvement warehouse channel.
growing 30-50%/year
adding capacity
some current extrusion capacity restrictions due to lack of raw wood fiber supply.
cc Qs: only a few from analyst at AG Edwards
cost savings from increasing plastic sourcing inhouse? by eliminating freight, vendors, using outside plastic sources can save $4 million to bottom line (75% from inhouse vs. last years 25-50%).
their focus is not tied to new home construction but home improvement/remodelling segment primarily, so decreased housing starts (economic externals) not a drag on potential sellthrough.
new enhancements: new expansion for woodfiber coming online in a couple of months. inhouse plastic processing improvement to come online late this year or early next year.
very down to earth management making something truly useful and durable from waste wood fiber and recycled plastic. check it out
trading day recap: MWIS RAE IFLB SMTR AERTA ANAD
MWIS was moribund for it seemed weeks....volume sez there is news coming and the recent filing http://xml.10kwizard.com/filing_raw.php?repo=tenk&ipage=3398228
looks VERY promising to me unless there is a pile of dilution coming: 70 million shares outstanding:

RAE: the chart sez it all
IFLB: very upset here. what appeared to be a bottom reversal was a head fake inducing stupid people (me) to take a rising share price from crafty people (insiders or a buying cabal (see BXTRR notes from me last weekend) and then notorious diluter mkt. mkr QUIN shows up on the ask.... glad i got out for not too bad a loss...grrrr.
SMTR: noted that Schrader, sub. of TKS (Tompkins?)has a contract with Mercedes for TPMS, but smartytire was roaring...took a scalp tyvm.
AERTA: a fundamental analyst broker friend of mine has me watching this one. they had a cc call today which i haven't listened to yet and had news...really good on first glance: a 50% increase in gross sales (unaudited) for Q1
http://www.knobias.com/individual/public/news.htm?eid=3.1.5d1bd03c6b20d8663babeb208ff3fe680737558fae....
took a starter. Check their biz model. they are selling branded or cobranded products in big home improvement stores:
http://www.aertinc.com/investor.asp My opinion: like wood...only better.
ANAD: earnings coming up so i swapped out...probably heading for $2 now that i am out.
RAE hubba hubba hubba :)
entered at 3.07 on followon activity...revamping my monitor's realestate look and missed the open.
RAE beautiful chart coming off oversold and 52wk low
one of the rare charts i see that is firing on ALL cylinders:
eeny meanie miny less: why did i buy INNO instead of ARBA?
was afraid of the ARBA gap....duh
my plays today are RAE (chart & news) MWIS (recent news and volume) & IFLB (reversal)
R/S low float illiquid play of day turned out to be TRAC
was 1:5 last month
moved up smartly on light volume...but already 18x normal!!
