XPNG Re-entered a position at .855 and Why I did!
Anyone who has done any homework...or closely read the links provided in previous due diligence should know that the collaboration with Dr. Margaret Hanausek and AMC Cancer Research Center brings Dr. Z, the company's second employee, and his former wife together to commercialize the patents that they worked on together a decade ago.
Immunological assay is the qualitative detection piece.
Molecular assay is the quantitative measure that will allow physicians currently treating their patients for cancer whose expression includes heightened levels of the tumor marker p65, to assess the treatment efficacy of their current treatment protocol.
An inexpensive qualitative test, albeit for canines, allows for treatment before a cancerous process becomes infeasible to treat.
Their business plan is intact as described in the 8-K12G3 of 3/18/05
Today's news:
XPNG: Closes $400K PIPE: Common Stock + Warrants
the 8-K:
http://xml.10kwizard.com/filing_raw.php?repo=tenk&ipage=3530927
The reason why I reentered a position is that theRegencyGroup's #1 guy is in New York City to find out what the ##&$&%*!! is going on and why. I did go to 0% on Friday at 1.00, but rebought tthose shares today.
There is some serious $ backing the company and they want to get to the bottom of who is shorting the stock.
Time will tell.
You can make fun of the cancer identifier for canines, but it does hold the promise of providing an ongoing revenue stream while the other components of the business plan are being implemented. Whether or not they deliver on the promise, of course, remains to be seen. good luck.

VSGN 5.10 Swing Trade: good recent presentation
Did a little due diligence. The company is well along in 2 Phase III trials of the medical technology to combat chronic inflammation. They are actively talking to potential partners. They have earlier phase trials underway for drugs to treat neuro-inflammatory disorders like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.

Vasogen takes a small amount of your blood, runs it through their Celacade technology which exposes the cells to oxidative stress and induces cellular changes which, when the blood is reintroduced to your body, activates it's anti-inflammatory response system.

MY CHANGE of PICK: VSGN pls delete ESSE
Re: your filter of $50K volume for each day to weed out the little P'sOS....
seems like the filter would be more fair if the average $ volume for the stock was $50K/day, and that the stock has to trade that much volume on 3 of the 5 days.
I recognize that changing the conditions of contest for this week is unrealistic.
In my case, ESSE would have to have it's news hit early enough in the day on Monday, and would have to sustain significant buying interest over the entire week.

Sweet scalp: ascending triangle breakout ABGX
ABGX broke a 6 month downtrend last Friday and has moved up rather smartly most of the week.
Thursday night the stock exhibited a bullish engulfing 'stick, so I was watching it closely to see what would happen at the 200dy MA.
You can see from the following 2 day 5' chart that the share price ran right up to the resistance point in the area of the 200dySMA and retreated no fewer than three times Friday in the first hour and a half.
I was commenting to the live chat room how nice the technicals on ABGX were, and that a perfect ascending triangle was forming whose resolution was imminent and almost certainly due for an upside breakout.
Silly me forgot to buy first and talk second and i had to pay an extra nickel to get in. Exited at 9.10 on the break of the accelerated trendline from the breakout.
After finishing the trade i saw that the company received an upgrade from Wachovia: http://www.knobias.com/individual/public/news.htm?eid=3.1.439098084affe9c8c3703336e106ba7e3e323dfd0b....
There was a prospectus filed at the end of the day for a convertible debenture. Before raising your eyebrows, note that a "real" company gets a conversion at a significant premium, in the case, almost 50% above the closing price on 6/16.

before anyone thinks that something is cooking in Carpenteria they should read:
http://www.turbodyne.com/
the news release of November 12, 2004
A former officer, Peter Hofbauer, attached the bank account of the company. The terms of the settlement granted him 4 million shares, and by my quick calculation, based on the rapid drop in share price last year, may have double that amount to sell regularly into the public market, to satisfy the nearly $300,000 settlement agreement.
Let any share buyer be aware.

GLGS playing a gapper
Chasing a big opening gap is not a low risk trade and I chose to wait for further developments.
I posted on GLGS in live chat before the open on the news I read. Did not know it was a gapper.
the Intraday trading patterns was really instructive for me:
There was a long quiet period midday with a few blocks that did not raise the ask, but then between 1:30 and 2 it became clear to me that an attack of the opening hod was coming.
Foolishly, I was chatting live about GLGS' prospects for a hod break and in the spae of 15' the stock broke the hod in a 10 cent run that subsequently tacked on .12 on top of the hod.
Helps to be watching like a hawk and not dawdling when the ticks say GO!

XPNG Who...who...
Spoke after the close with OTC FN:
the Special Situations report went out 3rd class mail and probably is reaching mailboxes this week...not last week.
Two groups who have been shorting the stock were identified today. Don't know how they found out who was doing it, but if you look at the late action in the share price today a "counter-offensive" was begun.
Still no scoop from me on who and when the bid support is going to kick in, but everyone on "the inside" that I have spoken with has confidence... I however, halved my position at the open because I did not want to have "my second tranche" of shares losing the 1.00 level.
Hard to believe there have been only 13 trading days since I got the email that got me interested in this.

thx i maintain an open window of R/S listed securities
i deleted RCO which is halted
had entered VEXP this a.m. which, btw, hit my oversold scan tonite.
my quotetracker portfolio of R/S tickers automatically sorts by price % change and highlights hod ticks in green, so I noticed VITX when it first popped to 3.45. It retraced to 3.35 and then went flying.
I am perplexed as I saw nothing all day in the way of news. I was on phone during the last hour of trading re. XPNG and saw none of the late move.
I wish I could say it was a profitable experience, but my recent destiny is to point out tickers for others to make $ on.
Is there any paying future in this? LOL.

Due Diligence #6: Excerpts from conversation with Dave Kittrell, XPNG president
David said there were exciting developments coming in a voice mail to me over the weekend...I spoke with him today for a half hour or so. He was very cognizant of not disclosing non-public information....he told me to watch for a filing in next couple of days...that was the only piece of nonpublic noninformation?? i heard during the conversation
Xpention is not responsible for any of the email, fax blasts or direct mail campaigns. Dave has confirmed certain corporate facts for the mailers' factual nature. He stated that he does not watch the stock price, but concentrates on fulfilling the company's mission and business plan. He did not care that I represented potentially hundreds of investors.
Dr. Z. Walaszek is one of 2 employees at present and is not a current shareholder.
The fiscal year just ended and a 10-K can be expected within the normal timeframe (90 days).
David was not a part of the group headed by theRegencyGroup which purchased the controlling interest via the Bayview Management LLC in Bayview Corp for 1.05 million shares.
He characterized the Bayview transaction as a reverse merger. Xpention became a wholly owned subsidiary of Bayview Corp. (see 8K on 2/17/05) in exchange for 1.1 million shares of Bayview.
Following the 13:1 forward split David owned 14.3 million shares of the renamed Xpention Genetics.
The other 13,650,000 restricted shares were the 1.05 presplit shares belonging to theRegencyGroup acting as the Bayview Management LLC which purchased those shares for for 725K (8K on 1/19/05)
A 13D was filed on on 5/11 stating that the Bayview Management LLC no longer held a voting interest. David stated that he had not filed a 13D and therefore could be presumed to not have "purchased" the Bayview Management LLC interest.
(It's a little curious that noone seems to have enough of the restricted shares to need to file. I guess there were a number of Regency prinicipals and angel investors in the LLC. I've asked Aaron to give me a call)
I am not going to quibble with "The Superstock Investor" glossy, but am pretty sure that the company needs working capital. In 10 Reasons to Buy Now (see Olico's scanned pg.10, post #164 it sez that company insiders own half the shares. they would not invest millionsof dollars of their own money in Xpention unless they were fairly certain a big pay-off was assured". In point of fact, $725K purchased the shell, and 1.1 million shares of Bayview was given in exchange for 100% of Xpention. The value of insider holdings is worth millions, but it is not clear that "millions of dollars of their own money" was invested.
David referred me to "the filings" regarding current capital needs: anyone still reading this SHOULD read the 8-K12G3 from 3/18/05. Do a word search for budget on this one, but take some time to read about the patents, business plan, license agreement etc.
I asked if Regency was helping with financing and David stated that they were one of several consultants in this regard. (I sure hope that if financing news is coming that it is benign).
I asked about the cost to the company for patent enforcement. He told me to review the techn. and license agreement....implication is that the U. of Texas owns the patent and will expend resources to enforce it (again pls. review the agreement in the 8-K12G3 if you are so inclined).
Early on in the thread there were some concerns raised about the timeliness of bringing the company public at this point. I closed with the question: why XPNG now...when the major work on p65 tumor marker was published nearly a decade ago.
He said he did not care to comment on any previous non-public efforts re. the technology (I don't anything about that):
"we have the formula in place to successfully commercialize the technology"
we have the correct focus..have identified the partners... to generate revenues.
"we have a sharp focus on the business side
Other items of note:
Geoff told me Friday that 1 mill mailers left the printer Thursday and Friday...they go out "last class" bulk and take days to reach the targeted audience
Geoff said he thought "the run" would start this week and last for about 3 weeks
I received an email today from theRegencyGroup titled: XPNG now starting. A broker network receives these.
......
I have not succeeded in identifying possible promoters. The 2.22 million shares of the former Bayview have traded publicly since April at a significant premium to their non-liquid value.
I have no clue who owns 'em, and I don't think the stock has even traded it's public float once over since a public market existed. (I have not added up every day's volume...it's just a guess)
ADCTD now over 20
should be about to resume it's old ticker ADCT....indeed yes
ADC Telecommunications, Inc. (ADCTD) will change to ADC Telecommunications, Inc. (ADCT) on June 8. Source: Nasdaq Trader daily list
