Interesting thoughts. What I have in common with this shrholder
is I too have averaged up.
My point was that stocks before big moves are boring, even frustrating.
Oh idk about that WS hammered PLUG against all reason...until they went long. Betcha the talking point was Biden.
PLUG reported over $330MM gross billings for 2020. Right now after a considerable haircut their MC is over 17BB
If NLST was a WS darling, this deal would have it at 10-15x MC
Personally, from a forward looking perspective, I think the deal puts NLST
over a 600MM MC right now, one can argue how much over, but definitely over. Especially considering the state of the industry.
HA! From that point of view PLUG was long suffering. I wish I had held those shares under $2 longer.
Yep, practical, “This stay is not sought for the purposes of delay, but rather to allow the parties to avoid incurring unnecessary litigation costs, while preserving the resources of the Court, until the parties are in a position to dismiss this action. “
Dated: April 6, 2021
I wonder if the stay will trigger 40MM release to NLST?
Sounds like Alex’s skepticism (a healthy DD tool) is colored with cynicism (a useless DD tool).
No matter how one slices it NLST income is going up for years to come. I like those odds.
I think MRVL and IPHI were to close this week.
So be it!
$2/share price — for at least five consecutive business days prior to approval, the security has a minimum closing price of at least $2 per share and the issuer has (A) market value of listed securities of at least $50M; (B) stockholders’ equity of at least $4M; and (C) market value of publicly held shares of at least $15M.
In addition, the issuer must also demonstrate that it has:
Net tangible assets in excess of $2M if it has been in continuous operation for at least three years;
Net tangible assets in excess of $5M if it has been in continuous operation for less than three years; or
Average revenue of at least $6M for the last three years.

Sorry about the confusion, the merger (acquisition) is MRVL buys IPHI. There has been some speculation on the board that the suit NLSY V IPHI will need to be cleared up before the acquisition is final. I have no experience in the law so no idea how merging the 2 companies and the suit will interact, however, it will be an education of sorts to find out.
Ha! well said, in all senses.
The most detailed report of it’s kind I’ve read. Lol a few “famous” hub folks.
Is it possible they are at a junction where it’s better to say nothing? Idk
It is a curious situation, with merger on the table. I really thought a someone would ask about it at CC.
"He (Hong) added that the company remains in litigation with Google and Samsung, before stressing that"
Interesting nothing said about request to lift stay with Inphi.
Nice! Thanks
Quote: And in my opinion SK settlement was brilliant.... good business sense.
Yes he made it relevant to NOW. I’ll say it again Q’s are going to
be fun. We have been told Q1 will be good long before this settlement. Q2 should have relevant news and 2nd have may be blockbuster.
While I agree that many are waiting for google settlement, the more I understand about Netlist the company the more eager I am to see quarterly earnings. There are many value investors on iHub we shall see if Netlist starts attracting more of those.
Good point!
I agree strongly!
I don't remember anyone saying the Sk settlement would get everyone rich overnight. There has been some of that with google settlement projections but there has also been a range. I'm disappointed there were not more shr holders asking questions, but did I? No, so can't be too disappointed.
The 2nd guy to ask q's started to probe a bit and CEO pointed out that it was going to take some time to get the products up and running, so to speak. Everybody gets that. Santa and his elves are waiting for materials, although I'm sure sales of both value added and markups out of the box have begun as sales force reaches out to likely customers old and new.
I see what you mean, there is a definition missing. Although maybe taken on its face the answer is $8MM per year. I'll listen again tomorrow.
Amen, with $120MM per yr in discounted essential product for 5 yrs what kind of contracts can be signed?
At that point in the CC Hong also spoke of the patents, they are good for a long time. I thought he was clear that the royalty is now pre-paid and will be negotiated in 5 years.
Repeating myself here but it is important, big business is notorious for working around royalty payments. Upfront is smart, and Hong is very smart for making this a win/win. So they can both continue to thrive. What good does cash do if there is no product available?
Just read this: https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=163042456 .... so some of this you already spoke on.
Idk, guessing a little myself, the attorneys may have had something to do with this too. Or Hong says would be great if we could partner with Sk and attorneys figured what might be possible/what that might look like.
If the $40MM is royalty(license royalty) it maybe especially wise, being upfront that is. I've read some stories about companies getting around paying recurring royalties.
Google- the bigger they all the harder they fall, if nothing else time will do that.
Good point, Hong is proving his accusers wrong with his strategy for securing his/shrholders a thriving business.
Thank you.
I'm inclined to believe the single use of the word. But the emphasis on licenses around the $40MM gives me pause. Looking forward to the CC. The $120MM per year calculation for just this settlement is satisfying.
From Nostradaamus on ST:
...
Hurray! I'm thankful Hong is stubborn and tenacious.
"with the big boy SK Hynix on their side" yeah, they are attached at the hip from where I sit. What kind of independent deal could NLST make with google? Cash and licenses? Previous use damages? But what about licenses going forward on new products?
Here is how that guy tried to thread that needle:
Hum, could be any time that's for sure. I kinda wonder what N wants from G.
This settlement closes the door to partnering imo, although I've heard on guy trying to thread that needle.
Whatever they report, we will also know what we can't know, that is, what they can't talk about. I'm guessing much will be revealed over time. I'm prepared for that, after all we already know much more than we did 24 hours ago. Yes! the fate of HybriDimm seems a likely subject the company will be expanding on.
IRVINE, Calif., April 5, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Netlist, Inc. announced today that Netlist and SK hynix Inc. have reached an agreement for a patent cross license covering memory technologies of both companies and an agreement for the supply of SK hynix products and technical cooperation on Netlist's CXL HybriDIMM technology.
Easiest was to quadruple from here that I know of.
Yes! I'm waiting for more settlements to materialize. Somedays in 2021 MAYBE early 2022, pps will be double digits.
