The dollar is crushing the euro and TVIX is stagnant
Should be a lot of activity up to the finalizing of the (LOI) and if it goes through this hits .10-20 easily
Up to .05 real soon!
You are absolutely right.
That's why I sold last week and buying now
Whatever this board says do the opposite
Gldtmr- I really have to thank you for putting seasonal indicators into your interesting anecdotes, they have really benefitted my trading. The growth and inflation indicators included. It has allowed me to buy into TVIX at much lower prices and sell when needed.
It looks like winter is slowly creeping back in.
All the best! And thank you.
People don't buy things because they have value, they buy because they think the market will go up. Hedge funds do the same. This is the proper characteristic of an asset bubble.
It just might.
Close at 2.57
It's amazing the extended session folk have no idea how to trade. G-d bless them.
I will. I saw the news. I think the market will turn positive over the next few days hinging on Greece. TVIX will retest 2.60's IMO
Excellent!
Yes, many out there think we already have entered WW III. The Minsk peace talks will consist of a lot verbal appeasement and not much else. On the flip side even though Greece is only 2% of EU GDP it's exit will cause a domino effect in my opinion and apparently also Greenspan's as of yesterday. Let's see what happens. This volatility reeks of instability. All the best to you...
:) I hope something meaningful happens soon. This choppy market is making me nauseous...
Brian Williams suspended from NBC news fir 6 mos. look out here comes the crash!!! Lol
I ask myself that question at least once a week...
Wow! You were in the heartland of Switzerland. Beautiful area. I was in Lucerne however, not in the specific area you visited. I lived on the southern tip of Lac Leman in a mountain village only accessible by cog named Leysin, which sits behind the Jungfrau mountains. The town you pick up the cog train was called Agile which, is 20 min from the world famous town of Montreux. A beautiful country with the best air and water I ever breathed and drank. Not to mention perfectly paved roads and not one thing out of place.
Being born in December and having lived in Switzerland I'm getting a little impatient with these mild seasonal swings in weather. I'm dressed fir winter and am expecting a blizzard.
That's absolutely true! I can't wait. Every morning I'm up at 4 am looking for disastrous headlines. It will be exciting. All the best to you...
All party's eventually come to an end. And usually those that partied the hardest are the ones who pay the stiffest price. I am happy to trade a percentage of my holdings on a weekly basis and keep my core holdings for the next big crash which incidentally, I am in total agreement with Gldtmr in seeing a spike to former prices as in 2011. Let the games begin! All the best...
Alan Greenspan: The Euro is doomed! Great news for TVIX
It sure is!
Talib once said the university system in this country is " fragile" and that a collapse in the student loan bubble would bring a systemic shock to the higher educational system in this country. The next big bubble as he sees it.
A crashing euro is very good for TVIX. Keep your eye on the dollar vs TVIX. Even on an up market day TVIX will respond positively to a down euro
Let's see a nice pull back tomorro. It will fit in line with this schizophrenic week
Negative corp bond rates in Europe, earnings mostly negative, you mean to tell me this change in seasons was brought on by the spike in oil and Greece exiting the EU? You would think this a harbinger of things to come for the EU? With countries like Spain, Italy and Ireland. Gldtmr please explain what happened this week.
All the best
I almost sold TVIX late this afternoon and then my instinct took over and shouted: Noooo! I'm glad I listened.
Sorry I can't pm you. I wish you all the best as well. Not sure what the # 2 mark signifies.
True wisdom
This is what's called refusal to face reality. Economic reality that is. All hype. No substance.
I like the volatility but I'm ready for the market to fall off a cliff and see TVIX jump 3-400%
Yes, I have to agree with you. This last week was the end of the magic show for the EU with Draghi announcing QE and Yellen delaying rates again. Dow goes below 170O this week, oh what fun! China has been propped up by consumer stock participation. Japan is a total disaster. Greece is gone and who is next to follow. Volatility is here to stay. All the best.
Big week for TVIX. That ask price should start at 3.75 in the am
Gldtmr- I'm 100% in on TVIX bought back in on Monday, after your double cross recommendation. Great call btw. Next week will be exciting don't you thjnk?! All the best!!!
Good advice. But wasn't Keynes a market timer?
Good post
